Both games were made by a shovelware company. Basically all of their budget is in marketing, with very few left for the actual game.
This game is miles better than the first
By the way, the Switch port is very unoptimized and has a lower frame rate, worse graphics, and way longer load times than any other version.

Legal issues.
Legal issues with foreign distributors. Nick notably didn't distribute FOP outside of the US. Nelvana got Canada and Jetix got, most everywhere else.

Well they're hardly abandoned if they're here. You'd rather they rehash them all to death like every other franchise does?
Reminder that during one of the early meetings with Nick executives, they deliberately told us not to add the other two turtles so people would buy NASB1 if they wanted to play as them and increase sales for that game. They also let us know not to show the character select screens in any trailers so people wouldn't know that we're planning on adding old characters as paid DLC (not even all of them mind you). Also do not count on Timmy ever being added.

It's not Nicktoons unite but it's close enough.
All I want to say is if this installment doesn't have every returning fighter in it then I hope a 3rd one comes out and it has every returning fighter from 1 and 2 in it and maybe even more newcomers, I understand it's not near and it's down the road if there is a plan but for this game there are people missing
From what I've heard a lot of it is intentional capping from Nickelodeon themselves (Like how they only allow some franchises a set amount like Danny Phantom only is allowed two fighters)
It's a shame and kinda sucks especially given the cuts in this game hardly make sense
Who knows, but some people that hit like on my comment agree with me. There are cool things we want to see or perhaps something new cool created but I am going to enjoy this game anyway

If it was DLC for the first one I’d buy it. As a brand new game alongside other full price titles, no way. This looks like what the first game should have been.

@@KyrosnoProductions People cried foul for those too, you know. And even then, most of the cut characters were clones. Don't defend this nonsense.
The game has a ton of potential, but do NOT get the switch version, I did for easy GameCube controller support but I didn’t realize the game is capped at 30 FPS while other versions run at 60. A difference like that makes a huge impact on a fighting game, and should absolutely be patched to run at 60, even if it looks terrible. I’d take smoother gameplay over better graphics any day.
smash ultimate tried too hard to look good and ended up with a native 5 frame delay, i would absolutely take smoother play over graphics

If they want these to start selling and feel less like license budget games, they really need to start picking better music for these trailers. Feel like I'm watching a '90s commercial.

The problem is it feels less like an intentional decision and more like game mill pulled a random stock music track from their library
A quick 10 second google search reveals tons of articles talking about how well the first game sold and how many millions of dollars they made from it. By what standard are you claiming they aren't selling?

Game play is fun, including the father time ghost to explain game mechanics is both interesting, and frustrating, but at least on the switch and in story mode, load times are long and prone to freezing, you'll know it has when the level music replaces the map music but the character load screen stays up, and Gir's voice is too deep, like almost scary deep.
All in all it's really fun and I love the greater number of character outfits(though I bought the bundle so that might be DLC, and I don'tknow why they didn't include fire nation disguise anng), but you might want to wait to see if they can fix it up in an update, or consider getting it on another console if these are just Switch issues, but if you'relike me and really wanted it for the switch, I will mention that when I've had to restart the game due to it freezing I did not lose any progress.

This would be more of a buy for me if it wasn't another one of those BS code in boxes types of physical releases. This has no excuse of being one especially when thr first title was capable of being put in a single cartridge even after the Ultimate Edition came out later on!
