Took off my front bumper to try and find the build sheet hidden in the front crossmember. Opened it up to see shredded pieces of paper and an oddly well preserved skeleton of what I assume to be a mouse...
you're damn lucky to not have smelled dead mouse (or had chewed wiring), because i had an infestation that made its way into one of my vehicles, and the smell was the worst thing ever. worse than the worst thing ever.
@@toddinthemiddle that sounds horrible. Luckily I was buying the car from previous owners close to two years ago, and that was only months later I found that. Not a forsenic analyst but I'm positive that all happened many years ago well before I bought the car.
Since you asked. Turn off cruise control is a safety feature in case you need emergency maneuvering around an obstacle. Something like another driver turning your way or deer etc
20: passive entry system: I loved that shake the car feature, what’s cooler than being able to get your key back when you locked it in the car. Unfortunately the passive system has some parasitic current draining your battery, if you leave the key within reach of the car. I guess I never noticed until my room was right next to the car outside. So I got a key without it.
@Heero yuy Hey ass wipe I do own a 1 of 2 ever made in my color combination. I have the build sheet window sticker and certificate from the Corvette museum. Think before you talk or stay in your lane..
This is very cool. All these bullet points that are apt to blow you're mind all wrapped in one tidy package. I totally dig those Corvettes.the things presented here are very considerate features GM came up with. Corvettes and Cadillacs. They kind of go hand in hand.
*REAL TIPS* - The windshield leaks on FRCs/z06 and will wet your bcm/pcm if you're ever stuck in a car wash like I was 😂. Just spray it off with crc electrical parts cleaner and air and hope it isn't shorted(I keyed on and off a few times before I realized I might have a leak, and found water coming down into passenger footwell). Also, I had the dealer steering lockout fixed but it still broke and had to buy some resistor from some random dude online. Oil pressure sensor dies around 60k. Do pushrods if you're not going to mod it since they WILL bend(7.4 stock height even for most cam/heads). If you're going to do a cam, do upgraded trunion rockers(PRC, no need for roller tip). I blew up the stock ones and had to count every bearing while maneurvering them via magnetism through/out the oil pan...Just do pushrods and rockers anyway really.
On locking the seat belt into place it works on the passenger side but not the driver side, what's the fix, cannot find, thanks for the cool tips, just got my 2003 Z06 three weeks ago
FYI, every car has those trunk vents, all cars have vents in the trunk like that, all cars display the manufacturers recommended tire pressure on the inside of the driver door, all gm cars from that era reset the oil life with three gas pedal pumps (ignition on, car not running), mirrors on most any car can rotate like that. Still, cool to see some of the other quirks of the Corvette
