Oh man unfortunately Entertainment Weekly has sadly been discontinued. I had a subscription towards the end of its run. Like the last year of it it would be monthly instead of weekly but still called Weekly. I feel like watching The Net now would be a fun watch filled with charm, I know dated but it's probably fun.
Jurassic World Rebirth is the name, but it doesn’t scream excitement. Yeah, I never liked any of the films, including the first Jurassic World. People online complain about the Star Wars sequels, but I think the Jurassic Park franchise should have ended with the first “They Didn’t Stop To Think If They Should.” Collateral is a great film, 20 years old. I’ve always said that nobody captures L.A. at night like Michael Mann. 😊
What else could they do to make it more interesting though? I’ll be positive; I liked the idea of Jurassic World but the human characters just do questionable things, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, I enjoyed the chase through the mansion because the fun of these movies is being in your mind in the character’s shoes, that’s how I see them, and then Dominion, the chase scene in Malta was fun, that’s because Malta is becoming one of my favorite countries for film.
And child characters to stand for the characters. Tim and Lex in the original worked because they represented the young audience who saw it, I imagine.
Never seen The Net but I have a feeling it would be pretty fun, sort of the more straight-laced less-fantastical Johnny Mnemonic playing fast and loose with computer lingo in a time when scriptwriters just threw out terms like 'bytes' and 'RAM' without any conception of what they actually meant. Even though JW is solid fun, the second movie really soured me on the whole idea of the sequel trilogy. It's truly an awful film imo...so I never saw the third one and I never wanted to go back to this one as a result. But Collateral still sits in my brain as a memorable viewing. Definitely gotta give it to that one.
@@hexyearhexyear wow, that’s a great way to describe the Net. Just a different version of Johnny Mnemonic. Which is awesome because of the Keanu/Sandra connection. That’s great! Fully agree with you on JW2. Sad how much the franchise fell
Hello hello, nice to be here watching your videos again! I personally haven’t watched any of these movies but they all seem great 👍🏻
@@JEvans2011 thanks for returning! Welcome back!

@@dudewholovesmovies I love that Dennis Miller is in it. Such a strange fit! Thanks for watching dude!
Defo Collateral first.
Net I always struggled with when it released.
@@ajsmovieplace yeah, the net has a lot of issues. And especially now that’s it’s so extremely dated.

@@angelcastaneda529 yeah, even though I like The Lost World and JW1. The best case scenario would’ve been to only have the first film.

@@angelcastaneda529 more dimensional characters, or a very wise scientist in the cast would’ve helped.

@@angelcastaneda529 very needed! I think that’s why the Fantastic Beast franchise has failed. None of it is from a child’s eyes.
1) Collateral- Tom Cruise was very intimidating
2) The Net- pretty dated but still kind of entertaining
3) Jurassic World- have no desire to see it
@@davidhollingsworth4665 yeah! Tom as a villain is incredibly intimidating
