The webinar was very informative, and it did give me an update about the importance to protect the information and follow with the regulations as well.
I want a comprehensive law that essentially gives you back control over all the information in your life. From your DNA and medical records to your browsing and purchasing history to your conversation and call history and so on. Something that comprehensive would likely need to be a full on amendment though, so not gonna happen anytime soon. I might be getting a job soon at a company that takes recorded audio and uses it to target and improve advertisements. I'd be in DLP, so slightly less ignoble than the ones using the data they 'acquired' from you to make better ads and more profit. I'd be protecting your data from being 'acquired' by others. Thanks for making these videos, it's helpful to brush up on HIPAA and other data privacy laws for the 2nd round of interviews.
My employer is trying to coerce my consent to release my COVID-19 test results. I do not consent to volunteering my protected health information to the government. I told them to use 45 CFR 164.512 (j) to get my information without my consent and then to compensate me for that information according to the 5th amendment of the US Constitution.
I had a doctors office call me with a lab report. When I would ask a question all she could say was that she didn't know, but it isn't cancer. I asked her to mail me a copy of the report. She said she had to have a signed consent form. I don't think she has to have one to send it to me. Was she right?
