@@benhardcastle2305you're going to want to find a course or practice facility when it's not busy and either get permission or just risk it and hit 10 plus shots from every distance in five yard increments from 20 yards all the way back to 150 yards into a real green on a mostly flat hole and figure out which clubs go each distance, also making sure to incorporate half swing and 3/4 swings of different clubs that you can keep low for playing into the wind. Do this at least two times a week to adjust for changes in your swing and eventually you will have a club and a swing for every distance on your approach shots. **Do not forget to fix your ball marks on the green** **make sure to use balls you will play in regular rounds** ** make sure you play the same ball you practiced your distance with even if the balls are cheap** ** don't change balls often**

Id say there are a few takes from this:
    1) Its all about 150 yards and in.....Yes and No. At professional level, youre playing courses that are regularly 7500 yards long. Power is huge, not just in terms of getting those 315 yard + drives out there, but also for being able to hit it high and soft, hit from thick rough etc. So if you dont have a CERTAIN AMOUNT of power, you cant compete. Irrespective of your 150 yards and in game.
    2) Driving Ranges..... You need to build a good, repeatable swing. beyond the point of having that solid repeatable swing, it takes an enormous amount of effort to see improvement in the long game, and improvement in the short game has a much faster immediate effect on scores. So id agree with John Daly that a LOT of the time, amateurs are not practicing anything useful on the driving range that will help them SCORE better on the course.
    3) Golf practice for amateurs.....Yeah, its not as easy as just going to chip and putt. If youve got a job that takes up almost all your daylight hours, you cant just go chip and putt all the time. The driving range is realistically the only option you have to get golf practice done. The reason you dont improve is not because you cant chip and putt, its that logistically, you cant put enough time into PLAYING GOLF to get better. You can never be on the course enough.

Lol - all the Bob haters … he’s a savage ..keeps the whole thing funny … the podcasts will be boring as fuck without guys like bob ..bobbing up in them .. the other two …🥱 I do t see why they say popular … great guests tho .. might find that’s due to guys like - bob mem and Steve !!! Facts
