  • The RMC T-Rex model may never be built by a theme park anywhere in the world!
    RMC announced their T-Rex a few years ago now, as a larger version of their single rail raptor coasters. The RMC T-Rex quickly gained lots of popularity within the theme park industry due to the fact that RMC stated this coaster model had the ability to reach heights of over 500ft, meaning this could have been the coaster to break all records in the roller coaster world! This quickly led to much speculation and theories amongst enthusiasts of when the first RMC T-Rex would open and what park would get the first T-Rex! That begs the questions - Will An RMC T-Rex EVER Be Built? Which Park Will BUY One?

    I think your instincts are right. It would be great to see a park like Fuji-Q build one since they definitely have the audacity to do it. Right now, I am thinking that RMC doesn't fully have the tech in place to build one. We are seeing some of the Raptor models have a few hiccups with age so I can only imagine what those would be like on the larger version. In America I could see a park like Cedar Point getting one, but the question would be about where it would go. Magic Mountain would have the gumption if budgets were friendly, but again, where does it get placed? Busch Gardens, Williamsburg could get one in the Drachen Fire plot. Dollywood certainly also isn't afraid to spend money and having a T-Rex as a terrain coaster there would be incredible. As far as Energylandia goes, I don't know how much land they own so I don't have any kind of realistic vision of how they can expand the park in the future. Quiddiya can basically do whatever they want as long as the desert ground is geologically sound enough.

      Yeah Fuji q is definitely an option because they love crazy coasters, I think their or somewhere else in the Middle East is the most realistic possibility. I’d love to see one built so badly though, a 500ft coaster would be so amazing!

      @@rollercoasterheaven2170 yeah I imagine a coaster that tall will cost so much money to build that I’m not sure even the mega parks would actually be able to afford one. I think if another ‘coaster wars’ starts and parks start trying to break all the records again that we could maybe see one built but only in that case would I see somewhere like cedar point getting one

      @@CoasternautYT Cost is a huge part of my point when I say that Magic Mountain's key to breaking a height record is in Superman the Escape. It's currently existing, reliable infrastructure to build upon, and it's on top of the mountain. The height is 413 feet, so slightly more than 50 feet shy of Kingda Ka. 87 feet up gives 500 feet in height. 87 is much cheaper than 500 from scratch. There is also an old computer design floating around that shows Superman converted into a full circuit coaster and it's insane. I am hoping against hope that 2028 is going to give the world something truly epic at SFMM for the Olympics. And by then we should know how successful or not Falcon's Flight is as well.

      @@psychopompinc.646 yeah I can see your point here, it wouldn’t surprise me if they built up on this structure one day if another ‘coaster wars’ was to start - it would be an easy way for them to break another record

    I think if one were to be built, it would be at one of the large private parks like Silver dollar city, Dollywood or Hershey Park in the US and Energylandia and maybe the six flags in the Middle East

    Would the t-Rex coasters not feel as fast or as whippy as the original raptor prototypes. Like how Jersey devil feels slower than railblazer or WonderWoman (golden lasso)

    • @CoasternautYT
      @CoasternautYT  9 месяцев назад +1

      I’m honestly not too sure I think it depends on the layout. The wider track and two across searing would make me think no but if it really can be 500ft tall then I’m sure it would feel very insane and intense because it would be so fast no matter what the layout was

    • @Ubercentraltf2
      @Ubercentraltf2 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@CoasternautYT definitely. Personally I think they would be insane coasters no matter what. But I feel they may be different than raptors. But that doesn’t make them bad. For instance, if they lose the feeling of a single rail coaster, they would at worst still be like fury325. (One of the best coasters on earth). And fury is only 325 feet. Imagine 400 or 500. And the single rail will still help the ride.

    • @CoasternautYT
      @CoasternautYT  9 месяцев назад +3

      Yeah I think it’s going to become harder for parks to build the more expensive coaster models, hence why companies like B&M are starting to offer cheaper models like the surf coaster and new family model coming to sea world Orlando. I think rmc will try to sell more raptors

    A coaster manufacturer will build what parks are willing to pay for. That's the answer to why there are no Trex coasters.

    • @CoasternautYT
      @CoasternautYT  8 месяцев назад +1

      Agreed, I think a coaster of that size is just far too much money for the parks to justify at the moment

  • @askjeevescosby2928
    @askjeevescosby2928 9 месяцев назад +1

    Probably not. No park will want to buy rmc single rail coasters after seeing the mechanical nightmares rail blazer and wonderwoman are. And if the newer models like jersey devel end up being mechanical problems also it will kill the single rail coaster model. The single rail coasters are always rough even though they shouldn't be. Remember harley quin and tidal twister both used rmc single rail track and both were also very rough.

    • @CoasternautYT
      @CoasternautYT  9 месяцев назад

      Yeah I have heard that they all seem to have lots of reliability problems but hopefully this is something RMC can sort out with the newer installations because I love the single rail concept and if these coasters can reach 500ft tall, then I can see a mega park or a park in the Middle East buying one eventually to break records
