This was crazy i forgot my batteries and went to the store and got them last night and grabbed a bag of Oreos then I found your video and decided to watch it before I put them in couldn't of been explained any better good job and thanks
Did I like this video? Absolutely. I think you did a great job making it. I especially liked how you handled the jet passing overhead. The Mint Oreo segment was good, too. Seriously, I'm looking to use one of these little water heaters to heat the water in a 77 inch hot tub with a much too small heater. So, thanks to your excellent review, I may have found it. Thanks again and great job.👍
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I got a 7’ stock tank to use as pool/hot tub and another one to use as a bath tub...I’m ready to relax and enjoy 😉 thanks again for your great videos
This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).
I found this works great when I installed it in September. It was in the high 70’s outside. Heated the tub to 100 degrees in 90 minutes! By the time it was cold enough to want to sit in hot water. I ran it for 3 hrs and the water pump overheated and failed. Ult I had to insulate the tank, add the cover and add an immersion heater to get it to heat to 97 from 68 in 4.5 hrs before the pump overheats. I can keep it to 94 for several hours with the immersion heater once it’s hot enough. Also the machine sometimes won’t ignite for no reason and the will start working again. Not super reliable all in all, constant trouble shooting. I’m going to invest in a higher end one that’s hopefully more reliable
Just made a stock tank pool this last week thanks to your other videos. I am excited to see how you're going to use this to make it a hot tub, and hope to see a tutorial soon! Thank you!
Bro I just bought one based on your video! Top info thanks for putting in the time. Excited to have a hot shower was worried about pressure but with mains attached i see it’s pretty darn good! Nice 1 🇬🇧
I'm putting a Rubber Maid 300 hundred gal. stock tank pool together here in the mountains of Colorado with the idea of using a Camplux 5.28 GPM natural gas heater. The temps here in winter can dip into the single digits in the evenings so the insulating of the bottom of the tank as well as the sides, is crucial. The plan is to use a combo of double-layered foil around curved walls with dots of adhesive and follow up with 31/2" of rigid foam built into a 2x4 surround frame which will be sided. The plan is, of course, to keep the ambient temp in the evenings somewhere between 50 to 60 degrees with the hopes that the heater (set on a timer) could bring the temp up to 102 + within a couple of hours. A couple of questions for y'all; Is the heater up for the task, and any feedback on the use of the filter- Xtremepower Us System w/buit in pump. Please any and all pros and cons welcome. Thx, Sid Lewis
This was great, thnx; I would suggest for people to put the yellow tape when connecting the propane tank hose to make extra sure it’s a tight seal on that, so, you don’t have any gas leaks, which could be dangerous; interesting you added tape for the water hose but not the gas hose; I also noticed you didn’t check for gas leaks after installing the gas hose, not good, you want to check that better! I wonder 💭 how long the propane tank lasts, just curious 🧐..? Oh, by the way, that Oreo 🍪 trick you pulled on us, not fair, I had to go out and buy some! 😠 🦃
I bought one of these when my current heater burst from freezing temps while stored. Could not get ours to heat the water more than a few degrees. Possibly because we were at high altitudes. The funny thing is, that our other brand we use works great at altitude. Sent it back and bought the same one I had before. Much better quality, and actually works.
I bought the larger one and had to swap out the shower head that comes with it and attach a garden hose with a garden sprayer to allow enough water flow to keep the propane lit. Not to mention all the upgraded fittings required to do this. Works great! And I bought a small one for camping. Have t had a chance to hook it up yet but bought a water pump and will power it with my Jackery 500. 🤠
Hey bud, love your guides. Just finished installing my build and wanted to let you know the .1hp transfer pump isnt going to cut it for that unit. It just flat out wont kick on, even at the lowest water setting. I went with a 1/4hp combo sump pump and transfer pump from home depot, whisper quiet, and it runs like a champ. Even with that the flow has to stay close to minimal, but it runs amazing. Thanks again for the ideas.
Update on that, the pump from home depot died on me a day or so after that post. I have switched to the SEAFLO 33 series pump, and it has been running like a champ for a couple weeks now with ZERO issues. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076TGWYDK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
One review I saw said you had to adjust all the knobs to the lowest settings each time you started it up. Is that correct, or can you just adjust them once and leave them?
The water pump (tank to heater) is not working properly after only a few hours of work… any ideas? FYI: all my equipment is exactly the same from this video. Thanks 🙏
We bought the 4.2 gpm one from Home Depot about a month ago(almost $400), hooked it up, heard the clicking where it was trying to ignite but it never would. It only clicked 3 times and never again. We did all the troubleshooting suggestions and still wouldn't work. Even bought a new gas tank and new batteries to see if that was the problem. Still nothing. My question for you is, what did you do to get yours to work after it failed to ignite that first time? Is there something else we can try other than what the manual suggested?
In your opinion does it have enough power to heat a inground pool, 20,000 gallon "I know A lot" lol, just looking for the cheapest way to do it. What is it throwing for BTU's per minute.

I’m thinking about one of these I wonder if I could modify it to receive a single 18650 rechargeable. I’d have to look at a schematic to see if the circuit could handle an extra volt.
How did you connect it to the Stock tank to have filtered warm water? Thinking about ordering one and want to make sure warm water can be pumped and filtered directly into the stock tank. Also, how is the unit holding up? Thank you so much for posting this video.
Does the product come with a manual? the manufactures site doesn't offer a pdf manual which discourages me to buy it makes me 2nd guess if the project will have good support or if it will last. Also the warranty is not documented, just a 30 day return and a 90 day if you buy it at walmart. I have the eccotemp now and its been pretty poor. I have a 1/4 hp (1600gpH) submersible pump hooked up to it and its not enough to keep it going. Its a $150 pump and I am not sure if a 1/2 hp pump will even do.. the thing needs over 20psi to stay on. The camplux has a much lower psi level of 2.5psi... in that regard may be better. They also talk about a anti-freezing technology they have built in but don't talk about what it actually does.. its not documented...
How is your heater holding up? I purchased a Gasland heater because it was rated at 3.1 GPM and the pump you recommend in your other video is a 3.3 GPM pump. I was afraid that if my pump was trying to put out more water than the heater could throughput then I would burn out one or the other. I have used the Gasland heater 5 times (about 2 hours each) and the water flow is now greatly restricted (to the point where the pump sounds like it's grinding trying to pump water through it. The pump runs fine when not connected to the heater. Also, the heater is shutting off if I have the water flow set to more than half. Has your Camplux held up for the last year? How many times have you used it? Does it work okay with the 3.3 GPM transfer pump you link in your build video?
I’m also interested in seeing the heater stock tank video if anyone wants to share. Curious how this thing will a. Do with a salt/sand filter from Intex vs chlorine pods b. hold up outside in a winter. Thanks to anyone willing to help out I’ve searched a bit
Can the heater attach directly to the stock pool filtration system or does it need the separate circulation pump added with the components on the setup guide to cycle water in/out?
If the proper PSI is created by your filtration pump you could, but then you are running the water through the whole system every time, even if its off.
@@916markos916 I tried it on my intex purespa.. not even close enough PSI to start the heater on both the eccotemp and camplux heaters. I ended up getting a $20 diaphram pump 12v, and got a 3.5amp 110 v to 12amp volt adapter. It works well.

I just tried doing this with a submersible pump thats 1/4hp.. apparently these don't have much PSI.. I'm shocked b/c they are rated at 1600gpm yet passing through the system I can hold off the water pressure with my thumb.
@@jaylenox6290 is there an anti-scalding shut off feature on the camplux heaters? If so, at what temperature? I want to use this heater to maintain temp at 104F with an inflatable hot tub, but am worried the burner will refuse to turn on if the water going from the hot tub to the heater is 100+F. The specs claim minimum temp rise is 40F which, combined with 100+F water going in, means pretty hot water coming out. Thanks.
Mine doesn't and i have the exact same one in his video i run that bitch for 30 minutes at a time, but if the water is around like 80 degrees it legit takes around half an hour to get to 110 it gets stupid hot stupid fast. I do have a coleman saluspa so as long as its filled and the cover is full its like a pot of boiling water with a lid, it gets stupid fucking hot quick, so in short no it doesnt turn off however you shouldnt need to use it much longer than 20 mins at a time. Quick hint: when filling the tub run a garden hose directly from your nearest sink inside and use the warm water as well as the heater directly from your outside garden hose to fill your tub. My 250 gallon saluspa takes maybe an hour tops to fill up and its already 90+ degrees so getting it to temp like i said is no problem. However huge warning make sure you get a quieter circulation pump than the one linked in the description. His other video diy stock tank hot tub shows him getting a new pump and he also links that. The quiet one is $100 on Amazon but absolutely worth it the super loud ass one is $59 shipped with taxes included and is so loud neither you or your neighbors will be able to think. Good lucl

Thanks.
Does it automatically shut itself off after 20 minutes of use?
Good lucl
D Batteries? You swear this video was made in 2019? LOL!!!
all outdoor water heaters youse 2 d batteries .. they are 1.5v x2 = 3v
What would you prefer? Its designed for campers with no electricity.
DUDE GET RID OF THE AMAZON LINK TO THE EXTREMELY LOUD CIRCULATION PUMP. Replace it with the sea flo quiet pump in your other video
helpful video. Found the music in the back ground irritating & made hearing what you were saying difficult. Thanks !
🙄👍😞
Music makes it stupid. Well, stupidity squared! Not knowing a point source heater doesn't turn on without water flow is the worst.
Oreo cookies are very good, but they are the worst cookie. In the world are not good for you. Taste good, but they are not good for you.
music is annoying
Yes , i agree ✅
Please turn the music off
What is with the stupid music & cookie eating?
