Auto transmissions have advanced so much, ask Gordon Murray he admitted it on one of his videos
Interior dash looks so different from the GR Corolla. Its so much more boxy. The 2024 Yaris's dashboard is so different from pretty much every single Toyota dashboard I've ever seen.

The new shape does indeed look good in red, however, I would prefer the automatic in pearl white. I will have to wait and see how the raffle goes in May.
To sum up this review. Ooooooo, oooo! oOOOooo, wooooow, oOOOo! 🔥. I personally love the new dash.

You said that the turn in is improved. Is that vs a standard car or comparing it to your GRMN?
Compared to gen 1 GR YARIS. GRMN is a whole another level. But as a previous gen 1 owner, the new gen 2 GR YARIS feels much more agile than previous gen. But I can say previous gen isn’t a bad vehicle its just new ones improved alot.
@@masalovescars I'm sure that given the stiffer anti roll bars as well as the stiffer Suspension the turn in must be improved by quite a bit. Your GRMN feeling more agile yet does imply that this is not an inherent problem with the suspension layout and geometry of the Gen 1 but probably down to the choices made concerning the suspension components. Which would then in turn mean that a proper suspension setup on a MK1 would improve that by quite a bit.
That's of cours ignoring the extra adhesive as well as the extra stitch welds on the GRMN.

What’s up with the dash/center console layout - being so square. Looks a McIntosh desktop for a center console.

@@masalovescars - yes of course! Cherish that type of design. Then one day the bean-counters forced designers to make it “flat” and symmetrical to save on cost in making the cockpit for left/right hand drive markets. But to make it so square might be another way of the bean-counters winning

He has a GRMN, not a standard gen 1 GR Yaris
@@Joshkroehn he owns or at least did own the standard model as well. That said the GRMN is is only an incremental improvement over the standard model and I’d go as far to say that the GRMN is still not as good as the second gen Yaris
@@IamMotionMedia I own a 2020 gen 1 and can tell you the changes they made with the GRMN were substantial, and they would have to make for a very different driving experience to the standard gen 1. I’ll be trading mine in for a gen 2 for sure, but not sure I’d trade a GRMN for one. Each to their own I guess.
