Had this tipi for a couple of years now, and it’s a goodun. As you said, it’s not for backpacking, but in a wooded environment, it’ll do you proud! Had it out in snow, frost and rain and never had an issue. I use a patio bbq mat under my wood stove for safety. You’ll have to make a winter video of this one Dan.
Can’t wait to see you go out in the woodland and use it as a hot tent with a stove. Plus cook something delicious. You are the reason I got into camping and cooking. Just got my twig stove the other day. Been garden testing everything before I take it out
@@englishwoodsman Yes, I can imagine, fab tent though, love your content, very informative and I particularly like the fact you don’t push products, you show what is available and give great details and tips!! I’m very novice, so I am grateful for any advice, thank you again for taking the time to make the content
I have had mine just over 12months. I did a review on Amazon, I only gave it 4 stars as I found it leaked through the flap of the stove jack. I sprayed that spot with Fabsil and it is waterproof now. I dont tend to use the supplied ground sheet as it lets moisture through. Great tent for the money.
Hi matey Just watched your video on this hot tent and I've just bought this Latourreg Tipi Teepee Tent with Stove Hole, Oxford cloth. Cannot wait the get this bad boy out and enjoy the winter.
Wow thanks 😊 Dan, I like very much, just love 🫶 how informative you are an explain things so well. Your prediction 🔮 I believe is so correct, I will be one of them. Looking forward to your video 👌
It would be amazing if you could do a video on the cheapest hot tent stove. I'd really like to start hot tent camping but don't have a large budget. Brilliant video as always Dan.
Thanks for the video, I’d definitely buy one but I have a hexpeak mega horn 11. Despite having a spark arrester on my winerwell nomad stove, I’ve still suffered holes from embers. I’ve found the answer is tenacious tape, instant fix, only problem is the whole tent could end up being made of the stuff!!!
This looks like a good buy Dan. A good colour too. As others have said, would be keen to see you using it in winter conditions. Thanks for the video. Ben 👍⛺️
Been looking at this tent for short wilder camp trips . I’m lucky to have access to a bit of woodland I’m allowed on . And looking at a small stove for tent too. So to echo the comments below . If there’s a budget stove I’d be grateful for a review ( I’ve a robens Klondike G bell tent with outbacker stove we have for family camps ) but this is just for me and mates for a night or two in woodland around a fire basic and bushcraft . Shame it’s heavy as I’d going to start bike touring / packing . Thanks for the review Dan .
I have just bought one because of your video , with your link . A great tent , I put a pioneer stove inside and roasted my nuts off , fell asleep until 3 am , realised I was cold so stoked the fire added more wood and the spent the rest of the night roasting in my tent , got up this morning and there was ice on the ground and also the bottom of the tent . Thanks for the heads up .
Great so far in Scottish conditions - just remember to do up that top tight. The water tends to pool on the skirts on the ground but never soaks through.
I have always wanted a tent like that!!! but ive also never been camping before either but if i do that is the tent i want, even though its a budget tent i still can't afford it :(
Following research - I bought one . And having put it up and checked it out - I bought another ( just in case ) . Apparently some join two together with a tarp ?
Hi hope you are well im looking for advice on where to go camping and fishing i live near Middlesbrough any advice would be appreciated don't want to travel miles 1_2 hours would be great thanks in advance
Looks good for the money but I don't really get the whole hot tent lark, it don't get cold enough in the UK in my opinion. I do live on the south coast though. 😎😎
There is condensation but nothing major. It is a big area inside and plenty of room for 2 adults and all their gear without touching the sides. Has kept out the rain and the water just runs off it.
Hey man..I bought the oex tarp..was bit disappointed with the ties..they small so can’t use sticks..unless they matchsticks..anyway bought some thin pegs😎👍
You said it ts not nylon . Was expecting cotton.. Looks like smaller version of my onetigris fortress .. but the material looks same not canvas ... Never had an issue with iron wall or fortress Am I missing something? Also one of those suspicious Amazon items where all the reviews below 3 stars disappear
I bought this to give it a try unfortunately one of the centre pegging points was missing the reinforcing was there but no attachment! i set it up anyway and spent a night in it, It leaked badly around where the stove jack is and the condensation was terrible running down the sides and dripping everywhere, The groundsheet was useless, fitted well enough but not waterproof and was sodden through so it's getting sent back, which is a shame as i liked it but too many negatives, The Gonex teepee hot tent imo is much better, I Have ordered a One Tigris Rock fortress for a bit more space to get out with my grandson & the dog with hopefully none of the above problems.
If you can at some point review any flash frame tents? I solo camp on my motorcycle and after a long journey it would be nice to not spend time dicking about at the camp site 😂

Nice one mate, will look forward to that vid 😉

Those with hot tents will be the only people warm this winter.
Really appreciate your reviews, Dan. So much kit you uncover that I wouldn't otherwise have known about.

One great thing about 'hot tent' camping videos is to see just how a RUclipsr makes these tents comfortable and welcoming, even in bad weather.
If I had the money I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you again for a great informative video
Hi Clare thankyou for watching a stove cost more then a hot tent so it does get expensive

The pomoly tipi does burn when embers land on it. I've got a few holes. I throw some patches of gorilla tape over it
