CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Mr. Goodman (Christopher Lloyd) is stunned by the presence of a prehistoric pirahna, and warns of the difficulty of destroying the species.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Haute Tension and Hills Have Eyes director Alexandre Aja pays homage to the films that made him fall in love with the horror genre by helming this comedic remake of director Joe Dante's 1978 Jaws parody. Lake Victoria may look peaceful, but beneath the placid waters of this painterly lake lurks a deadly menace. A powerful underwater tremor has released scores of man-eating prehistoric fish into the waters, and now it's up to a group of unlikely heroes to band together and defeat the razor-toothed predators. With time running out and the aquatic carnivores taking over, one brave heroine (Elisabeth Shue) will risk everything to save the lake and prevent her family from becoming fish food. Richard Dreyfuss, Ving Rhames, Jerry O'Connell, and Adam Scott star in the Dimension Films production.

bedrock breaker youtube they been eating eachother for million years wtf
I like how they actually made up scientific terminology for a fake piranha.I love it
This species of piranha existed in real life
in 2 millions years without sun they would definitely loose the eyes. And cannibalism to survive that long? please...how big is this lake
@@Waragog i was thinking the same, but i always ignored it sometimes since not all movies are bound by our realism
It's what evolutionists do too.
@@Waragog If you ever seen a zoomed out view of the planet and the mountains there like bumps on the road so underground caverns have the potential to be pretty massive
When he said, "But if there are really thousands, yesterday would have been a good day to start" gave me goosebumps
Gave you goosebumps? Least obvious bot comment
Because the fish would swamp the lake and kill all fish and would look for another preys
No its because they multiply at the exponential rate of 2^5 the thousands yesterday became hundreds of thousands overnight
Edit: the reason why they can still multiply without seemingly any prey left is because this particular species also feed off algae which is very abundant in lakes. This species became extinct because crocs and caimans hunted them to extinction

I like the fact that these are not ordinary piranhas, but some kind of made up prehistoric piranha which pretty much gives the writers an excuse to do whatever they want with them.
They are based of a real fossil of a prehistoric fish but I can’t remember the name of it
Even then I don’t think living exclusively off of their own flesh for so many years is a reasonable addition
@@abysswalker2594They actually weren't. There was a large prehistoric piranha though, about 3 feet long called Megapiranha parenensis. My only irl with this film is they call the one in the film Pygocentrus natereri, which actually is the binomial for the Red Bellied Piranha, they should have made it have it's own scientific name, not just steal the Red Bellies.
@@brad5204ironically humans do the same in certain clans deep within modern day society so its not impossible whoever doesn’t die lives, a little unnerving tho

@@boofstain1508 yes
If he said “Great Scott” when he saw the piranha it would be a little nice throwback.
"Should have started yesterday" is the callback.
In the original Piranha 1978 movie, the piranhas are genetically engineered to be living weapons. In this version, they are portrayed as descendants of a prehistoric species that got trapped in an underwater cavern 2 millions years ago. Being cut off from the rest of the world, they evolved into a highly aggressive species as the only food source was each other.

As fun as the lewd scenes were, they made this movie half the time look like a Porno.
Kind of wish they focused more on the scary Fish side of the story.

This Doc plays Christopher Lloyd really well!!! ❤️
I'm going to be honest. I think the acting in Piranha 3D is really good! The only things bad about the film is the special effects and the overly gimmicky 3D shooting.
I don't know, sometimes the special effects hit really well and other times they miss ngl. And to give some credit, modeling all those thousands of fish in those scenes could NOT have been easy LOL.
Two stars from Back to the Future Doc Brown and Jennifer Parker :)

Fun fact : the piranha will not skeletonize a human or an animal in seconds unless it was starved intentionally. In which some were for the spectacle for Theodore Roosevelt.
Hence the blood thirsty piranha.
These were prehistoric piranha, and their biteforce is vastly on par with Trex.
Did some people knew that Sheriff Dempsey (Elisabeth Shue) and Mr. Goodman (Christopher Lloyd) are Jennifer Parker and Doc Brown from Back to the Future Part II and Back to the Future Part III, and did somebody notice that this was the third time they reunited in this movie.

Christopher Loyd is a great awesome actor🎭🎬📽🎞🎥
I think I've seen this before in a movie from the eighties called The Boogens. A mining company opened an old abandoned subterranean mine and inadvertently released these prehistoric monstrous killer turtle like creatures and people started getting killed. Very overused scenario but still interesting.
TheTallMan35
Actually, I don’t think many other films use that premise.
How bout bringing the piranhas’ predators like mosasaurs, ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs & other alpha species that used to cruse the lakes, river deltas, coastal swamplands and shallow seas of prehistoric central Africa Europe, Asia and North America

For a prehistoric ancestor.
I do love the design.
0:38 Woah, Doc. That's heavy. A lot to take in right now...

Very Educational. Imagine if a different prehistoric species was discovered alive, a fossil expert gets super excited, and he or she dumps a whole lot of informations on you. Like the Megalodon.

Easily the best part of the movie. Love Christopher Lloyd
Who said grandpa don't have good reflexes
1:53
This scene is actually my favorite since it details the titular piranhas.
no piranha looks like that or is that aggressive
Hostility Man yes but these creatures spent 2 million years isolated in a cave only surviving via cannibalism and inbreeding
Im not suprised they're very aggressive when they lived in such a cut-throat environment
@@cryptozoologistinvestigato6964 it's also a movie....

Fun Fact:There was an actual giant piranha that swam in the Amazon way back in the Cenizoic era along with a caiman the size of a school bus and a capybara the size of a large dog
I'm sorry what?
Well, grandpa is truly a legend, he tell the history of piranha in great details as if he existed 2 million years ago.
That's Doc Brown from Back to the future. He always is good at explaining stuff
Still remember watching this when I was a kid it was fun

"Great Scott! It's a Piranha from 2 Million years ago! I saw it when I traveled back in time!"
"its like those baby aligators in new jersey they leave them and than the breed" "what?" XD
I love the poster it has a cool reference to Jaws
So Jennifer Parker and Doc Brown have to time travel to a destination in order to prevent the Piranhas from being produced.
Great Scott that prehistoric piranha vanished more than two million years ago
Everyone talkin about Doc but not even realizing Jennifer's in this scene too ;)
So my cousin showed me this movie what a year ago two years ago and I’ve been terrified of fish but specifically piranha’s. Whenever we joking and bring up piranhas I get serious and nervous like it ain’t a joke no more. That’s how scared I am of them.
actually you could hibernate them sorta like sharks for an Jurassic Park because every single Jurassic Park went so well..
Pygocentrus nattereri is the red belly piranha which is from the amazon lol
Great Scott so your telling me there are thousands of these piranhas oh this is heavy
The funny part about all of these movies is that the threat can immediately be avoided by living on land
Oh hey, it’s Chief Pachacamac
0:25 Christopher Lloyd’s louder voice reminds me of Dr. Emmett Brown
