Update! I have since recieved a copy of the PC game, the version I played before was a demo from My Abandon Ware and the voice acting in the physical copy I recieved of the PC game is the same as the PS1 game.
I haven’t seem them, when it comes to Hellboy it’s the comics I’m the most interested in. I wasn’t a big fan of the movies’ more comedic tone and the characters acted very differently. But I’m glad you enjoy them! I’ll probably give the animated films a chance someday
Also, according to Wikipedia, "Science of Evil" was actually going to receive additional content in the form of dlc. Aside from likely continuing, and resolving, the story, it was also going to feature a new playable character voiced by none other than Bruce Campbell.

From the gameplay we got this far, I hope (with cautious optimism) that the new HELLBOY game will be good. It may not take much to be better than the dumpster fire games already made. Can’t wait for WEB OF WYRD.
ya know with asylum seeker there could be potential in it, with the style of the new game it could give some beautiful cinematic shots like you playing the comic
What kind of pc port of Hellboy Dogs Of The Night did you played? At the copy I played, voice acting was the same as psx version and lighting was not bad (except for that dark crypt where you light that torch)
I played the one off my abandonware, which I recently realized was a demo build, so it’s possible that was temporary voice acting, which is something I have never seen before
With there being very little good representation of Hellboy outside of the comics, it sometimes stinks being a Hellboy fan so I hope Web of WYRD is good. I liked what you said about how Beat em' Up combat should play, I never saw Hellboy as a combo kind of fighter like Dante, so he should at least feel punchy and weighty which I think would be appropiate for the character.
It'll probably never happen but I'd love to see Hellboy be a playable character in Marvel's Midnight Suns through dlc that would be awesome for me personally

I'm glad last week's Hellboy web of wyrd announcement is getting more people to talk about Hellboy I'm a big fan of Marvel and DC and men in black, kick ass, Kingsman etc but I also love the first 2 Hellboy movies I hope Hellboy 3 happens in the future I also like the 2019 Hellboy film
Bad news: Second film didn't make enough money to the studio and they decided to cancel the upcoming third film. But maybe, just maybe they can be a little chance.
On the contrary science of evil is among my favourite ps3 games along with darksiders 1 god of war as far as beat them up are doncerned. They should have made the game longer and instead of a rogue-like an open-world. . Also I am flabbergasted to hear that you preferred the psp version, a version that I utterly dislike.
To be fair I only played the PSP one a little bit. I really wasn’t a fan of either of them. I genuinely think it’s a stiff, slightly jank and boring game to play. I’m happy you enjoyed it though, I know some people liked it.
