My mates sleep in hammocks, but it's too cold for them. So they light a fire, usually the wood is damp and it smokes out the entire camp. They also leave beer cans and bottles everywhere. I don't camp with them anymore. I would always go back and pickup the rubbish but I shouldn't have to

Hey, watched the video while cooking my partner breakfast, brilliant video and very enjoyable to watch. You are refreshing, honest, and having a good time. I reckon you're one of the best RUclipsrs in the wild camping, equipment reviewing section for the UK. Watching you makes me wish I lived in the Sheffield area, be a pleasure and a privilege to share a wild camp with you. I haven't hot tented in over 25 years, used to go out with my mates in Canada. We'd tie a Toboggan to the back of Skidoos ( snow machines) and head out. We used the poles from an old 8-man canvas tent and wrap tarps around it. The stove was an old potbelly stove, that worked well but not perfectly. I had a bag good to minus 60, so wasn't too worried, glad I had it as would go down into the minus 30s on occasion. They were good times. Watching you brings those memories back. ..cheers for that!
Good video Dan👍🏻 Have you thought about do one of the coast to coast walks where you camp along the way? You sure have the gear for a trip like that mate.
Looking at that hot tent thanks for using it. I have 2 of those veg bags and umpteen bags for life that I don’t reuse! Food looked awesome as ever. Stay safe Dan the man atb👍🦊

I bought one at your Referal when you first showed it . Used mine last night with a pioneer stove . An awesome bit of kit . I use the door where the stove sits to the right of the double door with my bed across the widest point . I think in a couple of years all the silver will peel off the inside of the tent but I was so warm and ended up cooking steak on my pioneer stove . It was totally waterproof and I used slow burn 8 hr “man made” logs overnight . So nice to be laying in my sleeping bag listening to the pouring rain . Tim
I don't mind the cold Dan, if I've got the gear for the time out. I like Autumn and Winter as it cuts down how many go out and those who might think about leaving a cosy home to check on some bloke in a tent in their woods and is gone in the morning #lnt. Plus the biggie no flaming bugs!

Hello friend! Drinking coffee in the second half of the day significantly affects the quality of sleep. Even if falling asleep is not a problem, coffee does not help you rest as well for the new day. Try to drink some green tea or herbal teas etc while camping also when not camping :) Sorry for bad english, it is not my native language.

I usually try and set the stove up to burn all night. I add 4-6 lumps of coal just before bed and that keeps things warm for about 6 hours. I just leave the door open a bit.
