  • In this video, I show the complete process of designing parts, cutting the parts out on a CNC router, cleaning up the parts, and then assembling the parts to form the project. This video serves as a very detailed tutorial for CNC beginners and those who want to see what is involved in the CNC routing process.

Hey all, Thanks for watching. I hope this will help you in your CNC journey. Other than the showing of the entire process, there are many useful tips along the way. Enjoy!

The extra positions in the router table (darker rounds near the used point), could they be opened slightly and used as a vacuume intake? Im sure it would cut down on the dust, just a thought.

Are you referring to adding holes in the router table to suck up dust? Potentially, but most folks use that area for hold down. Most of the dust/chips are formed and scattered during the first passes which don't go all the way through to the spoil board. With that said, I have very little cleanup with this setup. If you look at some other videos I have made in the past with a flat table (not the angled one I am using now), the dust is pretty much nowhere to be seen.

I noticed here that you are using a mach control board, did you give up with the pokeys57cnc? thanks.

No, I sell that board and make a bunch of electronics for customers with the pokeys57cnc. I personally don't need the features that the pokeys57cnc have for my machine. It would be way overkill.

They are very simple to design. Just three parts with holes aligned and a drill bushing.
