This Video has save me money. The store I purchased asked $ 250 for conversion and installation. A friend asked me $150. I came home and watched this Video. I was able to convert whirlpool gas stove to propane. It is working great. Thank repair clinic

I need this video last night. Becuz my mother just received a new gas stove that was on backorder for 3wks. Aslo she can control the gas until u change the orifices. Very helpful video..U are the Goat!
Thanks. This video saved me time and money. The directions were clear and easy to follow. One point to add, when removing the oven burner tube, the mounting screw on my oven was tight and difficult to get enough torque with the screwdriver, so be patient and don't strip the screw.

Thanks for this video. It was pretty simple and makes me wonder how a repair person can charge $200 to $250. As it turned out, the range came with the propane orifices so I was done in less than an hour. But the range didn't come with a broiler pan so I'll buy the from you folks when I get to that phase in moving in to my new place.
I had my doubts, but shame on me. Excellent video and a big help. Thanks!

Are these directions the exact same in reverse for converting from LP to Natural Gas? Are there any additional steps?
Do you have a video on how to change from lp to natural? We just bought a stove and can't figure out how to switch back to natural. Help is needed
The oven conversion in the 2020 model is slightly different. There is no longer a blue part in the regulator cap to reverse. The part is all brass marked with "LP" (Liquid Propane) and "NG" (Natural Gas). Consult the manual for this part.

What do I do if an orifice won't tighten down?
Hi, i have a new whirlpool gas range, but i did not get a manual w it, it was a floor model. I am not able to correlate, where the LP orifices go, when i remove the Natural gas ones. The natural gas ones are not marked at all
I got a manual for mine however it was of little use. The NG tips had numbers that in the French portion of the manual actually translated to BTU's of the burners. Biggest burner was easy, biggest hole, smallest (2) burners were easy, smallest holes. Had a pack of 6 tips, (only 5 needed as 5 burners) however I had 3 left over and only two burners. No way to tell for sure if the medium burner was bigger or smaller than the oval center burner. Used the French chart and guessed, ended up installing 1 of the 2 greens in medium round burner and the black in the center oval burner. So far, so good as all appear correct. Whirlpool's manual are definitely not written by English speaking Americans as when one has to attempt to translate French to figure out what goes where. Needless to say the big USA sticker on the door is a joke. The manual clearly stated in French burner 5 was 7,300 BTU's and needed the black however no where in the manual was a diagram showing which burner was burner 5. The medium round apparently is a 9,000 BTU burner based on trial and error using the green tip leaving a spare green left over.
Can the natural gas orifice be adjusted if the flames are too large?
The orifice device is just a nut with a hole through the middle; it cannot be adjusted. However, depending on your stove model, you should be able to adjust flame height/intensity by 1) turning on burner and setting the burner control knob to lowest position (simmer); then 2) remove/pull off the burner handle/knob and insert an appropriate size Allen key (hex wrench) into the channel in the center of the burner control assembly to engage the control socket. If you're using the correct size wrench you will be able to easily adjust the flame height. Recommend setting it to the lowest flame (since you should already be on "simmer" position).

Wow! I just purchased a Whirlpool range from Lowe's and b/c they are terrified of litigation, their delivery people are honest in admitting they're not much more than furniture deliverers. I called my gas supplier, Suburban propane, and they said they 'd be happy to send someone out in a week for $200.00 to replace 5 or 6 orifices for the conversion. Really? When I was still working, it took me 2 days to make $200 gross and they expect me to pay $200. Net for less than an hours drive and wrench turning?

Are you using TAPE inside of the nut driver? Brass doesn't stick to a magnetized tip. Also you didn't use a sealant on the orifices which I know for a fact that you have to do. You video isn't accurate and you are misleading people.
You don't have to use sealant with the brass..it's soft enough to seal..
