I just realized, during the fight between the red pyro and the scout, they grabbed the Boston basher and the three rune blade. _Reskins of each other. The same, just like they are._ Amazing little detail.
I have two theories: 1. The scout symbolically( not literally) became the red pyro; both of their teams where completely killed (pyro's by blu team, and scout's by pyro) - once upon a time in teufort 1-2. both more than likely suffer from PTSD and depression. You can tell because both have flashbacks that make them emotionally unstable 2. The helmet can be one of two things; it's possible that it doesn't grant the wearer any physical power, but only triggers their PTSD into making them hallucinate into thinking they are back where their team was killed, therefore unleashing all the rage and adrenaline. The only things that do not support this theory are the scenes where it seemed pyro had been given a sort of supernatural power, and simply that we do not know the pyro's backstory for sure( as usual) though we do know that he/she/it shows the same sentimentality towards the helmet as scout. The second thing it can be, is a cursed helmet that the red pyro had to literally sell his soul for. Let me explain, pyro's entire team dies, pyro is the only survivor it seems until we see him crawl back to a horribly disfigured version of each playable tf2 class which can only be HIS DEAD TEAM. My guess, pyro sold his soul to the devil for a helmet and his team back. That's why they let the pyro boss them around, he basically saved them from death. In this theory, the helmet grants a supernatural power. I really love this series. It has all the qualities of a great story, and a great animation from what i can tell. Best sfm series on youtube hands down. I know this comment is really late, but I only started playing tf2 around the time the jungle inferno update came out, and I only started watching sfm's about a month after that, aaaaand i could sleep without writing a mile-long comment on one until now. I wrote this for the people that watched the series, but Konstantine Rymaruk will probably be the only one that reads this if he/she does. summer is sooooooo boring when you're unemployed/ out of school.

Nah pyro didn't care the slightest about the 2fort team. He already had his own team from start and accepted this mission because he needed something there imao
The scout became the pyro, he killed the demo -puss at the end with his own revolver, the helmet carried red pyros soul, so when he put it on he became it.

I believe that the BLU Scout became the Pyro for obvious reasons. 1. Scout was the one with the revolver, and there was only a cutscene of Pyro ripping out his throat; no revolver cutscene. 2. Pyro realizes the BLU Engineer is alive and breathing, though he takes no action. 3. BLU Scout did not kill any of the Pyro's team, nor did he actually destroy the base. 4. Pyro pulled a heater onto Demo, cutting his life short as he turned around, and is CLEARLY aiming at him.

Jesus that ending was so sad. Everyone that watches your series and I, we just love your work and this series. It really hits your heart, and most TF2 series don't do that. We all should and would respect and understand if you stop the Ghosts of the Past series. Thank you for your work and dedication for giving us 5 episodes.
I called this from episode one, and with what others think so far I guess I'll share. Basically ever since it showed the scout getting depressed I thought it would snowball, then he puts on the helmet and continues despite what his dead friends tell him in his illusion. Now just thinking about it you can think of his dead friends, in where they show up and how he regards them, sort of who he wants to be himself, his morality, and his humanity. Now on the opposite side, the helmet is the dark decent into further depression and the loss of himself, making him more and more like the pyro everytime he uses it. Now the pyro is getting flashbacks to the blu team members he killed and if you look at it I believe the Red Pyro is the Blu scout. Now there is two main holes this leaves, which are: 1. How can there be two of the same person at the same time 2. What was that death scene for the scout all about But besides that just go look back and see the comparisons of the Red pyro and Blu Scout. We also have 2 more videos to possibly explain away the plot holes in this theory if this is truly what he is going for.
I've got my own theories on this. Based on what we see from the Robots Scout might have been trying to recreate his dead teammates as robots as well as the Pyro. Perhaps believing that if he brought the Pyro back and killed it again it would somehow cure his PTSD. As for the the Death Scene I think the Pyro did in fact kill him, the scene in the diner represents how Scout died long before his actual death. The scout that was died in 2Fort with the rest of his team. And the trauma of that experience and the corrupting influence of the helmet has twisted the Scout into someone completely different than who he was. Plus it's a death hallucination it doesn't have to make sense.
I don't really agree with your theory but for the ''both characters are here at the sale time and interact''problem you just have to remember fight club, they pointed guns at each other, they talked etc because you can always tell to yourself or hurt yourself
I can't get over how well you composed the bar scene in this episode. The rule of thirds and the close up's you composed in the shots worked outstandingly well with the overall cinematography. It took me a few rewatches to notice the crows (I hope they're crows) pecking at something between his current and young, not mentally scared, self in the background. "Let's Find Each Other Tonight" was a great choice in music to convey a message; it reminded me of Guardian's of The Galaxy's approach to character development. I was also surprised that you took the protagonist killing route. Lots of people say that killing off a main character is bad writing, but to be honest I thought it was a great move. Overall, you're an amazing and talented individual. Don't force yourself to do anything. Take a break and enjoy yourself. The work and dedication that you put into this series speaks for itself. Valve should put like a special trophy just for you and you'd be the only one to own it because this is amazing. The animations were fluent and the camera work was superb. You should get rewarded for this series once it is done because you put very much effort into these films. They should be recognized and idled by the community. It is truly a work of art. A creator with a lot of potential who was borderline cornered into continuing a series because the first one or two videos were really good. So now the creator feels pressured to make more and ends up becoming sick and tired of doing something they have a lot of potential for. Nevertheless, it's another fantastic entry into this series. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
I loved it, just as much as the other episodes. I can't imagine the work this takes, but each time a new episode releases, I take the time to watch through every previous one to make sure I can enjoy it as much as possible. Keep it up.
Some questions I still have... 1) why did red Pyro dig up Spy and leave his veterans badge? 2) why did Scout have those robot versions of Spy, Medic, and Pyro? 3) what exactly is with the helmet? And why did Medic even pick it up, unless Scout asked for it? Why would Scout even want the helmet of the guy who killed all his friends? 4) why did Pyro kill his team and burn the base?
If you ended the video with that happy scene at 11:11 that would have been a bittersweet ending. Scout finally finds peace with all those who died in the series, tho it would imply pyro and engie died, I thought it was gonna end right there with everyone dead but happy at the bar. It made me tear up a little when I saw spy and sniper there, I thought scout was in the afterlife with them all. Alas, I was wrong, just seeing if anyone else had the same thoughts.

I don't think he shoots the demoman, because the gun wasn't even pointed towards the demo, and the demo turns after the shot for a split second, so he probably shot something else.
It would be cool but, an I have the same problem when showing the series to other people, if you are not familiar with TF2 some aspects are difficult to understand, especially the OUTI2F episodes.

Considering the fire was burning before Scout got there and Pyro was dragging something that looked like it could be a gas can, I think it's possible the Pyro burned down his own base and killed his team. I'm not sure why he would do that or retrieve the Spy's body, but that will likely be explained.
I'm a little late, but this has been by far my favorite SFM series out there. The ending was something else, that scene in the bar just hit me hard man. The storytelling you've built up over these 5 episodes really makes this finale be that much greater. You've done excellent work here, despite the physical and emotional drains it caused you. Great job, this deserves so much more praise than it got.

Holy fuck this is another whopper. I can't believe I didn't notice this one came out until almost half a year later, but damn it's amazing. I don't think I get this much shock from anything other than television shows, that's how good this is. Loved the twist ending, it really takes this in an interesting direction, what with our main protagonist being dead and all. I'm curious to see where it all pans out from here.
He slowly developed into what you would consider as the "bad guy" over time. He wasn't always like this. He also never intended to kill the sniper. He was hallucinating due to his PTSD.
That throat thing was so well executed, my throat hurts too. The sympathetic response (is that what it is when you hurt seeing some one else hurt?) was so strong, holy frick dude. It’s so good and sad
It is such a gut wrenching scene in the bar when he see the friends he lost and those he killed, it has been a really emotional ride seeing the scout turn into the thing he hated. There was no going back when he put that helmet on, and there was no other way it was going to end for him. You sir have made the best sfm series on RUclips and I thank you for that.
it’s very interesting that before Blu Scout’s death he has a vision with all his friends, especially those who died, this may well represent his last thoughts as well him going to heaven. Scout also sees himself with his friends, probably representing his old self who had died at that moment and is noted that at the end you can only see the Scout from the past and not the present Scout, because he died and now he can join his friends and all the others he has killed as the better version of himself
Seriously that i see no one talking about 12:40 ? Red pyro on the cooking area's door (that has a White Light coming from it) The bartender/medic from OUT2Fort (2 part) and the red spy are now dolls, idk if red pyro's vessels or anything like that (actually, every other character becomes a doll except the scout and his old friends)
The line in the song “Everything will be alright” sort of makes me think of coming to terms with death. People tend to say to some that is going to die that everything will be alright. Well picked song. It seems as if the old squad appeared because of scout’s incoming death, as a way of saying that “everything will be alright, you’ll be with us soon”. Also, notice how everyone who was at scout’s table ended up dying. Sniper, pyro(who’s neck was snapped after the car crash) scout’s old squad, and scout himself. Seems as if scout is a bad luck charm. Maybe I’m looking a slight bit too far into it, but hey, still a bit cool to me
The song was kind of intentional. It's was a reference to the movie Fargo, I found the scene where it plays to be hilarious. One of my favorite movies! But the lyrics worked in their own way as well.

This series has all the weight to it that a major literary classic does. It’s so meaty, so full of substance. I’ve never seen an SFM series like this before and it is _tremendous._ Please keep doing as you do, whatever you do, with the knowledge that your craftsmanship is so, so incredible. I feel bad for that scout. He started off as a young scout in 2fort, then lost his entire team of friends, then became depressed, to the point of becoming a deranged psychopath that had no idea of what he is doing
3:19 It is such a miniscule detail but the body motion of these two, especially the Engineer who even bit his lower lip when he struggles to stick in the key to the engine. It is phenomenal! Also Sentry best boy. Keep up this good work when you feel up for it, it is some real good quality!

You probably won't see this but I just wanted to say you're probably the best at making a dramatic and compelling story using sfm only person I think is anywhere near that is winglet but you're sfms tell a deep and compelling story the likes of which I've never seen on this platform take you're time man however long it takes I'll be there to watch it once it shows up on my subscription feed in the meantime I will watch some of the other stuff

Dude, you are one of the best animator's I've seen that is super underrated. You made just simple characters from some video game and turned it into something so emotional and horrifying, shocking, too. It felt like I was watching a movie, and the fact that you did all of this yourself is amazing. Props to you, man. You are a great animator, and I know you're really not liking to animate it but, you can take as long as you can. I understand you need breaks here and there, I just don't want you to stop animating because you're amazingly great at it. You're amazing at writing, and so good at animating, every little smirk, frown and facial expression of every character I see is just amazing because of how much effort you put into you're videos. I usually don't feel bad about things a lot and the scene at 11:13 really made me feel emotional. You're great at animating, and writing. Keep it up, dude, cause one day it'll all pay off.

I just found this series and I AM BLOWN AWAY. This is probably one of the most emotional sfm movies in existence. It also has a message about the effects war has on a person. Bold, and yes, sometimes hard to watch, but it is done so well. This deserves a lot more recognition.
I love the static effect you’ve editted into all the ghost of the past videos, it gives it that somber feeling like we’re watching scouts view but extremely distorted because of PTSD If you look closely you can see it
Dude, this was really great, when i was watching it, I felt that you must've used scenes from movies as a reference. And when i read your description, I was right hahah! But seriously man, i've watched this story ever since you released ep.1, and I'm really happy what you've created. What a tragedy for scout, overwhelmed from what he had gone through, he couldn't let go of the past. Even with the warnings from his own dead friends, it wasn't enough to lead him away from changing into a monster. And in the end, face to face with the Pyro from 2Fort, was killed by the Pyro and was devoured by the monster. I'll be patient for the last two episodes, I cant wait to see how it ends. Whatever happens, happens.

honestly after binge watching this series its amazing that people make this kind of content, its kinda rare (to me anyway) to see these wonderful things being made and honestly its very inspiring for content creators or people who would like to make things like these, overall with this story in particular it was very entertaining to watch and i loved the little "the shining" reference hehe, as for the ending that actually kinda suprised me, however i did have other thoughts of what may have happened (and after reading all the previous comments lol) and as a soldier would say and what i ahall say to you for being an awesome creator god speed ya magnificent bastard
I just realized in my most recent rewatch that Scout became a completely different person when he encountered his nemesis. He became more energetic, his movements more quick, and he was the most vocal he had been in ages. But the thing that really stuck out to me was that he genuinely smiled. At least twice!

Nothing will ever change how i see this series and the final episode especially, outstanding. The way these characters are portrayed and how the story flows just feels so real and makes me so immersed. Mountain lab always has been and always will be my favourite map and this makes me see it in a whole different way. Thanks for your brilliant story, Konstantine.

You my friend have made it fucking perfect I could easily pick up what the pyro was saying and the subtitles helped to make me realize that it never was random mumbling. That bar scene was... Haunting. I LOVED how it was executed. It seemed that maybe (somehow) things were going to be okay, but then you realize something’s not right here, then something’s DEFINITELY not right here. Then that confrontation with the old BLU team and that switch to the car radio... I am going to remember that. I love your SFMs and story-telling. :] Though limited by the amount of character lines to use (except pyro in this case), I think it’s a good thing so you (as the audience) focus more on the action and environment. (And at 4:48, that was a perfectly angled shot where the arrow of the weather vane seemed to go through Scout’s head. Intentional? )
thank you so much! as for the arrow, to be honest i don't remember if that was a coincidence or not... originally i added it to make the scene less static along with the leaves flying by. and if i was following the same logic for that particular shot then i would've moved scout to the side so it wasn't obstructed by his head. so since i left it in such a specific position i guess it was intentional? hmm. lol nice find! either way, glad you enjoyed the video! stay tuned for 2 more episodes! :)

Absolutely love how you’ve been working on this serie for the last 6 years, I remember the first time I looked at Once upon a time back in 4th grade and ever since I’ve been looking over and over again. This video is now 1 year old and I’m wondering is there another episode coming anytime soon?
Hard to say if it's coming any time soon but I'm working on it. I've had very bad last 2 years, this year in particular I've had a lot of health issues that managed to get worse. So at the moment, aside from doing my regular everyday chores like work, powerlifting etc. I also now have to attend the doctor every week. Still I try to animate the new video multiple times a week, though I wish I could do it more often. :( Doing my best to keep the work going.
This is the first sfm that left me speechless.... I hope you make more but if its eating up your life we will understand if you dont but you are now my favorite sfm maker/artist it just beautiful
There are two more episodes in the Ghosts of the Past series. Just subscribe to his channel and enable notifications. Someday he will make the last two, but a project this size for someone like Konstantine could take upwards of a 8 months to a year for one episode. He has confirmed that he is working on the next episode as recently as last week.
after 2 years i have listened to exile vilify for ages, i always remeber this beacuse my friend died a while back, and to hear that there might be 2 more episodes gets me sooooooooo happy... like he said... even if its years worth time.. its worth the wait :)
I'm having a theory that the scout and his old team or his robot or new team and then the red pyro brings his team and they all do a final show down in the destroyed tefort at the end and maybe theirs some flash backs when they where in tefort but don't worry that's just a theory a tf2 theory thanks for watching *game theory reference *
I legitimately felt something in my throat, like wanting to throw up throughout the whole progression from the bar scene to his death. No other TF2 story-teller has made me feel like this and we're a lucky community to have someone of your talent around. Thank you. I still miss BLU Scout
My theory on wtf just happened: So my theory is that the main reason why that RED Pyro doesn't want the BLU scout to wear the helmet is because the helmet makes scout go into the body of the red pyro and have hallucinations which would explain how he killed the blu sniper but the red spy was intentional, what helps this theory to be true is in the end before scout puts on the helmet there is a split second that pyro panicked... then this also explains why pyro killed demoman and says that the scout killed the team when clearly the pyro did it before scout got there
That does explain the ending of this episode. We do know that whoever wears it gets unbelievable powers and we have never actually seen the Scout fighting with it on. I think that Pyro may have destroyed his own base though. For what reason, we don't know, but he called the team to assemble so he could have executed them and burned down his own base, as he was dragging something when Scout found him. It looks like a gas can.
And to follow up, the time where the pyro said the scout destroyed his base and killed his team, that's true because the scout wore the helmet and then took control of pyro. Now the reason why pyro shot demo is because the scout already took full control of pyro which is also one of the reason why the pyro didn't kill the engie, and scout's body is just useless now because he is already the pyro. Who knows what he'll do now, maybe resurrect the sniper and spy that he killed (because of how the original pyro's team looks like his undead version of teammates)

Loved it. The favorite part was the time when Scout(?) got on the helmet when he was fighting Pyro(?), was in the restaraunt. And the song was just icing on the cake. "Everything will be alright"

I have two theories:
1. The scout symbolically( not literally) became the red pyro; both of their teams where completely killed (pyro's by blu team, and scout's by pyro) - once upon a time in teufort 1-2. both more than likely suffer from PTSD and depression. You can tell because both have flashbacks that make them emotionally unstable
2. The helmet can be one of two things; it's possible that it doesn't grant the wearer any physical power, but only triggers their PTSD into making them hallucinate into thinking they are back where their team was killed, therefore unleashing all the rage and adrenaline. The only things that do not support this theory are the scenes where it seemed pyro had been given a sort of supernatural power, and simply that we do not know the pyro's backstory for sure( as usual) though we do know that he/she/it shows the same sentimentality towards the helmet as scout. The second thing it can be, is a cursed helmet that the red pyro had to literally sell his soul for. Let me explain, pyro's entire team dies, pyro is the only survivor it seems until we see him crawl back to a horribly disfigured version of each playable tf2 class which can only be HIS DEAD TEAM. My guess, pyro sold his soul to the devil for a helmet and his team back. That's why they let the pyro boss them around, he basically saved them from death. In this theory, the helmet grants a supernatural power.
I really love this series. It has all the qualities of a great story, and a great animation from what i can tell. Best sfm series on youtube hands down. I know this comment is really late, but I only started playing tf2 around the time the jungle inferno update came out, and I only started watching sfm's about a month after that, aaaaand i could sleep without writing a mile-long comment on one until now. I wrote this for the people that watched the series, but Konstantine Rymaruk will probably be the only one that reads this if he/she does. summer is sooooooo boring when you're unemployed/ out of school.

The scout became the pyro, he killed the demo -puss at the end with his own revolver, the helmet carried red pyros soul, so when he put it on he became it.

I believe that the BLU Scout became the Pyro for obvious reasons.
1. Scout was the one with the revolver, and there was only a cutscene of Pyro ripping out his throat; no revolver cutscene.
2. Pyro realizes the BLU Engineer is alive and breathing, though he takes no action.
3. BLU Scout did not kill any of the Pyro's team, nor did he actually destroy the base.
4. Pyro pulled a heater onto Demo, cutting his life short as he turned around, and is CLEARLY aiming at him.

Jesus that ending was so sad. Everyone that watches your series and I, we just love your work and this series. It really hits your heart, and most TF2 series don't do that. I called this from episode one, and with what others think so far I guess I'll share. Basically ever since it showed the scout getting depressed I thought it would snowball, then he puts on the helmet and continues despite what his dead friends tell him in his illusion. Now just thinking about it you can think of his dead friends, in where they show up and how he regards them, sort of who he wants to be himself, his morality, and his humanity. Now on the opposite side, the helmet is the dark decent into further depression and the loss of himself, making him more and more like the pyro everytime he uses it. Now the pyro is getting flashbacks to the blu team members he killed and if you look at it I believe the Red Pyro is the Blu scout. Now there is two main holes this leaves, which are: 1. How can there be two of the same person at the same time
2. What was that death scene for the scout all about
But besides that just go look back and see the comparisons of the Red pyro and Blu Scout. We also have 2 more videos to possibly explain away the plot holes in this theory if this is truly what he is going for.

I've got my own theories on this. Based on what we see from the Robots Scout might have been trying to recreate his dead teammates as robots as well as the Pyro. Perhaps believing that if he brought the Pyro back and killed it again it would somehow cure his PTSD. As for the the Death Scene I think the Pyro did in fact kill him, the scene in the diner represents how Scout died long before his actual death. The scout that was died in 2Fort with the rest of his team. And the trauma of that experience and the corrupting influence of the helmet has twisted the Scout into someone completely different than who he was. Plus it's a death hallucination it doesn't have to make sense.
I don't really agree with your theory but for the ''both characters are here at the sale time and interact''problem you just have to remember fight club, they pointed guns at each other, they talked etc because you can always tell to yourself or hurt yourself
I can't get over how well you composed the bar scene in this episode. The rule of thirds and the close up's you composed in the shots worked outstandingly well with the overall cinematography. It took me a few rewatches to notice the crows (I hope they're crows) pecking at something between his current and young, not mentally scared, self in the background. "Let's Find Each Other Tonight" was a great choice in music to convey a message; it reminded me of Guardian's of The Galaxy's approach to character development.
I was also surprised that you took the protagonist killing route. Lots of people say that killing off a main character is bad writing, but to be honest I thought it was a great move.
Overall, you're an amazing and talented individual. Don't force yourself to do anything. Take a break and enjoy yourself. The work and dedication that you put into this series speaks for itself. Have a wonderful day.

Scout's death is so brutal
Valve should put like a special trophy just for you and you'd be the only one to own it because this is amazing. The animations were fluent and the camera work was superb. You should get rewarded for this series once it is done because you put very much effort into these films. They should be recognized and idled by the community. It is truly a work of art. This always makes me really sad when I see this. A creator with a lot of potential who was borderline cornered into continuing a series because the first one or two videos were really good. So now the creator feels pressured to make more and ends up becoming sick and tired of doing something they have a lot of potential for.
Nevertheless, it's another fantastic entry into this series. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

1) why did red Pyro dig up Spy and leave his veterans badge?

3) what exactly is with the helmet? And why did Medic even pick it up, unless Scout asked for it? Why would Scout even want the helmet of the guy who killed all his friends?
4) why did Pyro kill his team and burn the base?

If you ended the video with that happy scene at 11:11 that would have been a bittersweet ending. Scout finally finds peace with all those who died in the series, tho it would imply pyro and engie died, I thought it was gonna end right there with everyone dead but happy at the bar. It made me tear up a little when I saw spy and sniper there, I thought scout was in the afterlife with them all. Alas, I was wrong, just seeing if anyone else had the same thoughts.

I don't think he shoots the demoman, because the gun wasn't even pointed towards the demo, and the demo turns after the shot for a split second, so he probably shot something else.

Posting this video is a mountain off my shoulders. Don’t ask me when is the next one, because it took me around 8 months to make this one. I can’t stand to look at anything SFM related at the moment, let alone this episode. But there are 2 episodes left in the series. Hopefully they will be under 5 minutes, because a 15 minute video was agonizing to make.

Considering the fire was burning before Scout got there and Pyro was dragging something that looked like it could be a gas can, I think it's possible the Pyro burned down his own base and killed his team. I'm not sure why he would do that or retrieve the Spy's body, but that will likely be explained.

I'm a little late, but this has been by far my favorite SFM series out there. The ending was something else, that scene in the bar just hit me hard man. The storytelling you've built up over these 5 episodes really makes this finale be that much greater. You've done excellent work here, despite the physical and emotional drains it caused you. Great job, this deserves so much more praise than it got.

Holy fuck this is another whopper. I can't believe I didn't notice this one came out until almost half a year later, but damn it's amazing.
I don't think I get this much shock from anything other than television shows, that's how good this is. Loved the twist ending, it really takes this in an interesting direction, what with our main protagonist being dead and all. I'm curious to see where it all pans out from here.

He slowly developed into what you would consider as the "bad guy" over time. He wasn't always like this. He also never intended to kill the sniper. He was hallucinating due to his PTSD.

It is such a gut wrenching scene in the bar when he see the friends he lost and those he killed, it has been a really emotional ride seeing the scout turn into the thing he hated. There was no going back when he put that helmet on, and there was no other way it was going to end for him. You sir have made the best sfm series on RUclips and I thank you for that.

I like the double plot twist at the end. My theory, scout became that pyro or something. At least, that's what I hope
it’s very interesting that before Blu Scout’s death he has a vision with all his friends, especially those who died, this may well represent his last thoughts as well him going to heaven.
Scout also sees himself with his friends, probably representing his old self who had died at that moment and is noted that at the end you can only see the Scout from the past and not the present Scout, because he died and now he can join his friends and all the others he has killed as the better version of himself

The bartender/medic from OUT2Fort (2 part) and the red spy are now dolls, idk if red pyro's vessels or anything like that (actually, every other character becomes a doll except the scout and his old friends)
The line in the song “Everything will be alright” sort of makes me think of coming to terms with death. People tend to say to some that is going to die that everything will be alright. Well picked song. It seems as if the old squad appeared because of scout’s incoming death, as a way of saying that “everything will be alright, you’ll be with us soon”. Also, notice how everyone who was at scout’s table ended up dying. Sniper, pyro(who’s neck was snapped after the car crash) scout’s old squad, and scout himself. Seems as if scout is a bad luck charm. Maybe I’m looking a slight bit too far into it, but hey, still a bit cool to me
The song was kind of intentional. It's was a reference to the movie Fargo, I found the scene where it plays to be hilarious. One of my favorite movies! But the lyrics worked in their own way as well.

This series has all the weight to it that a major literary classic does. It’s so meaty, so full of substance. I’ve never seen an SFM series like this before and it is _tremendous._ Please keep doing as you do, whatever you do, with the knowledge that your craftsmanship is so, so incredible. Dude, you are one of the best animator's I've seen that is super underrated. You made just simple characters from some video game and turned it into something so emotional and horrifying, shocking, too. It felt like I was watching a movie, and the fact that you did all of this yourself is amazing. Props to you, man. You are a great animator, and I know you're really not liking to animate it but, you can take as long as you can. I understand you need breaks here and there, I just don't want you to stop animating because you're amazingly great at it. You're amazing at writing, and so good at animating, every little smirk, frown and facial expression of every character I see is just amazing because of how much effort you put into you're videos. I usually don't feel bad about things a lot and the scene at 11:13 really made me feel emotional. You're great at animating, and writing. Keep it up, dude, cause one day it'll all pay off.

I just found this series and I AM BLOWN AWAY. This is probably one of the most emotional sfm movies in existence. It also has a message about the effects war has on a person. Bold, and yes, sometimes hard to watch, but it is done so well. This deserves a lot more recognition.
I love the static effect you’ve editted into all the ghost of the past videos, it gives it that somber feeling like we’re watching scouts view but extremely distorted because of PTSD

Dude, this was really great, when i was watching it, I felt that you must've used scenes from movies as a reference. And when i read your description, I was right hahah! But seriously man, i've watched this story ever since you released ep.1, and I'm really happy what you've created.
What a tragedy for scout, overwhelmed from what he had gone through, he couldn't let go of the past. Even with the warnings from his own dead friends, it wasn't enough to lead him away from changing into a monster. And in the end, face to face with the Pyro from 2Fort, was killed by the Pyro and was devoured by the monster.
I'll be patient for the last two episodes, I cant wait to see how it ends. Whatever happens, happens.

The Bar Scene in this episode never fails to make me tear up, no matter how many times i watch it
I just realized in my most recent rewatch that Scout became a completely different person when he encountered his nemesis.
He became more energetic, his movements more quick, and he was the most vocal he had been in ages.
But the thing that really stuck out to me was that he genuinely smiled. At least twice!

Nothing will ever change how i see this series and the final episode especially, outstanding. The way these characters are portrayed and how the story flows just feels so real and makes me so immersed. Mountain lab always has been and always will be my favourite map and this makes me see it in a whole different way.

EDIT: I forgot to add that the pyro voice you have made? It's fucking perfect. I have been playing TF2 for a long time and I know what each voice line of the pyro says (expect the random mumbles he has) and seen people like trying to use sentry head n stuff like that when they made their videos. You my friend have made it fucking perfect I could easily pick up what the pyro was saying and the subtitles helped to make me realize that it never was random mumbling. (Like on Episode 3 "The hell do you want?") Really love your work

As for pyro VO - yes I do the VO myself. I lower the pitch for the Red pyro, tho. I LOVED how it was executed. It seemed that maybe (somehow) things were going to be okay, but then you realize something’s not right here, then something’s DEFINITELY not right here. Then that confrontation with the old BLU team and that switch to the car radio... I am going to remember that.
I love your SFMs and story-telling. :] Though limited by the amount of character lines to use (except pyro in this case), I think it’s a good thing so you (as the audience) focus more on the action and environment. (And at 4:48, that was a perfectly angled shot where the arrow of the weather vane seemed to go through Scout’s head. Intentional? )

as for the arrow, to be honest i don't remember if that was a coincidence or not... originally i added it to make the scene less static along with the leaves flying by. and if i was following the same logic for that particular shot then i would've moved scout to the side so it wasn't obstructed by his head. so since i left it in such a specific position i guess it was intentional? hmm. lol nice find!

Absolutely love how you’ve been working on this serie for the last 6 years, I remember the first time I looked at Once upon a time back in 4th grade and ever since I’ve been looking over and over again. This video is now 1 year old and I’m wondering is there another episode coming anytime soon?
Hard to say if it's coming any time soon but I'm working on it. I've had very bad last 2 years, this year in particular I've had a lot of health issues that managed to get worse. So at the moment, aside from doing my regular everyday chores like work, powerlifting etc. I also now have to attend the doctor every week. Still I try to animate the new video multiple times a week, though I wish I could do it more often. :( Doing my best to keep the work going.
This is the first sfm that left me speechless.... I hope you make more but if its eating up your life we will understand if you dont but you are now my favorite sfm maker/artist it just beautiful

There are two more episodes in the Ghosts of the Past series. Just subscribe to his channel and enable notifications. Someday he will make the last two, but a project this size for someone like Konstantine could take upwards of a 8 months to a year for one episode. He has confirmed that he is working on the next episode as recently as last week.
after 2 years i have listened to exile vilify for ages, i always remeber this beacuse my friend died a while back, and to hear that there might be 2 more episodes gets me sooooooooo happy... like he said... even if its years worth time.. its worth the wait :)

My theory on wtf just happened:
So my theory is that the main reason why that RED Pyro doesn't want the BLU scout to wear the helmet is because the helmet makes scout go into the body of the red pyro and have hallucinations which would explain how he killed the blu sniper but the red spy was intentional, what helps this theory to be true is in the end before scout puts on the helmet there is a split second that pyro panicked... then this also explains why pyro killed demoman and says that the scout killed the team when clearly the pyro did it before scout got there
That does explain the ending of this episode. We do know that whoever wears it gets unbelievable powers and we have never actually seen the Scout fighting with it on. I think that Pyro may have destroyed his own base though. For what reason, we don't know, but he called the team to assemble so he could have executed them and burned down his own base, as he was dragging something when Scout found him. It looks like a gas can.
And to follow up, the time where the pyro said the scout destroyed his base and killed his team, that's true because the scout wore the helmet and then took control of pyro. Now the reason why pyro shot demo is because the scout already took full control of pyro which is also one of the reason why the pyro didn't kill the engie, and scout's body is just useless now because he is already the pyro. Who knows what he'll do now, maybe resurrect the sniper and spy that he killed (because of how the original pyro's team looks like his undead version of teammates)

Loved it. The favorite part was the time when Scout(?) got on the helmet when he was fighting Pyro(?), was in the restaraunt. And the song was just icing on the cake. "Everything will be alright"
