Some of the hardest cope I’ve ever heard.
yeah but his argument was about the range. Sure hunter can get 2000 plus melee damage in an infinte ability loop however the vast majority of that damage is against a singular target with Calibans only doing some ignition. Compared to this build which can chunk rooms full of enemies in a single use, hell even half a melee charge using just the up swing of consecration. It can still put out chunky damage. I believe the hunter melee was hitting for 187,000 with counter punch where in this video Cross managed about 100,000+ on single target. Given that it can delete rooms full with one button press I would argue its up theire with liars caliban.

Lance cap with consecration is a great pairing, the new aspect shield into knock out and thunder clap does insane damage with the spirit of contact. Also we have weapons to enhanced these things. Khovostol and monte carlo synergies with titans a lot. Khovostol and the ability to add clear and create orbs Monte Carlo for obvious reasons. Unfortunately the knockout punches don't work with spirit of the assassin either, I wish we had some consistency on what does or doesn't work, it feels like it should. Was so excited then so dissapointed when I started using assassin + syntho
I agree on consistency because I thought Combination Blow was also supposed to get the change Knockout did but I’m making orbs with Heavy Handed with it still even when using the uncharged melee.
I am an arc hunter main and I am here to tell you combination blow is the uncontested best melee ability in the game. It absolutely needs that functionality youre talking about removed, and plenty of other changes to tone it down. Its insane that it has been left alone this long.
@@Vixenlive22 if thats the route bungie wants to go thats fine, but look at the other arc hunter melee for context. Its called “disorienting blow” which people may not know because nobody ever talks about it, or makes builds on it, or uses it. Also, knockout is an aspect so i could at least see that being ok for it to get this free proccing, but letting combination blow have that function as just a basic melee option with no other investment is outrageous haha This is more of a “combination blow is way op” than a “leave knockout nerfed” comment haha
I get what you're saying cross but you can't tell me with a straight face that this is just as good as hunters ITS NOT we got screwed hunters can clear rooms and do crazy one two punch DPS with slows and weakens and go invisible it's crazy Titans can make a small explosion and a jolt effect it's nowhere near the same power level
I agree. Hunters should not be the punchy boi, that should be titans domain. Hunters should have utility melees. And also be able to stab with uncharged melees on all subclasses, but thats a different discussion. I say this as an arc hunter main, and i refuse to use combination blow because it doesnt fit the identity of hunter.
Titans are nerft to the ground and the key exotic nerft and wholesale for all other classes to use.. only specific builds work or some class exotic dorp thats only available for the hardcore playerbase.. luckily have 3 classes so switching to warlock
The thing is-- when we hit GM content and overall harder content than we have seen thusfar, these melee builds fall apart because you literally cannot afford to get as close as you need to be to make sure the build functions properly. For casual content even through some legendary content, sure. But anyone with aspirations higher than that, this just will not work eventually.
Sorry brother, this isn't a versatile build at all. Not everyone wants to use Montecarlo in their build, so this is gonna lack a lot of melee uptime. Knockout is not a good reliable source of healing and this build would've been 1000% times better if it could work with normal powered knockout melees.

Get those exotic class item combos rolling. There’s hope for us yet ladies and gentleman. I promise. Never give up never surrender. Titans ARE THE BATTLEFIELD!
Imma keep it real with you Cross, prismatic Titan feels alot like subclass 2.0. Very little if any abilities feeding into one another, nothing that takes advantage of subclass verbs interacting, and sending a bunch of non-syngergetic things then waiting for cooldowns.
Still wish they would’ve given titans the exotic perk that refreshes melee charge on melee kill (the arc one I forget the name of) as a way to try and give “the melee class” as many melees as Hunter has
@@kidbu916and all Hunter has to do is dodge. The problem with Prismatic Titan is getting your melee back when you don't have any, with a class so focused on melee abilities they did a terrible job of giving us the ability to get it back quickly. With a 2 1/2 minute cool down because frenzy blade need to be so long for no reason
I had a bunch of fun with a Peregrine build during the legend campaign. It worked really well since you could freeze with a diamond lance then follow with the instant kill.
I prefer spirit of contact and spirit of innermost light. That's because your melee damage gets supercharged by your other abilities and you can melee more often. The loss of the explosion is only minor as you already AOE clear with spirit of contact so doubling up makes no difference. This roll has both add clear and increased damage for major killing.
Personally going after this roll, and one with HOIL instead of Severance so that I can consecration slam more often. Because I found that using a glacier grenade and then slamming into it does a lot of damage from the shatter and ignition, And I have a roll with HOIL and Synthoceps currently that I’ve been having fun with. But I found out as I’m in the air with consecration my melee recharges faster thanks to HOIL. So I literally only use half a charge to no charge at all for consecration.
Dude I’m loving the new class items. I got lucky with an Innermost Light/ Armamentarium roll on my Titan and I love i with the consecration and stasis prismatic build.
I know this seems kinda meh, but i want to try and get a spirit of Galanor / Spirit of the star eater, if i can it that, i'll be happy.... wish that the exotic could of had all the legendary and exotic styles tho
Another combination that really slaps is the spirit of the eternal warrior and the spirit of the star eater. Cast your super (which does more damage) and then have a 4x surge bonus damage for like 30 seconds . It melts the witness (especially since everyone knows they are going to nerf still hunt)
Hallowfire heart with the frenzied blade consecration is pretty good. As long as ur throwing hammer super is charged, ur melee cooldown goes to about 16 sec.
I’ve been rocking similar build but big differences was that I used shackle grenade along with my class item being in most light and syncho. With that combo I was getting upward to 470,000 damage off just one consecration
One thing is for certain, Titan needs to see all ‘slide to melee’ aspects added to prismatic. Those new Titan gauntlets would go crazy if we could actually use them with its associated aspect on prissy
I'm curious how this compares with the Severance/Synthoceps combo. Sytho's requires you to be surrounded, but for boss damage I feel it could be way higher.

When I saw the perk lisy for the class item, this was the exact roll I knew I'd want. I've been looking for a vid showcasing this perk combo and was so happy to see you upload it.
That class population graph gave me a flashback to year 1 of destiny when there was about 4-5 titans in existence. Became my main because bubble was so important and no one wanted to play titan
What are you talking about? It was hunters that were useless in pretty much all of year d1 pve. It even became a meme that hunters were only useful for going invisible and reviving teammates in prison of elders.
Bubble titans carried all of year 1
@@Klodhvigfacts everyone was using bubble titan and warlock could self res. Hunters didn’t even become usable until they got void lol
@@Klodhvig i personally didnt see a lot of titans until the dark below, i picked hunter first on launch then i saw nothing but hunters running around and switched
I will always be a titan main! 😎 other classes are sure fun but titan has been my main class since d1!
Cross started this video out with that infographic because he knows he is THE Titan main. As a Titan from D1 until Stasis, I can respect the sheer devotion.
we're a endangered species, but for some reason we keep getting nerfed the most lately.
You had your time in the spotlight the last 2 years. Hoil thunder nades, banner of war, one two punch shield bash,
Mostly because of crucible/trials crybabies, but it is what it is
@@rustyrolla5432 its called bungie is petrified of the almighty titans. they tried to nerf banner and one two punch and failed miserably. we will violate the devs with our overpoweredness.
Cause bungie doesn’t like the melee class doing melee things
@nappy6806 titan melee builds got nerfed prob cause it was moving to the other classes. Dumb asf we get nerfed just to share 😒.
Literally got this exact roll to drop while doing Overthrow after watching. Can never go wrong with having hella explosions
Endangered, true. Yet every time titans get *something* good. “Titans are so op. There so oppressive” 😂
I swear this happens every single time
It’s because titans entire identity is stuck being melee now, but melee builds are only endgame viable if they’re broken
nah dude that stat sheet @ beginning at video, aligns EXACTLY w how ive been feeling. titans got the end of the stick w this one.!!!
“I’d argue this is just as good as the hunter build.” The hunter build shows +2000% melee damage with infinite ability loop not needing transcendence, while titan needs transcendence, still doesn’t have an infinite ability loop with it, has less survivability, less CC, and on top of all of this a whopping +56% damage on consecration with this build.
Some of the hardest cope I’ve ever heard.
2000% melee damage with respect to a basic uncharged melee. What, do you want something in the game that hits like 20 Consecrations at once?
@@commentingchannel9776 Hunter punches literally hit more than consecrations right now. And hunter gets unlimited of them.
yeah but his argument was about the range.
@@kommanderkermit4874 and when the stars line up just right and you have a ton of soft adds near a boss thats not damage immune you are going to do insane damage from each of those adds dyeing from the consecration triggering explosions and lightning strikes.
loving the diversity on titan this expansion
I got consecration + knockout + stoicism AND consecration + knockout + synthos
try drengers lash + knockout + abeyant leap
You two just literally mentioned the two only possible titan combos in the game I hope y’all don’t get tired of those cause that’s basically it as far as prismatic titans go 😭
@@Wonderbrut you can also go crazy with consecration and diamond lance
@@kingkunta3753no hate by what’s the point in even running that when you could just use the same thing but have an infinitely better aspect like BoW or into the fray on strand
@@yaboibigsmoke2733Because in higher level content banner of war play still is a bit risky. You have to proc banner of war and keep it up for survivability which sometimes doesn't work when adds are mowing you down. What prismatic brings to the table is stability. With stoic and spirit of contact your charged melee does jolts which helps with add clear. Consecration is a easy win however shield throw with AOE damage and over shields is a great pairing. I have soooo many builds revolving titan that it's crazy when I see people think titans lack something. We're here just need to be creative other than just thinking banner of war titan is life.
Destiny community: from across the first 50 teams, only 3 players were titans! Bungie please do something
Bungie: we hear you loud and clear, next week we'll be deleting titans from the game
“We will also be deleting all accounts of those who have more than 10 hours of Titan playtime, as punishment. Per our data, this will not affect the player base in any significant way. Also, Luke Smith will personally send you a picture of his latest dinosaur size shit.”
I JUST got this to drop and it’s been one of my favorite rolls across all classes
i haven't played with one prismatic titan in salvation's edge. Strand sure, solar absolutely, prismatic titan 404
Got this exact roll and having a blast with it! Wasnt even considering this roll until it dropped for me, havnt taken it off since. ❤
@@RangerIVnooooo don’t do itttt it doesn’t need to be removed more like titan needs it back!
@@Vixenlive22 if thats the route bungie wants to go thats fine, but look at the other arc hunter melee for context. Its called “disorienting blow” which people may not know because nobody ever talks about it, or makes builds on it, or uses it. If combo blow is gonna get this “free” melee proc functionality, then bungie better be buffing the tits out of disorienting blow because it is in shambles by comparison. Also, knockout is an aspect so i could at least see that being ok for it to get this free proccing, but letting combination blow have that function as just a basic melee option with no other investment is outrageous haha
This is more of a “combination blow is way op” than a “leave knockout nerfed” comment haha
@@danielholmes4267they only changed assassin's cowl, not combination blow. Assassin's cowl doesn't work with combination blow either.
This was my first drop, been enjoying it a lot. I'm wanting an eternal warrior/star eater as well.
This changes nothing for why Titan wasn't present in the raid and is currently at the bottom of the class pool by a mile.
Finally had this roll today, had a run through duel destiny with a mate and realy enjoyed the potential of this combo especially with the Monte Carlo.
I literally just got this roll like 5 minutes ago. Booted up RUclips to check uploads and here this video is. I will DEF be doing this xD
I wish severe had sum light 3.0 synergy
Its kenetic damage though. Light 3.0 wouldn't effect it
@@ZhaloSupercell1 ik but it would be nice if it had sum effect like scorch or weaken
IT FINALLY DROPPED FOR ME …. Literal weeks of farming even with double drops and the loot chests in the pale heart.
"Use this combo". Ok ill just get lucky i guess
glad i am not the only one that saw the crazy potential of this roll.
Very solid build, kinda sucks that hunters are getting better melee build than us titans
hunters have no aoe on melee outside of calibans which requires a kill titan just requires a hit
Fr and bungee jump said that we are the melee class lol
Same as titans and warlocks being the better movement class than hunters
@@Kazuhira2249 strand melee ? Arc with doge melee ? Explosive knife melee? Snare bomb on void? Grapple melee ?
My buddy and I used to duo run GMs with triple shotguns and synthos… it’s definitely viable
Woven mail+invis has entered the chat
I've only run the exotic mission once so far and Severance + Contact is exactly the role I got! This video is fate.
Rocking a hoil and contact Mark. The melee is crazy with concentration
Sorry brother, this isn't a versatile build at all. Not everyone wants to use Montecarlo in their build, so this is gonna lack a lot of melee uptime. Knockout is not a good reliable source of healing and this build would've been 1000% times better if it could work with normal powered knockout melees.
Okay then don’t use it lmao
titans are slop rn
I just use inmost and contact, have no problem keeping melee charge up
I agree with everything except "Knockout is not a reliable source of healing."
I've been surrounded by adds and I just started punching to stay alive. You'd be surprised how effective it is. Anything short of a yellow bar and you'll be fine
Melee recharge rate is balls, good luck running this after you've blown your 3 charges
I knew this was gonna be a badass combo when i seen the list. Awesome to see this vid cause it proves that its hype!
bungie let us solo the exotic mission FFS
LFG
@@clashclips1330 you are right, i want to spend 4 hours looking for people that most of the time use 2 primaries and have 28 res, in the chance i get a good player...fun. no let us solo it like all other content in the game (excluding raids)
No. But you’re in luck with festival of the lost next week.
THE BUILD YOU WANT is SEVERANCE AND Synthoceps these are rookie numbers compared to what that does I don’t have the artifact mod at the end but each slam was doing 250k and each regular strand melee was at 100k with knockout active I have screenshots 😊
Nice!! Now I have a build to go melee the witness
Thanks for all the helpful content lately cross!
I've been feeling like titans got shafted. Good to see the numbers back it up. Maybe they'll undo some of the titan nerfs over the last year.
MY MAN!
I have been farming for this since yesterday. Hard when your a solo player. So far I have 3 total. Hoarfrost-horn, bear-synthoceps, and abeyant-syntboceps. Gotta test the bear synthoceps out but over all ok rolls.
got this roll my third go around, i’m loving this so far, might keep me on titan for a good bit this season
I got that combo yesterday and am excited to test it out !!!
This roll is crazy, I got one last weak and I was surprise how can this be a thing
Was super lucky and got this on my first run of the mission. Thought it would be meh, until I realized how liberal it was in applying the jolt and lightning.
EVERYTHING GETS IT like he said, so its like a thundercrash in its explosion.
This was the roll i was wanting as soon as I saw the possible perks
I literally just did dual destiny for the 1st time, started exotic farming & GOT THIS ROLL OUT OF THE PALE CHEST!
just got the class item with this combo, when I read it I knew it was going to be a banger.
Guess I'll have to watch everything. No DIM links whatsoever LOL
As a hunter main since D1 I felt myself gravitating towards titan for a while ever since stasis titan. Crazy how the dynamic has changed😅
I use this one for awhile but ended us switching back to synthasteps, just feels weak comparatively:(
Fellow Titan mains. Do not fret about being left out in this expansion. If we’ve learned anything over the years it’s that titans will always be the pinnacle of kicking ass on the battlefield. Get those exotic class item combos rolling. There’s hope for us yet ladies and gentleman. I promise. Never give up never surrender. Titans ARE THE BATTLEFIELD!
HOO RAH
Imma keep it real with you Cross, prismatic Titan feels alot like subclass 2.0.
Very little if any abilities feeding into one another, nothing that takes advantage of subclass verbs interacting, and sending a bunch of non-syngergetic things then waiting for cooldowns.
This was my first drop of an exotic class but I needed to keep going. Eternal warrior and scars is a lifesaver with endgame
As soon as I saw this combo I knew it was fire I’m glad cross found the roll
Still wish they would’ve given titans the exotic perk that refreshes melee charge on melee kill (the arc one I forget the name of) as a way to try and give “the melee class” as many melees as Hunter has
Facet of Balance gives you back a good amount of melee energy every time you wipe out a group of adds with it
@@kidbu916and all Hunter has to do is dodge. The problem with Prismatic Titan is getting your melee back when you don't have any, with a class so focused on melee abilities they did a terrible job of giving us the ability to get it back quickly. With a 2 1/2 minute cool down because frenzy blade need to be so long for no reason
I got this role the first day the mission came out and I’m in the discord just don’t talk and I will say THIS IS THE MOST FUN IVE EVER HAD
I had a bunch of fun with a Peregrine build during the legend campaign. It worked really well since you could freeze with a diamond lance then follow with the instant kill.
Peregrines dont stack with freeze unfortunately :( they have a specific clause not to
Been holding on to this roll for a while cause it seemed fun to play around with. Don’t always need a game breaking build to enjoy being a Titan.
I just got one while watching this, stoked!
Seeing videos about class exotic builds feels like the meme of squidward looking out of the window
Wait I JUST got this role from a world chest while I wanted synthos and in most light. You're saying I shouldn't sleep on this role?
Titan Gang! love the vid, thanks Aztecross.
Hey Cross I’ve unlocked the mission but haven’t run it yet… do I have to acquire the class item before solo farming in the pale heart?
Yes you do, just once and then you can farm.
@@kidbu916 thanks 👍
Dude I’m loving the new class items. I got lucky with an Innermost Light/ Armamentarium roll on my Titan and I love i with the consecration and stasis prismatic build.
This is the exact roll I saw and knew I had to have it.
I know this seems kinda meh, but i want to try and get a spirit of Galanor / Spirit of the star eater, if i can it that, i'll be happy.... wish that the exotic could of had all the legendary and exotic styles tho
I must've missed the post asking about this. This is the roll I got on my first and only roll so far 😅
No way this is like the first roll I got I’m glad I kept it!
I've been using inmost light and point contact. It's pretty nutty
Severance with synthoceps slaps
wait a second. at 5:35 cross says not to do the slam just because all the enemies are dead? Since when is he against blowing thy load?!
Oh my God, it’s another punching exotic
I’ve been rocking similar build but big differences was that I used shackle grenade along with my class item being in most light and syncho. With that combo I was getting upward to 470,000 damage off just one consecration
I just got this roll to drop 40 minutes after i finished the vid lol. Knew that point contact was gonna go hard!
Sees build. Sees frenzied blade and consecration. Feels sadness of boredom.
Ikr…😴
💯
Yep
Use another melee then
@@wingedtitan2628 oh use another shittier melee? you're gimping yourself if you're not using knockout/consecration...the best (and only) option
I've been using Abeyant + Contact and its so good at ad clear and ad control and getting the prismatic bars filled quickly.
Warlock and hunters still better
seem like a skill issue
Skill issue confirmed?
Post scriptum: Titano main PURO.
I knew this roll would be maximum dopamine, sadly nothing else really scratches my needs and wants from the class exotic
What do you run for you're 5th fragment?
i ended up getting a point contact with inmost light and holy shit its good
To be fair there were alot of Titans in the raid. Just that the Witness fight heavily favoured Hunters (Still Hunt Celestial will probably catch a nerf). Both Datto and Salt were Titans but were made to switch off to Hunter for the final boss
Well Cross, right here is where I'd put my Severance + Contact class item. IF I HAD ONE
Cross representing us out there during the race!
