It is all gossip. Every single thing you reported is just twisting innocent things and saying they're malicious. as someone who was groomed online as a child and is now an adult i would like to add that grooming isn't ALWAYS sexual. that's what people associate the word with and imo she did that too, but even if ppl want to ignore that part for whatever reason, using fan's trust for free labor and spreading hate campaigns against children is absolutely grooming. even if there was no sexual content at all this would still be wrong and awful and it makes it even worse that that type of content IS present in the screenshots
If grooming isn't sexual, it's not grooming. That's literally what the crime of "Grooming" is. Somehow fans talk to celebs online when they're teens and when the celeb stops talking to them, they say "Well, that's grooming" and not "Well, enough time passed that they started regretting letting me into their life when I'm clearly a fanatic." And so they use the fact they were a fanatic as a teen against them as an adult. It's happened many a time to many a celebrity and all claim it's "grooming" when there was nothing sexual about it. They just want to save face to explain why they no longer have access to one of their favorite celebrities.
@johnsmi213 when someone builds a relationship (normally an adult), trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them (what grooming means), grooming can be sexual abuse, physical abuse and emotional abuse, so basically grooming is a way to lower a child's resistance so that when the adult (normally) asks for something the child would almost always agree because their resistance has been lowered
the whole point of the word 'grooming' is to refer to something sexually inappropriate and manipulation to working up to something sexual. It IS sexual. You are incorrect and spreading misinformation. That's the whole point is to 'groom' kids into something sexual later on.

The reason this is being described as “grooming” is specifically because it encourages kids to push away those red flags and makes them think they’re normal, which opens them up to abuse, that’s what grooming is. Even if Adam, a child at the time, asked to be sent the underwear, COLLEEN the ADULT should have been able to know that is very inappropriate and as the ADULT she should have said no. Again it was her job as the ADULT to be the one to know that's not okay and crossing boundaries.

After I graduated from highschool, I spent several years going to university and working a minimum wage job part time. A bunch of my coworkers were still in highschool. They were nice kids, but in no way did I see them as peers or treat them as such. The older I got, the younger they seemed. I can’t fathom the way Colleen behaved. I wouldn’t have acted like that at 20, let alone any age beyond that. Her actions are so far outside normal adult behaviour it’s bizarre.
I really wonder how she treats her kids and how she’ll act as they get older. She could do even more harm as a parent than as a social media figure. I don’t have a lot of hope that she’ll fundamentally change, given how long and extensively she’s been a trash person.
THIS. Even just attending my first semester of college, I noticed a major difference between me and my friends that were grades under me in high school. I would try to talk and vibe with them, but they were so wrapped up in what I then thought, was total nonsense compared to "being an adult" in college/working part-time.
I actually am in college & working a kitchen job at a retirement home. A number of my coworkers are still in High School, and we’re just all there to get some extra money for the most part. Sure, we engage in some small talk here and there for some socialization, but I think it’s important to keep in mind that this situation with Colleen is definitely an extreme. Hell, I’d immediately put an older coworker on blast if I ever heard them behaving this way towards minors.
@@rnpee hey this isn’t super relevant to the topic but. omg i worked in a retirement home kitchen when i was in high school! it was the hardest job i’ve ever done. depressing and miserable, especially bc i had to work in both the normal restaurant/dining room and the assisted living ward. sometimes i would go hide in the walk in freezer and just cry. had to deal with so much shit (sometimes literal shit) for only $8 an hour with no tips. 😭 i hope that u are getting paid well and that working there is a pleasant experience for you !

I might not be a fan of Adam Mcyntire or his style of content, but I sat down and watched his WHOLE video... Man, that was some shit. Seeing him unedited, not trying to be camera ready, just his raw emotions was really powerful and made me respect him and his voice in this situation.

As a teenager, I had someone (a significantly older woman) treat me in almost precisely the same way as the young man described in his video. I endured countless years of hospitalisation, tube feeding, refeeding, therapy and serious endangerment of death for decades. I am now over 50 years of age and it still affects my life.
My daughter loved Miranda sings. She even went as her for Halloween one year. This is just horrible. She should have definitely known better. One slip, or "mistake" would be one thing, but she did WAY more.

While I do agree that for the most part these influencers get away too easily with their behavior I wouldn't necessarily say there's no long-term effects at all. Shane Dawson, James Charles, and Jeffree Star may still get views and make money off of RUclips but they're not nearly as relevant as they once were. They don't even get half of the views they once got. I remember when they were on top of RUclips and now I rarely hear about them.
They will never recover from that in the sense they will never be as loved as they once were. If anything the same will definitely happen to Colleen at least if not more hopefully. Honestly it seems like at this point she's just going to stop posting all together... we'll see. I'm waiting.

I noticed that she would use those props to touch those children's bodies, specifically their chest and vagina. The girl dressed as Miranda in your first referenced clip was clearly uncomfortable immediately after collen, looking right at the area, placed the knife on the child's vulva and drug it downward from there. When collen moves the knife toward her agin she immediately folds her hands over her groin area as if to protect herself.... she also taps the girls chest with knife. And the other child's chest with that horn. when you view these actions along with her history of grooming its clear colleen is indeed predatory.

@@BlackLabsLikeRuleDog i got a job as a teacher (still am a student, but can apply after a certain year) in my old school. the problem is, there are some kids who i've been friends with since my own school years. they're on their last classes now, just a couple of years or less before they'll graduate, and i still need to set new boundaries which haven't been used while we were just school friends. this is difficult but achievable.
What I'm getting from all this is that she's emotionally immature and/or an attention seeker, more than her being an entertainer would excuse. Couple that with her edgy theater kid humor, being inappropriate for a laugh, and this happens. She had to grow up at some point and maybe this... no, wait. Her apology song shows she hasn't grown since the last time this happened. Time will tell if she'll grow THIS time, but it might be too little too late.
