I remember at one point he had won half of the WGC events, 20 out of 40. Greatest player ever to touch a golf club, period.
Wonder if we’ll ever see another Tiger in our lifetime, phenomenal player
The thing that these kinds of videos dont capture is sometimes it's not about the hole or shot, but about when it came... how clutch under pressure.
Even in the dark
Yeah Tiger is easily the best clutch player golf has ever seen.
#1 was no pressure at all 😂. He won by 11 shots .
His first time at Augusta as a pro.
Once he spins that club after he hits the ball he knows its a beauty of a shot
kray z Dude That was said in the video
That's call a twirl
A twirl of doom for the field!!!
Tiger Woods never cease to amaze me. The collection of highlights were the best!
181 yards out and tiger says “ feeling good give me my 8 iron” wow 🤩
I’d be hitting a 3 wood!! Lmao
"this thing is in the ionosphere" oooh i wish i could see that ball flight
Listen to the David Feherty story with the footage where Tiger hit a WEDGE out of the rough at 190 yards out and actually flew it 3 yards over the pin.
@@Fister_of_Muppets just watched kyle Berkshire hit a 7 iron 302 yards 😳
@@tonys8448 Kyle's a beast, but you'll never see him win a major. Combining power and control takes skill, which is why people like Tiger, Jack, Bryson, even John Daly stand out as enigmas.
I'm a simple man. I see Tiger, I watch.
Well said, Jeff! Well said.
That's the only time I watch golf.
Tiger is a simple man as well he plays and wins
Same
How about now?? Still? Today’s tiger, I’d play against, confidently.
Golf wasn't the same without Tiger. A living legend
@Tom AcM 15 majors go back to bed
@Tom AcM Yep. I like it better without him.
@@ee.es00 this proves how good he was
@@ee.es00 only you and about two others. The rest of us need Tiger in the game.
@@ee.es00 What channels did you watch golf on and for how long before Tiger came along? It was a coincidence, but the Golf Channel’s first tournament was in January of 1995. Tiger’s pro debut was at the end of August 1996. Weekend golf coverage used to be relegated to about 2 hours on Saturday and Sunday. I remember specifically watching the Pebble Beach tournament and they would only show holes 16-18. The Masters never showed the front 9. Then they gradually started to show more of the course and now we see every hole. I can’t even calculate how much more golf we see now than we used to and all the new fangled shot tracer technology that we get to see...all of that is due to one guy. Without Tiger Woods, golf would be a second class sport that nobody really care about.
And I’m just curious what is it about golf that you like better without Tiger Woods?
I don’t think people are realizing how impressive a 9&8 win is. I know Tiger had some extra motivation there but that’s just unheard of.
Never heard of that big a win
I don't even know what a "9&8 win" is and I've been golfing for like 15 years.
@@twelvecatsinatrenchcoat It's a Match Play thing. Tiger won the first 9 holes and then tied on the 10th which means that he wins the Match because even if the other guy wins all the other holes it's going to be Tiger 9 the other guy 8. Hence the term, 9&8.
@@lpr5269 So is a match play usually like an exhibition 1v1 thing?
@@twelvecatsinatrenchcoat No, there are several match play events, including the Ryder Cup.
More people should watch golf
More people should watch golf...after they have tried to play golf...
GENIUS AT WORK we forget how good he was when in his prime great to see him back competing again IMO more majors to come possibly
No one can get a golf crowd and the announcers more hyped than Tiger can, possibly more than any other sport
Nobody born after the great generation saw Palmer play
I LOVE Tiger. I never started watching golf until Tiger showed up, and won't watch it if he's not playing. I don't care if he plays a good game or a bad game...I just like to watch him.
That's.... strange.
@@winstonsmith11 I swear...I'm not his stalker. ;)
You can go watch him at home today. He withdrew because of his injury.
They really should use the name of the tournament the year it actually occurred. All the WGC-Mexico shots were obviously at Doral. All the WGC-FedEx St Jude shots were obviously at Firestone.
It was posted in the left hand corner of the video.
@@danni1993 What he meant was the new sponsors of the events don't fit the years the event was actually played. The Doral clips should have been WGC-Cadillac instead of Mexico.

Thankfully, we can now look forward to 25 more years of highlight reels by Charlie Woods!
2:36 gimme that sound over current drivers ANY time.
Im friends with the old superintendent of Firestone south, just for a little perspective on that shot in the dark, he was about 15 yards behind tiger when he hit that shot and couldnt even see him it was so dark. The cameras don't do it justice, amazing!
Who can defeat with a club a free Tiger in the dark? No human ever 😂
I can't see how that's true. The human eye has superior night vision to a television video camera.
I appreciate how golfers take their hats off before shaking hands, as a sign of respect
De otro Planeta!!, Gracias por estar en este!
Tiger is the reason Golf has grown so quickly. Watching a TRUE champion at work is what everybody who watches, wanted to see. Say the word 'TIGER' and the magic comes back.
I came here after he injured in a car crash, wishing him the best of health.
Yeah hope he heals well, unfortunately not well or fast enough to play competitive.
@@daviclar867 you don’t know that.
@@colbycarroll7746 dude he's 46 and it will take him maybe a year til he can swing some clubs. Then another 6 months of walking 18 holes 4 straight days. I doubt he'll be able to show us one more spectacular moment.
I started working as a groundskeeper at a country club, and I’ve played golf but never really “got into it” anyways, I love how all of these courses are designed. Tiger you’re a beast
Brother changed the game for real!
I remember watching that #1 shot live - he hit that shot in the dark with only his caddys direction (the camera doesn't do it justice). Unbelievable and true genius - absolute legend!
In these days, Tiger seem to control his emotion when game does not go in his way. In old days, he used to show his emotions in poor play. People say that Tiger matured but for me his anger is another point of attraction. His anger showed his passion for the game and energy. I miss them very much.
Johnathan Ha it
Tiger woods still remains my inspiration
Tiger, the kind of guy that does things right in front of your eyes, and the ones who've been around the sport all their lives still can't believe it. That's DemiGod territory.
Make Firestone Great Again
Tiger does shots commonly what other pros do once in a while. Tiger attempts things that most other pros would play safe or not consider, the only problem is that Tiger pulls it off. That's what makes Tiger the best at this game is because the many shots that he has pulled off is the memorable ones that either keeps him in contention, extends the tournament or wins it outright.
The many times that people have counted Tiger out because of the situation he is in, only to be disproven when he pulls of the impossible is what engrains his shots into our minds. It's like the last shot in any sport, you give the basketball to the best shooter, you put the best batter or pitcher up, you give the offense the ball back with the best QB in the league, they are the best and more efficient at what they do! In Golf, you give Tiger a chance and odds are he will take it and make good on it!
Shot in the dark.... chills
that shot in the dark still amazes me....only one guy can do that, and the GOAT is that guy
Greatest golfer period.
G O A T
People forget Stephen Ames tried to dawg tiger and the next day tiger destroyed him.
Ooops
The worst thing you can face is a champion-level competitor. The worst thing you can do is start a fire under them. See Michael Jordan.
He understood these events will always be considered golden bc of the field quality. He took these as serious as majors in my book
Tiger woods, the Greatist golfer of all Time !!!! 🏌
Greatest of all time. The man is my hero.
The man is a machine! Unbelievable performance! His son Charlie will carry his legacy on! Tiger clearly loves to work under under pressure!
No chance. 🐯 Knows the pressure of being #1 and perfect. 📸📹 Waiting for him to do wrong like his dad. Charlie should just get a regular job in a 🏗️🏬🏭
I can't wait to see him on tour again. Hurry back Tiger.
彼のおかげでゴルフ⛳が復活しました❗見せるゴルフです。
I remember an impossible shot he made on the 18th hole to tie Rocco Mediate for the championship. About 90 feet, up and over a hill, curved and went in the hole. All Mediate could do was shake his head. Then, Tiger beat poor Rocco in the playoff hole.
Brady, Tiger, Federer, Nadal, Novak, Serena, Peyton, Phillips and LeBron has been some of the greatest sports entertainment in the last 20 years in the history of sports!
That look at 3:15 is the same one I had when I was a kid, took something I shouldn't have and got away with it.
He's the Best💪💪💪😘
The guy is just pure box office!
#3 is just DIRTY! Was so much fun following him in his prime!
That putt was tremendous 🤩, the greatest golfer ever !!!
I find it hard to compile a 10 best all time shots of Tiger. There’s just too many contenders
It will take another century before another Tiger is born, what a player
I think we all agree on #1.
However I feel like this was missing that one match play against JB Holmes (2008 I think). The clutch putts he made in that one were off the charts.
He was so good. Incredible talent
The #1 shot - that was in pitch darkness. Don't let the cameras fool you - they tend to make things lighter than they really are. Tiger said he couldn't even see the green.
Yes they open the iris on the camera lense letting more light in so its about 50% lighter. You could tell just how dark it was with all the camera flashes.
@man0z They sound the horn which yes thats the case but each player has the freedom to decide to finish out the hole or not.
Baixei o PGA TOUR 2K21 aqui. Muito bom além dele eu jogo o Mario Golf Toadstool Tour
so glad i got to grow uop watching tiger in his prime. kids now days just dont know.
2:14 his laugh gets me every time.
That was a cool video love it
They are great shots but you missed my fav.. the 2005 masters(think is was anyways) when he was high on the green and he made that incredible 2 part downhill putt..just freeking amazin
after hitting all those shots he probable felt really happy cuz he knew he was gonna go on the pga tour channel.
Gotta love his smile at 3:14
GOAT
I still have a bunch of those baggy short sleeve shirts that go all the way to the elbows. I never realized how outdated they look until watching this video!!
they're the best looking shirts in the whole video ngl
#5 8iron from 181. Awesome shot.
What a joy to be a witness to Tiger Woods’ golf career. His career has paralleled my marriage. We married in 1997. I watched his big amateur wins before that too.
The all time 🐐! Tiger! You da man...
1000th like!
Shots #5, #3, and #1 were not from St. Jude's, as the video says. They occurred at the Bridgestone WGC at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. I know that FUTURE tournaments were later moved and renamed. But please don't change recorded history.

Tiger woods i bet is better than you
Totally dominated the first 15 years of WGCs.
Great stuff 👍...
Sorry been watching tiger for many years and this was a pretty week top 10 for him.
Bro it’s wgc events only pretty sure it was just doral and Firestone back then so only 2 wgc events a season
@@kylemckay3941 gotcha makes sense
Tiger, the Artist. (just edited the post to put the "A" in caps)
Back when a golfer was the highest paid athlete.
theres nothing tiger loves more than showing people hes the sickest human with a golf club, unbelievable
turned up at our local course a few years ago and foggy but starter aimed us in the right direction. second shot blind so just guess work, finished 3 feet from the flag !!
Amazing! Tiger Woods!
God, bless forever 🙏
fantastic .......
*T WOODS (ROCKS)...*
Magical
His caddy back in 2000 was electric with tiger.
With all due respect when Tiger is done they should change the name of these events to Tiger Golf Championships. He's won the most by far
18 World Golf Championship wins.
The Return To Glory
By Sir Deepy
April 14, 20❤️🦋18
Spring Anew!!!
Tears flooded my weary eyes,
When I heard about,
Sir Tiger's Return To Glory,
With obvious,
Sunny clout!
I put myself on the couch to ask why,
I had to cry,
After hearing of,
Brother Tiger's Master's victorious,
Never give up sort of,
O yes I can love!
For sure, I am Tiger Woods,
Who made many,
Mistakes galore,
Yet, like Mr. Woods I still have the capacity,
To yet boldly soar!
Tiger's win quickens anew in me,
The energies of never give up,
No matter what life pours,
Into my daily cup!
I heard a commentator say three words,
Which are keys to Tiger's win,
"BELIEF AND DETERMINATION",
Which tend to be the great one's,
Intimate kin!
Yes, "BELIEF AND DETERMINATION",
(In other words you must be "B.A.D."),
Which are seeds planted deeply in Tiger,
By his mentor-his Dad!
Somehow I hear the Sunny-America,
Being re'minded to,
Follow Her bliss from The Highest Energy's,
Inner skies of blue!
We all were made to Master,
From the sunny inside out,
For we are made of The Highest Energy,
With glorious clout!
Tiger's Return To Glory is a lesson,
For all of US,
Especially in the land whose money says,
"In God We Trust"!
Peace.
Blissfully Tiger's And Ours This Day,
James Lee Frazier, Jr

I love tiger woods
yeah
Most dominant athlete ever.
The man
What about his bunker shot with a 3 wood? Hits it 280 with cross wind and sticks it to like 15 feet
You can add the chip in at the 16th during the Masters to that list easily
I bought a tiger video
"My 18 favorite holes"
I was bummed
It was about golf😵
I like his chip at the 16th hole in 2005 the best. It's almost weird looking, as if life is a computer simulation and suddenly you could tell.
Tiger Woods
( in my Richard Burton voice )
He is A. GOD !!!
As Kirk Douglas said in The Bad And The Beautiful "That's star quality."
what about that shot he curved around a tree form the bunker? I'd put that at #1
Best shot I've ever seen
Nobody even close to tiger he's the goat
The most annoying thing in the world: these complications where music changes between every shot
He is the greatest golfer all the time
4:33 "I've never seen the likes of this." .... except that Tiger did something similar time and again after that comment was taped in 2000. :-) I can't wait to see Tiger in the Masters again ..... whenever that eventually happens.
świetne strzał mojego idola z dziecinstwa ps. żyć nie umierac
o ja tez go lubie
😀
Um, dear PGA. There are a few scenes that are clearly Firestone Country Club that you say are St Jude. Who's doing the content creation here?
The name they used is the current name of the event. The event at Firestone is now sponsored by Fed-Ex
What about tigers chip shot in 2005Masters where it hung on the hole and just fell in
This shot was not in a World Golf Championship. It was during the US Masters.
@@Carola35321 My ignorance I didn’t know there was a difference I thought this was all inclusive
My favorite all time. The Build up was more than any Mortal man could take. Hits it 30 some foot away from pin... Then it slowly crawled to the flag.. building up the energy in the crowed. And flopped in. I will never forget it as long as I live.
dude spun an 8i back from `180 yards
私はこの時期のタイガーが1番好きです。年間のグランドスラムを達成するのはタイガーしかいないと思ってました。残念ながら無理でしたが、やっぱりタイガーは凄いです。
