The Lord of the Rings Music - The Fellowship

- Music from the film The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Beautiful soundtrack to a great movie. Composed by Howard Shore. This music takes place towards the end of the film around the time when Sam chases after Frodo as Frodo sails away to journey to Mordor alone. Sam begins to drown, as he can't swim, but Frodo saves him. This song really brings out the friendship of this scene - and a large part of the power behind it is the music.
Gimli: I never thought I'd die fighting side by side with an elf.
Legolas: How about side by side with a friend?
Gimli: Aye. I could do that.
😇
🥲
And goes to aragon...
Legolas :(
And That still only counts as one!
Wholesome

Sam's Speech - Worth Fighting For
Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.
Sam: I know.
It's all wrong
By rights, we shouldn't even be here.
But we are.
It's like in the great stories Mr. Frodo.
The ones that really mattered.
Full of darkness and danger they were,
and sometimes you didn't want to know the end.
Because how could the end be happy.
How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad happened.
But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow.
Even darkness must pass.
A new day will come.
And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.
Those were the stories that stayed with you.
That meant something.
Even if you were too small to understand why.
But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand.
I know now.
Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t.
Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding on to, Sam?
Sam: That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.
I almost cried
That's in the second movie
That speech still makes me cry even when reading it, shit.
The exact music passage of the quote in the film played when I read it :D
Going back to these movies now that I’m older, my god the speeches and quotes have more meaning to me now. I understand much more now take the very speech u just quoted from Sam. As a kid i liked the scene due to the action seen but now that i actually listen to the words and comprehend it, its beautiful. This trilogy is just spectacular
3:39 It will forever give me chills till the end of all things
It's adopted from Sibelius' third symphony: ruclips.net/video/wg5-lNMgq6c/видео.html, starting at 9:10

Now listen to the ring goes south
I love the version of this part that sounds while the trinity Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli are running in the second movie.
"we will not abandon merry and pippin to torment and death. Now while we have strength left. Leave all that can be spared behind. We travel light. Lets hunt some orc."
"YESSSSSSS"
This music feels like coming home to old friends.
Oh yes
That’s the best way to describe the series
"Well, I'm back..."
Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us

:')
In the film was it supposed to be funny? I'm not too sure.
End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.
PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what?
GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.
No, no isn't it
That scene makes me cry lol

It is time, Frodo 😭
J.R.R Tolkien truly appreciated real "Fellowship." He had deep bonds with three beloved friends at school. However, in WWI two died, one was mentally incapacitated & he himself was in a unconcious state for weeks. "Deal ye one with another with the utmost love and harmony, with friendliness and fellowship… This goal excelleth every other goal, and this aspiration is the monarch of all aspirations." ~ Baha'u'llah, Baha'i Faith
I made a Promise Mr Frodo , A promise...
I can't carry it for you... but I can carry you!
+blueshit199
It is my burden. Not yours.
lol
Don't you lose him, Samwise Gamgee!
Gimli- Then it has all been in vain. The Fellowship has failed.
Aragorn- Not if we hold true to each other. We will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death. Not while we have strength left! Leave all that can be spared behind, we travel light, Let's hunt some orc!
Gimli- YES! HA-HA!
I really do think they should show this trilogy in the cinemas again because there's a whole generation missing out on that experience.
Well that's going to happen this summer :) the movies are coming back
@@FlawlessEmpyrean I'm going in a couple of weeks, 12 hours of magic ✨😊
Hope you get to see it too!
This trilogy is perfect in every way a movie production can be. The music is moving, the scenery is magical, the props and costuming are exquisite and I simply cannot imagine any other actors being cast for the characters. And it's based on the foundation stone of the western fantasy genre.
Tis’ sacred
I'm homesick for the Shire... a world that doesn't even exist ;-; You know when you get that ache in your chest and you get all choked up? That's how I feel when I listen to 2:10...

The word for that is hiraeth, and yes... yes i do

Omg this is EXACTLY what I get listening to that part 😢
I never could mary someone who disliked this music.
But can you Pippin?
+Dormammu No, I can't.
AMEN
Well the Nazgul, the Dark Lord, and a few Orc Leaders Disliked that. And maybe some goblins. They do not know anything about feelings so it is normal for them to dislike !
You must learn, young padawan, that not all creatures are meant the same. In fact, us creatures are very different, in many ways. You must look past these grievances.... and see the light.
3:39 God bless high fantasy. May it never falter in its pureity, and may it continue to inspire, and comfort those who seek it.
“I’m glad you’re here with me, at the end of all things, Sam”

Asianmattdog I recently saw the Two Towers and the Return of the King after some years and the feeling I got post the completion was unexplainable. Makes you feel home sick and yearn for more. What an amazing trilogy.
i still do.
3:27 "Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the Age of Men comes crashing down, but it is not this day!
This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!" _ King Aragorn II Elessar
I cant even NOT cry listening to this. This is emotionally powerful and hits my nostalgia harder than any music from any other fantasy or sci fi piece. I can sit through this trilogy every weekend (the EXTENDED versions) and STILL look forward to it every week
Whooa.
Would get boring though.
Such amazing music. My favourite trilogy of all time. Some people say harry potter is better, but I beg to differ for many years to come....
Same here, may Tolkien live on in our hearts for all of eternity :)
Im both an LOTR and HP fan. LOTR is better. Tolkien's lifetime was dedicated to the Middle-Earth, he lived and breathed the writing of it. Tolkien's writing has more depth and backdrop and history to it. Yes, HP is a glimpse into another world, but it is only one glimpse in 7 books (and 3 hogwart's textbooks). Whilst we can see not only the War of the Ring in LOTR, but a treasure trove of legends and history on Middle-Earth in most of Tolkien's several writings. Not just 11 books, but much more than that.
Lord of the Rings is the best I would say, I know it's a matter of opinion, but Harry Potter is more kids/Family friendly, I've always felt.. not a bad thing per se, but Lord of The Rings is more my taste!
hagglefaen Harry Potter is actually quite dark once the series progress, sure the first two are a bit kiddish, but once you read the other books or seen the movies, like Goblet of Fire to Deathly Hallows, you might think again.
+Scarlett Savage And the HP books were even darker than that! After 4th movie, when David fucking Yates took over, it all went to shit compared to the books. x(
“A wizard is never early,
Nor is he late, he arrives precisely when he means to”
This is pure Love. I feel such bliss when i listen to theese soundtracks, they express so much purity and the elve's songs are literary divine!
I have a dream, that those of us, who love this beauty, who want to fight for the good we believe in, who feel all this magic, would make a village, of our own. We would have our own church, in which only songs like "gandalf falls" would be sang, and we would only focus on our divine nature, our soul's expression, wich is Love.
We would live our lives in peace, naturally, away from society's greed, and stress, and its meaningless goals. We would just.. live. Life as it has to be, at its fullest, aware of how wonderful it is, until our souls would pass into the white shores.
I'll always dream of this! :)
oh my brother, i cannot describe the feeling your words gave me
This is the most true thing I've ever read, people blame the way I see the world on depression and such but if anything I feel my mind is more clearer than anyone's, people say you should strive to succeed in life through getting a job, oh yeah so my success is determined by how much money I can give to a government that doesn't give a crap about me. NO THANK YOU! ! Yes of course I have a job and I have to work to survive but my success will be determined through the acts of kindness and courage that I show to others throughout my life, and if I ever have kids . Teaching them the value of friendship, loyalty and honour as is displayed in these movies
Me too

All these movies, yes including the hobbit, I don't consider movies...
I consider them windows, windows into a world that we've all seen before, but never knew how to describe, a world of wonder, love, beauty, and fear. A world where anything is possible, as long as you know its there, a world where the smallest man or woman can change it, that world, is our dreams. Everyone says the wish they could visit the world of middle earth, but the fact is, we've already been there, you just didn't realize it, and someday, you will be there, and you'll have plenty of time to realize it.
this masterpiece, this is legendary cinema writing, it will be forever remembered, cherished, and loved
