OMG those are the cutest little owls. It was sure a please to meet you and your beautiful wife at Dice Tower West this year. I hope you are both well. Thanks for this video as this game has been on my radar since I saw the box art. Oh Andrew Bosley you are a fantastically talented individual!
Love the Art, love the weight, love the components. I´m just a little worried for the downtime . Other than when you travel, other players don´t seem to interract in your turn . It seems that 3 players will be the cap due to the downtime. However, this is my type of game. Rahdo, you have convinced me to back this game.
Seems like each turn could be pretty snappy with experienced players, but the forward planning might slow things down considerably in a 4-player game with new players or those prone to AP. Still, looks like a great combination of mechanics, aesthetic, and theme...I think I'm convinced, too.
What's the point of a magic item? I saw you turn in the magic book at Nightpoem, but it didn't seem to give you any bonus. Or, does it pertain to selling it at the market?
It annoys me a little that the horse you start with is facing towards the left. If it was facing the right, you could put him where you put him and it would almost look like it was dragging the carriage! Would have been a nice touch!
I do not understand why you can use the illuminated die again on 12:14. You already used it to go 5, visit the building on the left top. Then you went 2 with the other die and visit another building again with the illuminated die?
@@bastis.1751 that makes more sense! okay, basically, when you use the die from the central locked stop and you don't collect a lantern, that means you get to use an orange die (if you've got one). using an orange die means 1) you get to choose which die (the normal black, or the orange) that moves you around the rondel, and 2) you get to do 3 actions when you arrive: the two locations at your final rondel spot, plus the building that's inbetween them. :)
@@rahdo ok, so that mean independent from which die you use to move, when you have the orange die in this round you can visit all special places that require an illuminated die? I thought if you already used the orange one for move and visited a building you can not visit another building on the way on which you arrived with the black one.
@@bastis.1751 okay, i'll try to be a bit more thorough :) when you use the middle unlock ability to deploy an orange die: 1) move on the rondel, using either the black or orange die value to determine where you will end up. 2) in any order you like, activate both locations at the rondel spot you are at, along with the bonus building that's inbetween them. (so do 3 actions basically) 3) turn over :)
Thanks Rahdo for all that you do, the world would suck without ya.
I haven't watched a Rahdo vid in a while. That production! Impressed with the grabbing components to magnify them. Well done!
Welcome back! :)
The inventory for each merchant is reminiscent of Diablo 2, love it. Great video as always
Great solo playthrough Rahdo. Very thorough explanation of the gameplay mechanics. 👍
I've been waiting for your preview to see if I wanted this game (and the answer's yes!) thanks Rahdo!
I paused the video after about 10mins to go and back this one
Thanks, Andrew! :)
Thanks, Adam! :)
I just spotted this game some days ago on BGG so thank you Rahdo for this playthrough.

Andrew is a great guy AND artist! :)

Exactly my concern too. Seems like, with so many decisions and aspects to your turn, downtime would be a killer.

Your video was helpful. I'm looking forward to this game. Thx👍
This looks like an interesting medium weight game.
Love the aesthetic of the game and rondel and dice manipulation mechanics. But there might be a bit too much going on! Not sure.
it is a LOT! :)
Internally, we've put the difficulty level at something like Castles of Burgundy or Concordia. Maybe something like Roll for the Galaxy or Suburbia?
I just love this game!

you get bonuses it you deliver them to the villages or sell them to the adventurers :)
it gave him an extra point of prestige. he got the 6 for delivering the 3 items on his contract. He got a 7th point due to the "magic" book

You're 100% correct and we've already corrected that. :)

is your timestamp right? i just checked and that's in the middle of a AI turn...

Too busy for me but great video.
at 34:15 did you mean to say "Or if you don't have a MAGICAL item you lose an item?" I'm assuming so.
Noted... thanks
