@@GarrettEulett There was a short-lived Asia-themed Busch Gardens in Houston in the early 1970s, though it wasn't much of an amusement park with rides, more of a literal garden (with a zoological exhibit, strangely of polar animals).
I’ve ridden ride to happiness less than 2 weeks ago and my god, the ending was way better than I expected It is easily my favourite coaster ever and it’s really intense
So I have ridden Black Mamba, Ride to Happiness, Kärnan, Fly, Koonda and Zadra - and they all fantastic Coasters. I would say Ride to Happiness is my over all number 1, follwed by Zadra as my number 2. Koonda still a top 10 Coaster but hard to rank ( because I usually don't rank ) . Black Mamba is clearly the best themed ride with a nice and forceful layout and good pacing. Koonda is a total Fun Machin and Zadra has ridiculous Pacing, forces, Airtime... Only topped by Ride to happiness - the first time a ride was too forcful. (After riding 3 times in a row) This thing is just insane. Brutal Airtime, powerful launches, ridiculous Hangtime... Everything. Kärnan is an absolute fun Machin but I prefere Flucht von Novgorod when vissiting Hansa Park.. and Fly? Yeah great theming, great launch, Airtime but it feels weird with this lying position 😅
Pleasantly surprised by Cú Chulainn being your pick for Gravity Group! I know it's nothing special but I love it as it was our first major coaster on the island. Hopefully the Vekoma STC will finally open there next year and we'll have another big draw
I think you should do a list of coasters that would be on most people's bucket lists that are in danger of closing. A list of awesome coasters that might close soon.
Whoa, I didn’t see the Star Flyer pick coming. Nice! I rode Wild Train in the front row first and thought the stories I’d heard were exaggerated. Then I rode it in the back row - holy moly, that little coaster is pure madness.
Lol if only. IRL he's literally almost the only one who can afford to go there lol his direct employees and their families maybe, but no one else. If he used it to torture his enemies, at least someone would be using it! 😂
Always good to have a "bucket list" I've ticked off few on mine. I want to see many parks across the 'pond'. Plus some well known landmarks like lunch on the Eiffel Tower. Orient Express was one of them. What a lovely color + name for a coaster.
Swamp fox was the roughest coaster I’ve ever ridden in 2022 (it has since been retracked) But it was clear it hasn’t gotten track work since like the 90s possibly as evident by the old green rail paint visible from the now blue paint peeling away.
Great picks overall. 😉 I've ridden quite a few of these (original Dodonpa, Fujuyama, Dawson Duel, Ride to happiness, FLY, Kondaa, Wood Coaster, Steel Dragon 2000, Tonerre 2 Zeus, Lisebergbanan). You will thoroughly enjoy Lisebergbanan, great fun family coaster and 3rd best coaster at this awesome park. Concerning the Japanese coasters, Dodonpa does try to rip your face off at launch. I rode rhe OG version with the top hat and besides extreme airtime at the top, it did give a whiplash at the bottom of the top hat. Still a solid ride though. Fujuyama was by far the superior coaster over SD 2000. Better pacing and layout. Wood Coaster is easily accessible from Shenzhen, so if you're there, hop on the bus which drops you off at the entrance gate of the resort. For the Belgian coasters: Ride to happiness is a very good one and I like it better than Kondaa because it gives you a different ride every time. So if Kondaa might be a top 10 for you, Ride to happiness will certainly will be. Unless you prefer airtime over launches and inversions. If you're at the park, be sure to ride Kondaa in the afternoon and the back left seat. Goes much faster when it's warmed up. Dawson Duel, I wouldn't expect much. It's a gimmick for sure, but I think they have build far better products. Bellewaerde does have a unique topple tower, if you're into flat rides. FLY is amazing, as is Phantasialand itself. Top 3 park in Europe. If you can, stay at the Charles Lindbergh hotel. Expensive, but worth it. And last but not least T2Z. Rode it 2 weeks ago and man, did they do an amazing job with the retrack. Way better coaster than before. Went from a 'meh' to 'wow' 😮. Especially that backwards car is simply nuts. It's also less shakey than the forward facing cars. Hopefully you get the chance to ride some of these. The European coasters should be doable in 1 trip if you start in France or Poland.
With respect to Steel Dragon 2000, I will say that the final few airtime hills are pretty good. Not quite as intense as Magnum's, but not entirely dissimilar, and with the B&M Clamshell I'd argue they're actually more comfortable and fun (although for some unfathomable reason the park put shin guards on the B&M Clamshells).
Swamp Fox might just be the scariest coaster I’ve ever been on - ridiculous standing airtime the whole ride, so rough that it’s hard to tell what’s airtime and what’s just bumpiness but I love it nevertheless! Back row is so insane but a bit too much - front row us the perfect combo of intensity and comfort
I haven't actually ridden that many coasters so I have a lot of bucket-list rides. The only RMC I've ever ridden is Wicked Cyclone, and it gobsmacked me, so naturally all the world's other RMCs are at the top, but there's something special about how Hakugei looks that makes me crave that one the most. Aside from that: There are a lot of somewhat older rides people rave about that I've been curious about since forever. Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping, Alpengeist, Phoenix. I almost want to ride those more than a lot of the newer ones.
Oh, yeah, and I really want to ride Knoebels' Twister sometime just because Mr. Twister was my first big coaster and terrified the living bejesus out of me.
Expedition Geforce is 100% the worlds most overrated coaster. It's got good airtime, nothing to rave about though. The back row is rough/jolty as anything and its not really that forcefull (considering it has 'Geforce' in its name.) There are far better Coasters in Germany, also from Intamin. It's a good ride but nothing compared to what people make it out to be and it's a real big disappointment
@@rideexpedition I'd probably have to apply some historical context--the thing was sort of a sister ride to Superman at SFNE, right? (Though smaller.) Superman's one of my personal favorite rides but the technology has moved on.
@@MattMcIrvin yh that's fair. Obviously everyone thoughts and opinions on coasters are all different. For me it was a big let down but I can see how people would like it 🙏
I thought about this a few days back. Some of these picks were tough for me, but I went this this: Arrow Dynamics: Loch Ness Monster B&M: Fury 325 Chance Rides: Lightning Run CCI: Shivering Timbers Dinn: Thunder Run E&F Miler: Prairie Screamer Gertslauer: Der Schwur des Kärnan Gravity Group: The Voyage GCI: Wodan Timbur Coaster Hopkins: Texas Tornado Intamin: Intimidator 305 Jinma Rides: Any of their tilt coasters Mack Rides: DC Rivals Hypercoaster Maurer Rides: Abismo Morgan: Phantom’s Revenge PTC: Phoenix Premier Rides: Ice Breaker RMC: Wildfire S&S Sansei: Do-Dodonpa Schwarzkopf: Olympia Looping Togo: Bandit Vekoma: F.L.Y. Zamperla: Thunderbolt Zierer: Verbolten
*sigh* I was going to ride Abismo when I visited Madrid a few years ago, but there was a historic, deadly heat wave going on and being outdoors for any length of time would have been a difficult proposition. Loch Ness Monster was my first looper ever, and I loved it, but it's been so long, I don't know if it holds up. Going back and riding it again is kind of a bucket-list thing for me, along with most of the other coasters at BGW that went up after the last time I was there.
Great topic! Pretty good list!! I noticed you mentioned “if it’s not even a good ride” about Black Mamba. Yes, the setting is damn cool, BUT… the last 3rd of the ride is B&M (Boring and Mundane)! For Magnus Colossus - it has some incredible views, one of the best that I have ever seen! Death IS a viable option. Hint - take the Advil BEFORE riding!! As for Togo coasters - in the USA, they were all pretty much trash. But, in Japan, they are all pretty good, and Fujiyama is no exception. (And YES, Dodonpa (now Do-dodonpa) feels like your taking a sledgehammer to the chest - but it is so worth it!!
One of my bucket list coasters is Jetline at Gröna Lund (Sweden): its compact and forceful layout combined with a smooth ride reminds of Schwarzkopf Classics - what is not to love? 😊
I really like Dragon Mountain. I got maybe 15 rides on it over two separate family trips to Niagara. It's genuinely the only reason to visit Marineland. There was hardly anyone in line either time I went. Shame they never finished the theming to the degree they wanted.
You've gotta make it to Phantasialand...Black Mamba is GREAT! When I went they were still building F.L.Y. so unfortunately I didn't ride that one but Taron is obviously awesome. Even the smaller ones like Colorado Adventure were solid.
Black Mamba is incredibly smooth in comparison to these old Vekoma SLCs, for my taste it could be a bit longer though, but it is nonetheless a great ride. Taron and F.L.Y. are both smooth, fast and long. Colorado Adventure is a little too shaky in that dark part. Flucht von Novgorod, Schwur des Kärnan and even good old Nessie are great rides. Colossos is still the best coaster at Heide-Park 26 years after it first opened.
From someone who’s ridden Star Flyer, it’s honestly really good, it’s intense and surprisingly smooth and comfortable. It also has some unexpected hangtime at the top of the roll over in between two moments that pull upwards of 4gs. I highly recommend it.
South Carolinian here! Swamp Fox is the only one of these I have gotten the chance to ride, and though it was some odd years ago, I do remember the airtime not being something to sneeze at. Not one of my tops by any means, but it’s not a boring ride, for sure. It doesn’t stand out in my brain as being particularly rough, either, but it’s been a number of years, so I can’t speak for it now.
For me Intamin: Hyperion B&M: Shambhala RMC: Wildfire (Kolmarden) Vekoma: F.L.Y S&S: Eejanaika (what else would it be from S&S). Hopefully, Do-Dodonpa reopens. Premier: West Coast Racers Mack: Ride to Happiness Gerstlauer: Oath of Karnan GCI: Mystic Timbers Gravity Group: The Voyage Morgan: Steel Dragon 2000 CCI: Legend and Tonnerre deus Zeus Maurer: Honestly I don’t know, nothing really screams “bucket list. Hope y’all can give me some recommendations. PTC: Phoenix Dinn: None RCCA: axe them all or RMC them. Togo: Fujiyama Arrow Dynamics: Dragon Mountain In house coasters: The Beast
I've ridden 3 of the ones on your list, The Beast, Voyage and Mystic Timbers. The Beast: it was rough but the experience and journey honestly justifies it. Also the night ride is EPIC. Voyage: It's long but it can get a bit rough. I believe it got smoothed out though. Still an epic ride. Mystic Timbers: An absolute sleeper hit for Kings Island. I absolutely love it.
I agree with the below Nemesis isnt really a forces ride but its so low down and the turns are tight you think you can be dunked into the caverns is the big thing from it. Im lucky enough to have done anaconda and yeah its a weird but fun one. As I said I wish that Giovanola had survived because Anaconda clones instead of the SLS would have been far better for all our health.
Swamp Fox is probably my rarest credit. I rode it in 2017 and the airtime is insane. My back actually hurt from the airtime of the first drop in the back row. I’m gonna try to get back on it this year to see how it compares to my 2017 rides. But from my 2017 rides, it was absolutely amazing.
I live in Garden City (which is a couple beaches down from Myrtle) people go to grand strand medical all the time with injuries (usually back or neck related) from swamp fox
As an untravelled west-european, I have to say you have probably not only picked the best of each manufacturer but also the best our region has to offer. Black mamba aged like fine wine. Fly is good but the main thing that lifts it above even more is the setting and attention to detail that Phantasialand is known for and of course the novelty of a launched flying coaster. Konda is just awesome and how a family oriented park built something like Ride to happiness still blows my mind. haven't ridden Dawson Duel yet but for what I've ridden from Wiegand I prefer their water slides over anything else they offer
Dragon Mountain is honestly one of the best arrow experiences I’ve ever had. Also, maybe the weirdest experience I’ve ever had walking through a queue because it was literally pitch black in there 😅
Ah, another reminder of my sadness regarding Do-Dodonpa. Fujiyama has straight-up violent forces. It was really fun, though it threw me around more than I had been expecting. As a bonus, it has a drawn-out turnaround with great views of Mt. Fuji! Hakugei and Steel Dragon are on my list for this year! I’m planning to get down to Nagashima in the next month or so and will let you know how it goes.
Here’s my top bucket list coaster for each manufacturer. Arrow - X2 B&M - Fury: 325 CCI - Ghostrider Chance Rides - Lightning Run Dinn Corp. - Timber Wolf GCI - Wood Coaster Gerstlauer - Schwur des Karnan Giovanola - Anaconda Gravity Group - The Voyage Hopkins - Desert Storm Intamin - Taron Jinma - Battle of Jungle King Mack - Ride to Happiness Maurer - Abismo Morgan - Phantom’s Revenge Pax - Wild Train Pinfari - Star Flyer Premier Rides - Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast PTC - Phoenix (I’ve ridden it but it’s been over a decade and I barely remember it so I need a re-ride) RMC - Iron Gwazi RCCA - Magnus Colossus S&S - Eejanaika SBF - Migfer Schwarzkopf - American Drier Looping Skyline - New Jr. Coasters Togo - Fujiyama Vekoma - Fly Wiegand - Any alpine coaster Zamperla - Thunderbolt Zierer - Wicked
Orient Express was such a fun coaster in the early 80’s before it got rough. Biggest coaster in the park back then! ❤ Also, EXT was a bit awkward but exciting to be one of the few that rode it!
For Weigand you should have the Wisp Resort alpine coaster in Maryland on your list. That thing is CRAZY! It has no speed limit like a lot of alpine coasters do, and it has strong enough airtime and laterals that you might question if that seat belt will hold, so it can get pretty crazy. Easily the world's best alpine coaster and it isn't even close.
Thank you for including cú chulainn going to Emerald park on Saturday I'm excited to get back on cú Chulainn I hope you get to go to Emerald park one day
I've been on swamp fox tons of times and it is fantastic, some of the hills going into them give surprising airtime and the bunny hills are super fun. Also looking out at the beach is fantastic
I was so shocked to see epiq coaster here as someone who lives in Qatar! It's amazing, highly recommend trying both the front and back row. You can easily reride it because the park has basically no visitors all the time. I also recommend the magma blast and robomania, those rides are insane!
I've been on three on your lists. I feel like Steel Dragon gets way more hate than it should. I've been on over 550 different coasters and it's enjoyable enough for me I have it in my top 10. If you like tall and fast, you'll like it. Dodonpa was excellent. A true one trick pony, but it was one heck of a trick. I got to ride it while it still had the top hat. It wasn't uncomfortable to me in the slightest and certainly not painful. It's intense, no doubt. Most intense sensation I've ever felt on a coaster. Finally, Fujiyama, it did nothing to improve my view on Togo coasters. It's just uncomfortable. I was optimistic before it, but it's a completely forgettable experience for what it is, especially in a park that features Eejenaika, Takabisha, and Dodonpa, which are all vastly superior.
Wild Train has the most aggressive airtime i've ever expierienced. Its crazy cause it's considered a family coaster. Black Mamba is nothing crazy tbh, was really disappointed when i rode it. But the theming is great. FLY is amazing. It has the best theming i've ever seen and the ride experience is awesome. Zadra is my #1 coaster, the pacing is crazy.
Great list, but as someone who has ridden Dawson Duel, I would highly recommend to kick it off your Wiegand Bucket List and replace it by Trapper Slider at Fort Fun in Germany. Reason being that setting aside, Dawson Duel is just a boring ride, while Trapper Slider is borderline a genuine Thrill ride with a fast layout, quick drops and double down every chance it get´s, has a sextuple down (aka 6 mini drops in a row) that makes it hard to keep your legs in the cart and all that in a dense hillside forest. As a Bonus, it has one of the most bonkers night rides out there, during their really good Halloween Event you can experience Trapper Slider in Pitch Black darkness, and riding a Alpine Coaster with so many quick drops that you can´t see coming is youst insane. As for Jinma, I would probably want to try one of their Dive Coasters the most, I imagine the first drop in the 4th row is probably somewhat insane in on them.
This video gave me a similar topic idea, but what about something like #1 bucket list from "every" country (or at least just pick countries with a large or good selection of coasters). Not sure if this would be too repetitive or redundant, but seems like could be a video idea.
I have all but: Wood Coaster (retracking when we visited Knight Valley), Anaconda, only got one side of Battle of Jungle King, Wild Train, Star Flyer (closed when we went to Star City), Epic Coaster, Zadra, FLY, and Desmo Race. Also, don’t have Wonderland Eurasia because that park wasn’t open for long, never been to North Korea and we didn’t want to wait online for an alpine coaster at Bellewaerde on a crowded day.
Like you said, people who ride ride say its better than it seems.. Im here to confirm that that is 100% correct. I wasnt expecting it to beat Taron or Zadra but its actually whole other league above.. Pure perfection from both Vekoma, Phantasialand & Universal Rocks (the theming company) 👏👌
I went to Nagashima spa land a few days ago to ride SD2K. It was closed due to high winds :( rode Hakugei, though, which was maybe as good as steel vengeance. Takabisha and Eejanaika at FujiQ were both insanely good too. Sadly, dodonpa was closed as well!! Fujiyama was fine. It threw you around a bit in an uncomfortable way and the drops were mediocre with not much airtime
Black Mamba is my favorite invert! Been on most of the major US ones and would still choose this - I think it’s underrated despite the rave reviews as is
Going to Parc Astérix today, can't wait to see how Tonnerre 2 Zeus rides! I've ridden it a hundred times before its refurbishment and it was my second favorite at the park then so I'm excited! Also the backwards car is free to ride now, no more fee ;)
@@AirtimeThrills It is still pretty rough indeed, even more so in the back, sadly. The parts that GG retracked are a lot smoother though, but still pretty shaky overall. I came out having had fun but my back kinda hurt . Also there's surprisingly no specific line for the back row, in the station the operators just ask people whether or not they want to tride backwards and place them there. It's not that popular with the GP weirdly enough, I've seen it run with no one in the back car many times! Toutatis is the real scene stealer at the park now
Dude Swamp Fox is a must-ride. Its so good after the retrack done by Skyline Attractions. Most insane airtime I've ever felt and it's my #10 overall and #1 woodie
Ride to Happiness??? Top 20??? haha! It's number one Chris, because every cycle is different ;-) Kondaa is also great, but so are all other mega coasters, like Goliath at Walibi Holland, Expedition G-Force at Holiday Park and of course Hyperion (which is actually a hyper coaster) at Energylandia! You are underestimating Untamed at Walibi Holland! Walibi Holland also has Lost Gravity, a Big Dipper from Mack, which I like very much, but it's short... Greetings from the Netherlands!
I missed Dragon Mountain by only a couple inches. We traveled up to Canada in ‘83 and hit up Niagara Falls, Clifton Hill and Marineland. I was the most excited to ride but when I was measured at the ride’s entrance, I was too short. Perhaps a little karma back at me as I got my first ride on The Runaway Train on my toes. My mom panicked before the train was dispatched, pulling both my sister and my dad with her. Only my grandfather would ride. The next year I got on both Rolling Thunder and Big Thunder Mountain the honest away, but I never braved up to Lightnin’ Loops. It would take until ‘91 when I would get on Lockness Monster.
Desperado is still up there for me, but it's not looking good for the rides at Buffalo Bill's. I stopped by there on my trip to the west coast last month, and both Desperado and the log ride have signs on the control panels saying that they are unsafe for operation.

You speak of Japan as this far-away land. But it's very accessible. Easy to get to, easy to get around. To FujiQ there's a direct bus from Tokyo. For Nagashima, there's a train to Nagoya from Tokyo every 5 minutes. Then a bus. I've been multiple times and would highly recommend coasters in Japan. Just be ready for more security theater.
I’ve been lucky to ride Swamp Fox, and for its age, it’s not bad. From what I remember the airtime is good, but there wasn’t any padding in the trains, so wheel seats are an absolute pain. That said, I’m still wanting to ride Fury for the first time to see how the best B&M giga rides.
Here are my thoughts on my bucket list by Manufacture for some of them: RMC- Been on 18- Toughest call between Zadra, Wilfire, and Hakugei. I think I will go with Hakugei slightly over the other 2 Intamin- I think Kondaa is the best choice. Toutatis is the second option B&M- Flying Dinosaur gets my choice over Shambhala GCI- Wood Coaster over Python in Bamboo Forest CCI- Shivering Timbers (Should ride in May). One of the last major coasters in need in the US S&S: Eejanaika- could be a top 10 coaster Mack: Ride to Happiness over DC Rivals Gerstlauer: Karnan is a pretty easy choice. Arrow: Big One at Blackpool. Gravity Group: Leviathan at Sea World- especially with the recent hype. Schwarzkopf: Olympia Looping slightly over American Drier Looping Vekoma: FLY is a pretty easy choice Morgan: Superman el ultimo Escape- this thing looks really good Pax: Wild Train- ride looks nuts Giovanola: Anaconda- Canada Coaster Fan really hyped this ride. Looks good. PTC: Swamp Fox- Will ride it in the next 2 months TOGO: Fujiyama
Looks like??? Brudda the ride has no forces and is wonky as hell bc of it’s age. It has no theming and if you say it has, you need to look twice becuase of that weird big indoor space that is just bland and has no theming in it
I have a feeling it'll be a Vekoma something because they already built two coasters at Dollywood. Inverts are real GP pleasers so maybe Vekoma just fixes it?
Ive just done karnan 2 days ago for the first time. It was my 200th credit and man it was amazing, I thought this ride was overhyped but man its my nr 6 coaster amazing
Arrow Dynamics: Either Viper at SFMM or one of the Arrow mice B&M: Nemesis or Fury Chance Rides: Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer CCI: Shivering Timbers Dinn: Ugh.... I guess Predator? E&F Miler: Great Pumpkin at KI only so I can say I rode every coaster there Gertslauer: Smiler Gravity Group: Switchback or Ravine Flyer II GCI: Wodan or Wicker Man Hopkins: Texas Tornado Intamin: El Toro or Velocicoaster Mack Rides: Ride To Happiness Maurer Rides: Abismo Morgan: Steel Eel PTC: GASM at Over Georgia, since it was closed when we went Pinfari: Star Flyer does look cool Premier Rides: Powder Keg RMC: Hakugei S&S Sansei: Eejanaika Schwarzkopf: Olympia Looping or Bullet Vekoma: F.L.Y. or Circuit Breaker Zamperla: Probably Thunderbolt Zierer: Wicked SBF, I got my hamster ball credit. Togo, the only thing that comes to mind is Big Apple. And one that's not listed because it's in-house is finally getting Flying Turns.
I've been lucky enough to do Black Mamba, as well as Nemesis being at my home park, and I've got to say it was slightly disappointing in the forces department but the setting and theming alone makes it incredible!
I've ridden Zadra just 2 days ago, it is an awesome roller coaster, but I think that Untamed is better, because of more and better Airtime moments and Inversions
I’ve been on quite a few of the European ones but the stand outs are ride to happiness (my #1 coaster) along with F.L.Y and Schwur des Karnen (both in my top 10). Desmo Race and wild train coaster are both pretty unique experiences although the speed control on Desmo race kills the ride so don’t bother with that, you just want to go fast 😂 The one odd one for me is Black Mamba as Oziris has a much better layout and if you want setting then nemesis can’t be beat either way these two crack my top 20 overall and black mamba is outside my top 50, but everything is done so well at phantasialand that there’s hardly a bad attraction and if you’re riding black mamba then it’s a dream come true kinda situation anyways from my perspective
Also I know this a coasters list so this comment essentially makes no sense but…… the B&M black mamba Isn’t even the best black mamba, the flat ride at Prater in Austria is wild and I don’t prioritize flats when I’m at a park but that experience ranks up there with any coaster experience in my books.
It's been 6 years since I've been to Florida, so Iron Gwazi, Hagrids, Cosmic Rewind, and Velocicoaster are high on my list. Others I'm dying to ride one day are Fury, X2, Ride to Happiness, and Fly.
Good luck ridding the one in Terra Mitica, the park itself is pretty enough but i don't think that one will ever open again unless it's going to be rmc ed. O and black mamba is great but you might want to do Khatun in italy.
Black mamba and Nemesis are top tier (with a slight preference for nemesis on my side, because of its sheer intensity) but if you're coming to Europe soon you'll be surprised by O'ziris at Parc Asterix. Probably one of the best inverts in the world. It's so surprisingly great, it looks like a standard mid size invert but because of very specific tiny design details on the course it just SLAPS. Oh and Volare is pronounced "vo-lah-ray"! (Like the song)
Number 1 bucket list for Schwarzkopf is the Shuttle Loop that will open at Niagara Amusement Park because it used to operate at my home park of Kennywood from 1980-1990
As someone who rode Rattler at Fiesta Texas in 2002, I can say that setting and terrain don’t matter much when you end the ride feeling like a car accident victim.
For Maurer, I think Desmo Race is the wrong pick...it's more closed than open, and it's actually a Family Coaster... If you want a way better Maurer, without leaving Italy, Shock at Magicland should be your focus
You couldn't believe how happy I was when Kondaa was announced. Walibi needed that standput coaster and kinda sucked before Kondaa. Walibi is also getting a gerstlaur multi launch family coaster, and still has 50 mil left of their 100 mil investment plan, so I'm really excited about their future.

I think you should do a list of coasters that would be on most people's bucket lists that are in danger of closing. A list of awesome coasters that might close soon.
Interesting, will see if that idea works
For dododonpa, calling that launch "forceful" is a severe understatement.
Whoa, I didn’t see the Star Flyer pick coming. Nice!
I rode Wild Train in the front row first and thought the stories I’d heard were exaggerated. Then I rode it in the back row - holy moly, that little coaster is pure madness.
You sure that the Zamperla Volaire doesn’t operate in Kim Jung Un’s backyard where he uses it to torture his enemies? 🤣
Thumbs up just for the comment.
I've ridden quite a few of these (original Dodonpa, Fujuyama, Dawson Duel, Ride to happiness, FLY, Kondaa, Wood Coaster, Steel Dragon 2000, Tonerre 2 Zeus, Lisebergbanan).
The back row is rough/jolty as anything and its not really that forcefull (considering it has 'Geforce' in its name.)
There are far better Coasters in Germany, also from Intamin.
Some of these picks were tough for me, but I went this this:
Arrow Dynamics: Loch Ness Monster
B&M: Fury 325
Chance Rides: Lightning Run
CCI: Shivering Timbers
Dinn: Thunder Run
E&F Miler: Prairie Screamer
Gertslauer: Der Schwur des Kärnan
Gravity Group: The Voyage
GCI: Wodan Timbur Coaster
Hopkins: Texas Tornado
Intamin: Intimidator 305
Jinma Rides: Any of their tilt coasters
Mack Rides: DC Rivals Hypercoaster
Maurer Rides: Abismo
Morgan: Phantom’s Revenge
PTC: Phoenix
Premier Rides: Ice Breaker
RMC: Wildfire
S&S Sansei: Do-Dodonpa
Schwarzkopf: Olympia Looping
Togo: Bandit
Vekoma: F.L.Y.
Zamperla: Thunderbolt
Zierer: Verbolten
I just got out to Ireland a week ago and got to do Cu Chulainn. The ejector is outstanding and it’s my #4 woodie
For me
Intamin: Hyperion
B&M: Shambhala
RMC: Wildfire (Kolmarden)
Vekoma: F.L.Y
S&S: Eejanaika (what else would it be from S&S). Hopefully, Do-Dodonpa reopens.
Premier: West Coast Racers
Mack: Ride to Happiness
Gerstlauer: Oath of Karnan
GCI: Mystic Timbers
Gravity Group: The Voyage
Morgan: Steel Dragon 2000
CCI: Legend and Tonnerre deus Zeus
Maurer: Honestly I don’t know, nothing really screams “bucket list. Hope y’all can give me some recommendations.
PTC: Phoenix
Dinn: None
RCCA: axe them all or RMC them.
Togo: Fujiyama
Arrow Dynamics: Dragon Mountain
In house coasters: The Beast
I've ridden 3 of the ones on your list, The Beast, Voyage and Mystic Timbers.
The Beast: it was rough but the experience and journey honestly justifies it. Also the night ride is EPIC.
Voyage: It's long but it can get a bit rough. I believe it got smoothed out though. Still an epic ride.
Mystic Timbers: An absolute sleeper hit for Kings Island. I absolutely love it.
Fly is basicly in my home park, and damm its good, go try it
mystic timbers is amazing, beast isn’t really that fun until the double helix, but the scenery and terrain is the part that makes it good
Ha! Good luck getting on Desmo Race! That’s more of a pipe dream than Wood Coaster at Knight Valley!
If you're going to Marineland, Darien lake is less than an hour away (plus border crossing). You could easily do both in a day
I agree with the below Nemesis isnt really a forces ride but its so low down and the turns are tight you think you can be dunked into the caverns is the big thing from it.
@@Hoopa234 I believe it! I grew up Surfside, and I can attest to how violent that thing is!
As someone who has ridden desmo race I can say that it is better than I expected
Dragon Mountain is honestly one of the best arrow experiences I’ve ever had. Also, maybe the weirdest experience I’ve ever had walking through a queue because it was literally pitch black in there 😅
At Intamin I would have expected Expedition GeForce at Holiday Park in Haßloch, Germany. But Kondaa is definitely a great pick, too
Intamin is so stacked, GeForce is super high on my bucket list also
I've ridden Kondaa and Expedition GeForce - both are amazing rides in my Top 10 🤘🏻
Totally get your B&M pick but dude you're going to love Shambhala so much.
Arrow - X2
B&M - Fury: 325
CCI - Ghostrider
Chance Rides - Lightning Run
Dinn Corp. - Timber Wolf
GCI - Wood Coaster
Gerstlauer - Schwur des Karnan
Giovanola - Anaconda
Gravity Group - The Voyage
Hopkins - Desert Storm
Intamin - Taron
Jinma - Battle of Jungle King
Mack - Ride to Happiness
Maurer - Abismo
Morgan - Phantom’s Revenge
Pax - Wild Train
Pinfari - Star Flyer
Premier Rides - Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast
PTC - Phoenix (I’ve ridden it but it’s been over a decade and I barely remember it so I need a re-ride)
RMC - Iron Gwazi
RCCA - Magnus Colossus
S&S - Eejanaika
SBF - Migfer
Schwarzkopf - American Drier Looping
Skyline - New Jr. Coasters
Togo - Fujiyama
Vekoma - Fly
Wiegand - Any alpine coaster
Zamperla - Thunderbolt
Zierer - Wicked
i rode magnus colossus at terra mitica and i can confirm that yes, it feels like being stuck in 2 benders combined
Nice, thanks for the tip. I haven't heard of this one
Thank you for including cú chulainn going to Emerald park on Saturday I'm excited to get back on cú Chulainn I hope you get to go to Emerald park one day
I've been on swamp fox tons of times and it is fantastic,
some of the hills going into them give surprising airtime and the bunny hills are super fun.
Also looking out at the beach is fantastic
Looks like he didn’t fall for Mr. Hunt’s trickery
Great video as always! Also, you mentioning Karnan's "surprise" got me thinking that a video ranking various coasters' gimmicks could be cool.
True, not many coasters have gimmicks though. Maybe the occasional drop track or surprise backward launch
rode steel dragon 50 times in two days when it was running on one train - best weekend ever
I appreciate the time and effort you put into each of your videos 👏🏼
Accurate TOGO logo!
And our bucket list coaster from Wiegand is Tobotronc in Andorra; the ACTUAL longest coaster in the world at 17,388.5 feet
That's a great one, I definitely should have gone with that
I went to Nagashima spa land a few days ago to ride SD2K.
FLY is absolutely amazing!!
Black Mamba is my favorite invert! Been on most of the major US ones and would still choose this - I think it’s underrated despite the rave reviews as is
Predator is at my home park. So much better after the titan track. It beat me up every ride until I rode it last year.
Going to Parc Astérix today, can't wait to see how Tonnerre 2 Zeus rides! I've ridden it a hundred times before its refurbishment and it was my second favorite at the park then so I'm excited! Also the backwards car is free to ride now, no more fee ;)
I heard the ride is still rough. Also surprised the back car is free, i wonder if the line to ride the back row is significantly longer
Top 20??? haha! It's number one Chris, because every cycle is different ;-)
Kondaa is also great, but so are all other mega coasters, like Goliath at Walibi Holland, Expedition G-Force at Holiday Park and of course Hyperion (which is actually a hyper coaster) at Energylandia!
You are underestimating Untamed at Walibi Holland!
Walibi Holland also has Lost Gravity, a Big Dipper from Mack, which I like very much, but it's short...
Greetings from the Netherlands!
Maurer also did the coasters for Carnival Cruise, and it is my bucket list coaster when I ever get the chance.
chris you gotta do your bucket list by the numbers i’ve been wanting to suggest this. that is if you have an objective list for it
Love your channel. Subscribed when you had less than 4k subs!!!
"I can only imagine how cool it would be to go to North Korea..."
-Airtime Thrills, 2023k
Iron Gwazi is the biggest bucket list coaster for me.
Trust me you will love it
It’s the best RMC though it’s the only RMC I’ve been on.
It’s at my home park!!!
Better than Steve
I just rode it Tuesday, I don't even know what hit me. It is relentless. I think you'll love it.
@@nito209 same BGT is also my home park
“First name Mike last name Hunt” 💀
0:35 good job keeping it G rated 😂
Yeah honestly its probably easier to get around than Europe considering their public trasit system
7:14 That airtime tho 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I got to ride the original “The Bat” at Kings Island it’s first year…….and it was GREAT !!!
I‘ve ridden Black Mamba, Tonnerre 2 Zeus, Wild Train, F.L.Y. , Zadra and Schwur des Kärnan from your bucket List
All these coasters look really wicked to ride.
Here are my thoughts on my bucket list by Manufacture for some of them:
RMC- Been on 18- Toughest call between Zadra, Wilfire, and Hakugei. I think I will go with Hakugei slightly over the other 2
Intamin- I think Kondaa is the best choice. Toutatis is the second option
B&M- Flying Dinosaur gets my choice over Shambhala
GCI- Wood Coaster over Python in Bamboo Forest
CCI- Shivering Timbers (Should ride in May). One of the last major coasters in need in the US
S&S: Eejanaika- could be a top 10 coaster
Mack: Ride to Happiness over DC Rivals
Gerstlauer: Karnan is a pretty easy choice.
Arrow: Big One at Blackpool.
Gravity Group: Leviathan at Sea World- especially with the recent hype.
Schwarzkopf: Olympia Looping slightly over American Drier Looping
Vekoma: FLY is a pretty easy choice
Morgan: Superman el ultimo Escape- this thing looks really good
Pax: Wild Train- ride looks nuts
Giovanola: Anaconda- Canada Coaster Fan really hyped this ride. Looks good.
PTC: Swamp Fox- Will ride it in the next 2 months
TOGO: Fujiyama
Good list Alan!
@@Marty_NZ I figure you would appreciate my answer for Gravity Group!
Superman for Morgan would also be a great choice....but i still would choose SD2K. But superman is probably the better ride
Colorado Adventure looks like it could be the best Vekoma mine train. Any thoughts on what could replace T3?
Looks like??? Brudda the ride has no forces and is wonky as hell bc of it’s age. It has no theming and if you say it has, you need to look twice becuase of that weird big indoor space that is just bland and has no theming in it
Wildcard pick for T3 replacement: intamin 10 inversion coaster to take the USA inversion record from Kenny wood
I have a feeling it'll be a Vekoma something because they already built two coasters at Dollywood. Inverts are real GP pleasers so maybe Vekoma just fixes it?
You had to say “First name Mike, Last name hunt” as to not get cancelled
Ive just done karnan 2 days ago for the first time. It was my 200th credit and man it was amazing, I thought this ride was overhyped but man its my nr 6 coaster amazing
Arrow Dynamics: Either Viper at SFMM or one of the Arrow mice
B&M: Nemesis or Fury
Chance Rides: Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer
CCI: Shivering Timbers
Dinn: Ugh.... I guess Predator?
E&F Miler: Great Pumpkin at KI only so I can say I rode every coaster there
Gertslauer: Smiler
Gravity Group: Switchback or Ravine Flyer II
GCI: Wodan or Wicker Man
Hopkins: Texas Tornado
Intamin: El Toro or Velocicoaster
Mack Rides: Ride To Happiness
Maurer Rides: Abismo
Morgan: Steel Eel
PTC: GASM at Over Georgia, since it was closed when we went
Pinfari: Star Flyer does look cool
Premier Rides: Powder Keg
RMC: Hakugei
S&S Sansei: Eejanaika
Schwarzkopf: Olympia Looping or Bullet
Vekoma: F.L.Y. or Circuit Breaker
Zamperla: Probably Thunderbolt
Zierer: Wicked
SBF, I got my hamster ball credit. Togo, the only thing that comes to mind is Big Apple. And one that's not listed because it's in-house is finally getting Flying Turns.
My bucket list coaster is Zadra, but sadly I live in Indiana so i probably won’t get out there anytime soon
Swamp Fox is fun! It was one of the first coasters Ive ever ridden
I like this video idea! Have you ridden any of these since you made this??
I've been to Phantasialand, FLY is amazing and is in my top 10, Black Mamba was underwhelming with the layout but the theming kind of made up for it.
You'll love X2. It's so fun and intense!
I just so happen to ride Lisebergsbanan in fall 2019, and it was sure an amazing ride
Loved the Togo logo!
