      In developed nations of the world, universities are the bedrock of technological, engineering and scientific innovations for industry and development and not just human resources. Unfortunately, over the years our universities have not lived up to these expectations. We do not see cutting edge innovations coming from our universities to radically change some of our traditional way of life and work. Successful research projects and programmes at masters and PhD levels (dare I say, some graduate levels) should translate into viable businesses to benefit tax payers and the nation at large.
      We need the universities not just to exist by name, but to be leaders of change, be it technology, science, engineering, architecture or politics.

      Education will give the people of Ghana more creative ideas for invention which will in turn create industries which will create jobs for the youth and people of Ghana, just as Britain, USA, Europe, Japan, South Korea etc. all with no natural resources yet developed to advance levels. Education is what made the big difference in the lives of the developed world.

    One thing I have come to realise is that no matter all the good things you do in this world, if someone hates you, they really hate you with passion.
    No matter all the good things Nana Addo is doing which no president has done before, some of these people will always hate him because of tribalism but I will like to be emphatically with you that until you change your mind set and let's live like a lovely family, you will always come to power with a coup d'etat.
    If I become a president, I will arrange a referendum to leberate all those voltarians who want to defect to Togo land due to their high voltage of 100 million megawatts in their heads and when they touched and become myopic, all what they think and say is nonsense, I will let them go, lay back and see if they will be welcome at the other side.

      It's not easy living in America.There is much hunger.A lot of people can't afford some basic things.In America only 5% have money.95% of the population live paycheck to paycheck.Ghanaians should learn to be thankful to God.Complaining is not going to lead anyone anywhere.A lot of Ghanaians are doing work here in America that they will never do in Ghana.I agree with you Michael.

    This is all because he and his NPP hate anything associated with Kwame Nkrumah. Ghana already has a University of Science and Technology which is woefully resourced. I never used a computer when I was doing my first degree there. In years to come, thus University will produce inadequately trained engineers just like what the country is currently churning out of KNUST. Instead he should use the funds to enhance the existing KNUST to bring t to international research standards. It doesn't even help that he is doing this in his own region.

    • @philtymcnasty9994
      @philtymcnasty9994 2 года назад +1

      Listen, there is nothing wrong in getting more of Engineering universities in the country. It has nothing to do with Kwame Nkrumah. Talking of hatred, have you looked into the mirror recently. What you wrote there passes for hatred. Comot oga.

      @@philtymcnasty9994 Thanks for your response, but do you know how many engineers we produce already who don't have any impact on our development? Better to bring what we have up to standards than have mushroom universities dotted around. The truth hurts, abi.

      As a third world university, it is going to take us a long time to make things more practical. But in any case, I know graduates from some KNUST doing very well in USA, Canada etc.Half a loaf is better than none.

    • @kenmel7035
      @kenmel7035 2 года назад

      Exactly, we put up structures without the necessary equipment, no engineer from a Ghana University will be directly employed in any first world without a touch up studies. This is because we lack well resourced labs for studies. Look at our hospitals, same problem sometimes lab samples have to be taken to South Africa before they can be worked on. As you said he needed to resource the existing one but because of party politics no.

      @@georgeeguakun8047 but why blame the President for everything?
      I thought every region or constituent have a representative.
      Why don't Ghanaians blame their representatives instead of the President? In Ghana, the problem is not the President but the mindset of people.Ghanaian mindset is way different compared to many countries.If Ghanaians don't get rid of their mental slavery, it will take 50 or 💯 years to become economic powerhouse.

    Nana, do something in the Volta Region as well. Enough for discrimination. All people cannot vote for only one party. There must be opposition that's politics. If one wins, he or she puts aside opposition and hence assume as the father of the whole nation, nomatter what happened during and after the election. The leader elected become care taker of the whole nation. Enough is enough. Look at the roads and other infrastructure in the region. Learn from what JJ did during his tenure of office. God is watching

      Don't be silly. Nana Addo gave voltarians free education. Look how most voltarians discriminate against other tribes aka nyebro.
      Ndc has deceived ewes for generations and you still vote overwhelmingly for ndc because of hate and Tribalism. JJ put ewes in charge of all government institutions and ruined Ghana. I worked at scholarship secretariat in the 80s and only ewes were given scholarship with diamond , gold and timber money from other regions.
      Akans are very tolerant or else Ghana would have become like Rwanda so be very very careful with what you wish.
