Margaery Tyrell was such a masterpiece, a godess of beauty and intelligence, a pragmatic and diplomatic player who play smartly on the long run. But Stupid lucky cersei discovered some green fire under the Septuary, totaly normal when you know that it has been remooved in the book, with some spys to execute this easy plan and a invicible Mountain to protect her. Margaery was 100 times smarter than Cersei but she wasn't as brutal and unpredictable as Cersei, and she hadn't the unlikely support Cersei has. Besides Margaery never have been really defeated, Hight Sparrow's stupidity killed her.
Margery was absolutely more intelligent than Cersei. Unfortunately Cersei is the type of person who will go for the nuclear option no matter what the cost. It's hard to strategise when dealing with insanity. She could have probably sneaked out of of the sept if she hadn't alerted the High Sparrow but unfortunately for her (and us) she is not the kind of person who would leave all those people to die without attempting to get them out.
@@agpie9 yah, she's a loyal person and knew if she snuck away her brother Loras would die. She might've been able to get her father and some others out, they were all technically free to leave (a whisper in their ears would've done), but her brother had been branded and wasn't about to be allowed to go anywhere without permission. She wouldn't leave him behind... and sadly that loyalty to family and commitment to doing the right thing got her killed. Heck, even Ned Stark was repeatedly outplaying Cersei. He was smarter than her too. She makes tons of strategically bone headed decisions out of jealousy and anger. Problem is, she has incredible plot armor and always seems to have a Littlefinger, Qyburn, Tywin, Jaime or the like to bail her out. Frustrating... Margaery >>>> Cersei in the cunning department.
Love this tribute- I loved Margaery because she was a great player without needing to be cruel. She was a chameleon who could be whatever she needed to be to gain power in the game of thrones. If you guys are looking for some more funny videos to react to, Ozzy Man Reviews does great recaps/reviews of each episode. There probably isn't much for you to react to in the review section but the recap parts (which are the first 4 or 5 minutes of each video) are fucking hilarious. You should consider reacting to his season 7 trailer recap or some of the bigger episodes like The Rains of Castamere, Battle of The Bastards, or Winds of Winter (they're all hilarious!)
I'm still waiting for a reactor to notice that when she says 'We're going to be very happy together you and I' it immediately cuts to Cersei walking away from the sept of baelor as it blows up. I think that's the most powerful part of the entire video ahah.
So many people assume that she was fake, but there was never any proof that she wasn't a kind person. She tried to be exactly what each of her husbands needed her to be to the best of her ability. She was also deeply loyal to her family and a freaking team player. I always thought that the only character that would have been her perfect match would have been Tyrion Lannister. They were both kind, witty, cunning, and lusty people who could seriously get some stuff done if they had put their heads together.
Yeah I suppose by "fake" I just mean that she knew what worked for certain people. Like how she acted with Geoffrey after finding out (from Sansa) how cruel she was - holding the crossbow and giving him a tease with her reference to killing things. She knew how to manipulate very well, but yes, definitely did not do so for any evil kind of intentions, in my opinion as well. :-) That's what I mean when I say I disagree that her being "manipulative" is inherently bad. Because I also believe she was genuinely a kind person. She had high aspirations of wanting to be THE queen, but she wasn't just shitting all over everyone to get there. Just using her skills in a clever way. :-D
Honestly that would have been the best rulers Westeros could have known, Tyrion the King and Margaery the Queen, they are both politically smart but still kind. I totaly agree, Margaery is one of the only to find Tyrion attractive, they could have been happy together.
I loved Margery and Loras - Margery did everything to try and get Loras released when he was imprisoned. Watching the deleted scene of the two after Renly died is so touching. I loved their sibling relationship. At least they died holding each other.
I love Margaery so much in both the show and the books (even though they get completely different coverage). Kind of disappointed by her death and I am praying for her survival in the upcoming book. I really hope Olenna gets her revenge, but I don't have faith in the screenwriters to realise that the Tyrell army should be unstoppable at this point.
She was totally The Queen for a short time but quality prevail on quantity. She will be remembered like an incredible queen for an eternity when Cersei will be remembered like a pathetic, made and hatefull queen, her name will be despised forever, Margaery won for an eternity.
