Wonderful explanation.Worldly love and pleasures are temporary and mixed with all types of miseries. The divine path is full of bliss and joy. Yet, the path of divine love is narrow and cannot hold both worldly desires and pure devotion. To attain eternal bliss and divine love, we must sacrifice worldly attachments and ego and keep God only in our hearts.When we detach our mind from the world , it leads to a deeper connection with our Divine Beloved.
While worldly pleasures give lower happiness , association of the mind with God gives higher happiness . If we sacrifice the lower one we will be seated in God and be blessed with the higher pleasure . The more we turn to God , the more we realize that worldly happiness is like a mirage .The mind begins to get detached from the world gradually leading to a state of equanimity where joys will not be overwhelming and sorrows will not be depressing .Once a person reaches that state , he / she will enjoy pure , uninterrupted serenity .
