Today on CGOD VLOGS, we're going to be installing a pair of #BlackMagic #Lowrider extended ball joints on my 1979 #Chevrolet #Caprice Aero Coupe. Enjoy!
Your cylinders are not seated in the cup all the way that’s why it looked so sketchy lol. There’s a bolt that goes in there to make sure they stay in place. Great video my guy!!
Yessir! I’d like to help everyone else as much as possible. How many times have you been trying to do something new and you go to RUclips to find a video on how to do it!
@@CGOD Everytime I'm working on something! That's how i took the 307 motor out of a 1984 Oldsmobile 98 and put it in my 86 cutlass supreme by myself and have never messed with a motor in my life!
@@JuarezDerrick anytime I’m trying something for the first time I always check to see if there’s a video on it. If not then that usually means you’re doing something innovative
@@thegoodlifemia lots of people are scared that they’ll break but mainly you just can’t lay out low. Puts the bolt at too much of an angle and will snap it
@@CGOD yeah i have other worries about them, like the change in camber mainly since i already have a arms extended 2 inches gonna prob give me too much tuck with those on there. might just go with the "stock" sized ones.
So far it’s been fine. What I’m thinking is flipping the bolts around to where the nut is on top. The stronger part of the bolt will be at the shear point
@@CGOD yes but a full stack would make that spring less compressed so it doesn’t look like it’s about to pop out. I have heard of that happening. I’m about to order 2-3in ones for my Lincoln
@@HighSociety252 but then the car wouldn’t lay as low either. Right now the springs are a proper size I can lock it up and lay it out without putting too much stress on the balljoints
So far they’ve been good, I removed one just to check it out and it looked fine. If they break it’s because the uniball only has so much travel, you have to have the right size arms and can’t lay the car out too low or it’ll max out that uniball and snap the bolt.
So far I been hoppin it a bit and the only issue is I broke one of the little bolts that hold the balljoint in. I plan to chain up the front eventually
What’s up bro thinking about adding these on my ride I know this video is a year old want to know if there still putting in work or how long did they last or did u replace them already
They’re still on there, lay and play was fine. I put 8 batteries to the front pump and started hopping it for a few months. Finally popped a bolt about a week ago, just replaced it with another bolt. Easy money
@@toketnp I’ve seen a lot of people 3 wheel on them, my car needs a slip yoke to 3 wheel so I haven’t yet, I’m sure hopping is more stressful through so I think they’d be fine
Dude sounds like Ms. Parker. Hey boys! Haha
Yallready know!
Looks beautiful

Yeah the driver side had a bolt already, I have since put one in the passenger side too lol
I love that you answer everyone's questions homie cuz some of us are wondering the same things and all we have to do is read the comments 💪

No problem! Thanks for watching!
@@CGOD been searching for a video on these aint too many out there honestly.

Just got a set of 2"from hoppos and just put one side one so far hop they last lol 4" look sketchy tho 😮 sicc ass ride tho

How do you like the 2 inch hoppos ones @alexadame1308 ? I am about to pull the trigger on some for my cutty.
throw a full stack of red sky high coils and call it a day
Not really looking to hop, mainly just a lay and play setup

Has the bolt broke ?
Ived had problems with them ….. went back to regular ball joints

My uniballs are maxing out right now when locked up and laid out lol if my springs were any shorter it would snap the bolt for sure
How did u get the hydraulic cable from the trunk, to the bottom of the seat?
It’s ran underneath the carpet
Get them spindles loco it’ll be a lot better bro.
So far I been hoppin it a bit and the only issue is I broke one of the little bolts that hold the balljoint in. I plan to chain up the front eventually
What size cylinders are you running on the rear
I’m not for sure but I think 16” or 18”

Coo thanks for info
@@toketnp yessir! I wanna say also that It broke due to my own error on hitting the switch. So as long as you’re nice to it it’ll be nice to you
@@CGOD that’s what I heard that hitting. The switches is a risk on these but how about three will you think that’s safe and they can handle it?

Does it change your toe ? Alignment?
It probably does a little bit, anytime the suspension moves up or down it’ll change your alignment
Where’d you get your grill for your 79?
It’s meant for an 80’s model Caprice so it doesn’t fit perfect
did you fix the problems with the balljoints?
Yeah it’s been all good ever since installing them
@@CGOD no issues up or down?
@@danchmelyk3811 nope it’s been working good
@@CGOD did you change anything
Just get extended spindles
STOP SAYING BOYS
Force of habit!
