Thank you FEATR for featuring this kind of stories, foods, and heritage of Filipino delicacies. Hoping this kind of cookies will not die and can still bring smiles to the future generation.
i'm a silent viewer of FEATR. Thankyou so much FEATR sa mga ganitong content. Nakakatuwa, Nakakaiyak at Nakakainspire!
This is why heirloom receipes are more than just food. It's a story and history of the people especially families who took care of their receipies and the traditions that they infused with the food they make. Good food isnt made with good ingredients alone but with the love of the people in making each dish special.
Oh my these brings back lots of sweet memories! Lengua de gato is a favorite along with Ronquillos, turrones de kasoy, apas, uraro, paborita, pacencia, otap, ugoy ugoy, camachile, broas, biscocho, alfajor, puto seko, galletas, pilipit, sanikulas, meringue and so many more. We buy these in tin cans in soecialty bakeshops wala pa mga pasalubong shops noon. Luzon pa lang yan. This got me craving big time. I so appreciate your docu vlogs (tama ba tawag) about these things that should be preserved.
Nakakatouch kwento nila. Pagsisikap at kasipagan. You can't go wrong with those two. Thank you FEATR for this documentary, it's more than just a showcasing of filipino heirloom, it's memories visualized. Please don't stop featuring forgotten recipes or dishes from different parts of the philippines. WE NEED TO KEEP THEM ALIVE. we're here to support you guys! Thank you so much for this.
Ang nostalgic naman. Favorite ko ang Barquillos. Lagi kong hinahanap sa isang grocery sa amin after school. Little did I know that it originated from Bulacan. Also, a very heart-warming story of Aling Liling’s Minasa indeed. Super appreciate the production behind Bulacan’s well-known treats! Amazing work, FEATR 🎀 👏🏼
Oh, we still eat these cookies all the time... My Aunts aged 92 and 82 are extremely fond of them - especially Minasa since they were their "childhood cookies". I, on the other hand, love Barquillos. And it goes so well with ice cream, too!
hindi nalang pala ako ang poor pero pinalaking disney princess (and I am proud and thankful to my parents for that) tumanda at may pamilya nadin ako ngayon pero helpless po talga ako sa kusina, hanggang prito at pakulo ng itlog palang alam ko lutuin because my parents have always been with me. Pero so far, nadidiskartehan naman ang everyday life hehe
This brings back memories😢. College life, ilang dekada na nkalipas. RIP my dear Inang❤
Such a beautiful story.

To do great things is to put your heart in it.

I first tasted lengua de gato and barquillos in Cebu since taga doon ang parents ko. Madalas yan pinapasalubong together with puto seco and piyaya. Missed these cookies.
Nakakaiyak.
Karamihan ng mga lengua de gato na natry ko particularly from baguio tasted meh, you can't even taste the butter, parang regular na cookies lang. But I remember I tried one na sobrang buttery and rich, na I even thought it was imported. But still the best langue de chat I've tried is from Japan, the one with white chocolate or matcha chocolate sandwiched between.
