- A rare chat show between two legends - Milon Gupta (Harmonica) and Sunil Ganguly (Steel Guitar) on All India Radio....along with Milon Deb and others. This programmed was aired somewhere around 1986-87 over two Sundays. Two of the greatest soloist coming together for a live chat was a coup of sorts. This is a completely live informal show broadcast by All India Radio.
The quality of the material is not good at all but its worth an upload so as to hear these two legends speak and play......The show was called Robibarer Adda.
The material is courtesy Mrs Sujata Dutta, daughter of Mr Milon Gupta.

This is a priceless piece of casual Adda with two legends of instrumental music! I am a diehard fan of Milon Gupta. I had one of my friend’s house just opposite to his in Deodar Street (off Hazra Road). We used to sit in their balcony to listen to his playing when he was to teach his students. His renditions are real precious collections for all harmonica fans in India. Many thanks for uploading this program. 🙏🙏

The few pieces that Sunil Ganguly Sir played, including the accompanying music with the Kazi Nazrul Islam poem, is just amazing. Everytime, the compere just cant speak after that. All the three stalwarts played so amazing music.

Sunilda,greatest guitarist of all time,my gurudev.I was his student for 10 years from 1960 to 1970.I can proudly claim that i was one of his dearest,of course not best,student.I had personal touch with sunilda,as well as with dear Bulbul boudi. many do not know how he professionally could sing classical songs & thumri. I had the opportunity to listen his thumri &songs when he used to stay at my residence at Burnpur during 60's.I could only say that valuation was not done about his talent any time.Now i only wish if Kousik Ganguly,his son,to make a documentary on Sunilda. I will be happy if someone convey my messege to Kousik Ganguly. Bahudin por sunildar voice sune khub bhalo laglo.Last i met him in 1995 at his residence at Garia along with my son Sumanta.

Dear Sir, Music knows no bounds. These two maestros along with Moanohari singh were jewels of Instrumental music. Its a pity we do not see any talent shows based on musical instruments.
