This is why in 2011 we launched Spiritual Motherhood of Priests in Ottawa, Canada in response to the Vatican document "Eucharistic Adoration for the Sanctification of Priests and Spiritual Maternity (Congregation pro Clericis, Dec. 8, 2007) whereby make a total self-offering of our lives for the sanctification of priests united to Our Lady of Sorrows. Dear Father, please continue to speak the truth......sending prayers!

It’s so cringe when Christians say they don’t need religion just the relationship with Christ. Jesus gave us a church. He gave us a religion. We follow his church and have a relationship with Christ.
I was raised Protestant Reformed that was overtly anti-Catholic. I married a Catholic and we have a "split" family. I am now Lutheran, which I call "Catholic Light" and I still have some doctrinal and theological issues with Catholicism but am definitely not anti-Catholic. My daughters attend Catholic school and we go to Mass often as well as a very good Conservative Lutheran Church. My disagreements are mostly on "mode" or how we should worship and how grace works. These issues are worth debating but hardly worth dividing over. What pains me is that many of my Reformed brothers and sisters push religion aside and focus solely on their relationship with Christ. This is not an either/or situation. It is a this/and situation. Yes, work on your relationship with Christ first, that is clearly the most important. But we cannot, as followers of Christ ignore His Church. It is the Church and scriptures that reinforce and grow your relationship with God. You MUST have both!
Father, Father, I'de love to hear a reaction of yours to Professor Plink's RUclips channel. I'd love to hear a rebuttal to some of his points. I'm not that knowledgeable in theology, so any rebuttals and discussions help me understand my faith better. Thank you in advance, father!
During Saturday night vigil Tipperary, Our priest during his sermon, told us that Religion and been a Catholic was not needed. That we just need to love one another. And that he didnt know what happened to any of us after Death and we may very well be reincarnated. Has Father Jimmy lost the plot or his faith or both ? Its completely against the Bible and Catholicism to even entertain any notion of reincarnation. There was just something so off about his entire sermon apart from what he was saying
James 1:27 - Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Isaiah 58:6-10 - Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Without the powerful human institution of the Catholic Church that weathered time and space for THOUSANDS of years there would be NO Bible, rituals or traditions from our ancestors. It was the institution, the “religion” that formed the strong structure that allows us to have access to so much of our ancestors wisdom. The Catholic Church and the human institution formed to protect it reflects the genius of Jesus Christ. After all, he was the one that started it.

Adding an extremely high level of credibility to the scriptures. Wait. I got it. ZERO. Without the scriptures, rituals and traditions, maintaining the true story of Jesus and his teachings would have been impossible. Just look what happened after the Protestant Reformation. Now multiple that mess by a couple thousand years. Thank God for the Catholic Church. Literally.
