Like the comics, the game sends Hellboy on a series of vastly different and wholly unique adventures. When an agent of the B.P.R.D. is sent on a reconnaissance mission to the mansion and promptly goes missing. It’s up to you - Hellboy - and your team of Bureau agents to find your missing colleague and uncover the secrets of The Butterfly House.

Looks like the Hellboy game that has been needed by fans for so long now. The fact that it’s a collaboration project that follows the source material’s art and narrative is exciting. It’s been decades between Asylum Seeker & Science of Evil but now Web of Wyrd just exudes aesthetic superiority by comparison imo so here’s to hoping the gameplay is tight and tuned lol Definitely picking up the Switch version. Just need a release date already

This looks absolutely bonkers, like the comic come to life. I'm hype (although a bit concerned about the "roguelite" bit).
Roguelite=level progression while retaining certain upgrades after death
Roguelike=permadeath/level restart while not retaining upgrades

Yeah, I have to agree. Personally I would have expected/enjoyed a dmc or zelda esc upgrade system for a new Hellboy title specifically but hopefully it’ll work out fine
Idk how it could be a roguelite without it being Hellboy in Hell. Granted i dont know a lot about the universe to begin with but as i understand it, hell is largely a gigantic victorian city encompassed by woodland that leads to the abyss so maybe the game is Hellboy trying to escape hell in some way. Idk, just trying to make sense of how its gonna work as a roguelite

Lance Reddick as Hellboy? YES!
Yeah, I love him as HB and he sounds pretty cool. But don't let that distract you from the fact that whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
That's right a black man is voicing an Iconic superhero
This looks awesome! I love stylized video games and Mike Mignola's style is so easily recognizable with it's Gothic deep shadow work.

You guys really nailed the art style(hats off) but animations looks stiff, they make it looks kinda cheap overall.
I think it’s great for a subject to transcend its origins. Hell it’s first two fils really are my faves. I made it through the 3 rd 20 min and it wasn’t good for me. It didn’t have to be . They tried and failed it’s ok.
But this game holy cow batman. This could amazing. I hope it’s fun and huge.

The best PS2 game I've ever seen. Seriously, great art but the engine and graphics needs a complete makeover. Please improve it a lot before release, the game seems to have a great potential.

@@theadhi3216 This looks like a student project. Nothing here give me hope that this will be anything more than a pretty Shovelware title with the Hellboy name attached to it. The animation right now looks uninteresting. The presentation of what they are showing here is simply underwhelming and lacking. And the little slice of combat doesn't leave a lot to be desired. Etc. Lets just say I would've not singed off on this thing if I wanted to start on the right foot.
I've been around the game industry enough to know that if they can't even fake it in these Reveal Trailers, then it's worst than we think.
Still, I like Hellboy, so who knows? They might prove me wrong, and I really hope they do. No hate intended.
Perhaps it helps to know that Dark Horse is our partner in this project and it's blessed by Mike Mignola who designed the keyart. So we disagree ;) Shame you don't like the comic style come to life. Hopefully you'll let us know what you think at launch.

@@GoodShepherdEntertainment I should've specified that the part of the graphics I like IS the Mike Mignola style. Of course. And I'm glad the team went with it instead of an ultra realistic style. Is the rest of the presentation that, well, lets just say gives me pause.
