This album might never have been recorded had it not been for the courage of Hefina Orwig Evans who, after hearing Aled singing with the Bangor Cathedral Choir, took it upon herself to write to Sain Records, so that Aled’s voice could be recorded before it broke. Fortunately, the gramophone record means that Aled’s voice will be with us forever and this album will take its place in history alongside that of Ernest Lough”
