That green screened side camera is the best, wish more board game reviewers/previewers would do something like this.

Lovely desaturated colours on the game elements and the game play looks fun enough. But -- yikes! -- the tininess of all those markers! If the maps (and therefore the hex sizes) were bigger, this might not seem so fiddly. But since players keep having to put stuff on the map or pull it back from it, this is no small downside. Also I don't quite understand the decision to go with cardboard coins, when a score track would have been easier to maintain.
    Thanks for demonstrating this game!

Как всегда, очень информативно. Игра выглядит очень привлекательно и стильно.

22:50 for the second goal he correctly noticed that he was adjacent to the grasslands but ignored its also adjacent to the desert, as an aside if he had gone south instead he could have then explored the mountain to complete that goal.

Looks great… thanks for your Runthrough!
(btw… just for biological education purposes… Cnidarians is a large Phylum of aquatic animals like jellyfish and corals. It is pronounced with a (weird) silent “c”, and a long “i”)

Looks like a fun mixture of Trails of Tucana, Cartographers and Kingdom Builder, but in no way a must have for me.

Looks great but I’m concerned about table bump accidents 😬

i've heard some folks say that but i don't quite understand it. my wife and i literally play on a super lightweight outdoor patio table that we've brought indoors, and we never have problems bumping stuff (unless the dogs jump up on the table, which does happen some times, but that will mess up any game) :)

We were super engaged by watching this gameplay on Twitch last week! Def interested in preordering this one - especially seeing that they may push out lots of microexpansions for it over time
One thing I was pondering ---- I know you have a fondness for blue tack. Is that something you have tried out with this game to keep the cubies from sliding all over? Or would that be too much of a pain given how many cubes there are on the map at a time?

you end up with a lot of cubes on the board, and since at the end of each age you have to remove them, it would be a bit of a pain i think. one thing that could make sense woudl be to only blutack the stuff that stays (villages, treasure tokens, towers) so that at the end of the round you could just tild the board and clear everything out! :)
tbh we didn't really find a problem with accidentally nudging the cubes. the game is over so fast they don't stick around that long!

@@rahdo That's really good feedback - and consistent with my thoughts about the number of cubes and refreshing of them. Thanks! We'll just be sure to play away from disruptive kitty paws.

End of Era 2 - would you be able to go to the 2 coin mountain near the tower - the bottom end of the yellow trail?

    • @rahdo
      @rahdo  2 года назад

yup, that was a dumb oversight on my part. well spotted! :)

@@rahdo I was more worried if there is like an extra cost going to the more profitable hexes. And also, thank you for all your videos, you have helped me pick and avoid a lot of games and you are definitely one of my most favorite content creator :)

Would have been good to finish the game. Needed to see the last round and endgame mechanics.
