I've never understood why the smaller trailer tents don't fix a handbrake/parking brake to their trailers. Here in Japan, all trailers must have some sort of 'parking brake' or more accurately put, an 'anti-rolling' system. There are three main types. 1)A chain that is affixed to the trailer body and then latches onto the wheel. This is a faff. 2) A handbrake that is connected to two rods/bars of steel that grip onto the tyre. A one-touch chock if you like. 3) A handbrake that engages the brakes on the wheels and more often than not does not include an inertia brake.
If inertia brakes are not considered necessary, then option 2) above would be a relatively cheap cost option that does away with having to place chocks in front of the wheels. Personally, I'd rather see inertia brakes fitted as even relatively light trailer tents are of considerable weight and would make towing a far more pleasurable experience. Especially if you plan to tour a mountainous region with long downhill roads.
