    Happy Winter 😁👍 As a winter person...a tip or 2 for others who aren't. Have can food supplies, hearty soups too! Candles and battery back up and firewood. Stay home and plan for hunkering down

    Note to jeepster: when it’s plowed in that deep, use the winch; spinning those chains loose can get real expensive & insurance won’t cover the damages.
    Hopefully all that water makes it way down to the lake

      With lots of Salt, it’s a wet snow, the salt will melt r down to the pavement, but you don’t need to go out in that type of weather, shop ahead and ride it out!

    I spend a lot of time in those mountains but with these storms I’ve stayed home. It’s not worth getting stuck and creating problems for other people. I’m hoping the mountain residents can get deliveries of food and gasoline. They are running out of both.

      We stayed home and let the rednecks with f150s and jeeps get frostbite. Our electric car powered our appliances in the brief power outage. Safe and warm at home :) how’s the tornado over there in Christian country?

      Probably no better than most 4 or even 6 cylinder gas cars that aren’t awd.
      I saw all sorts of cars pulled over or sliding around. SUV’s, trucks…I saw an F-150 in a ditch.
      The ONLY people that made it through had 4WD and snow tires.

      They've been warning us. I'm at 2k ft and we only got about 1/2 in but I prepared in case and got supplies. I also didn't leave my house until roads were cleared. These people put themselves and rescuers lives in danger. I grew up in the snow so I know, snow storm is coming, you go to the store and stock up. Stores shelves would be empty by the time the storm hit. We have another storm on the way, and they warned of it too.

      Ummm…Wrightwood typically averages just under 6 inches of snow for the entire month of February.
      They just got 40 inches in two days.

      The footage of the blizzard was taken in the Wrightwood area, however, some areas around Crestline, Rim of the World, and parts of Arrowhead did see blizzard conditions for a while during late night hours.

    the ironic thing about all these people being stranded is that had they just waited until the storms subsided all the snow would have still been their for skiing, snowboarding, etc., etc. Time for people to use common sense: Californians do not understand the impact nature can have.

    This is totally crazy. I have never seen anything like this in California. I don’t live there, but my sister does and I have never seen snow in California other than northern California in the mountains but this is totally ridiculous and everybody better wake up things are happening global warming is happening and then you have snow in California, I don’t know if the government can make it snow but I know they can make it rain there’s some kind of shift going on on our planet just like I’ve noticed the moon lightly where all my life it’s always come up behind my house and here the last few months it’s been coming up in front of my house it’s does make sense? and I’m not the only one that has noticed this there is something major going on everyone needs to start paying attention

      The jet streams are totally out-of-whack because the Earth is going into a Pole Shift. Hence, the same kind of strange behavior of our Sun and all other planets in our solar system.
