"For a minute there, I thought he threw that £15,000 out the window". What do you take me for, some sort of wally. Never forget that scene, when I first saw it, had me on edge of my scene, saying the same, that money didn't just go over that balcony, I was in shock, great scene, great episode. Especially when slater , I mean Roy, turned up.
John Sullivan was a comedy genius. Watched it so many times, know every line. "Ajax!" " This spectic isle" " A distant uncle, but, we never talk about him" 😂😂😂😂
If there'd never been an Only Fools and Horses long running sitcom, and this was a stand alone comedy film, it would be in the category of absolute classic in its own right.
GodAlmighty I miss the 80s so much, wish time travel was possible 😢 RUclips will be the closest thing to a time machine to recall yesterday once more 🙏
Yeah I’ve always felt the same about that. It was a genius bit of writing but really wrong! I was really happy for them until Del threw it off the balcony 😂
@@JohnSmith-gp3co I don't know wether you have ever watched Steptoe and Son it's the same with them they always lose I stopped watching it because it really annoys me, do the writers think we hate these characters or something? And we don't like to see them win ever?
@@theculturedthug6609in OFAH they do often win, it’s just very small wins. They got three diamonds which they were gonna sell for 5,6 grand, that’s something at least..
0:52 subtle character moment for Boycie but when he was taking the piss out of Del’s jewellery Delboy tells him his mum gave it to him and to watch it, his smug smile immediately dropped and he simply said oh and left it at that and didn’t go on further about it. As pompous as he is he knows when to show respect
Yes a good spot, very rare for Boycie to show a softer side. Del Boy would have saved himself 15 grand if he’d realised that Boycie was a better mate then he thought In think my he’d pay him with hooky wonga.
I didn’t come about till dec 95 but my parents had me on ofah before could even walk and being and hull lad thru and thru this up there for me as my fave episodes ❤️
When uncle Albert turns up at train station Rodney"dear god" ...leave it out Rodney that's Englands greatest sailer since Nelson lost the amarda, every single ship and vessel he's been on has sung" ...yeah we'll his luck gotta change sometime hahaha
Brilliant episode If ever someone can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory its slater. Hes the football team thats 2-0 up in the 85th min and loses 3-2.
Del being a dodgy dealer surely would have kept that money if he thought it was fake to try & use anyway. Painful & funny at the same time to see him throw it out the window.
One of my favourite feature length episodes. No canned laughter too! I only wish they called it a day after the 6.2 million pound watch episode. The couple of Christmas episodes after that were awful. Brilliant sitcom with fantastic acting and writing. ❤
One of the best, together with Miami Twice. Very often I fell asleep quickly in bed, imagining that I was on that boat at night sailing somewhere in those calm seas. Shame they didn't show how Slater was set up at the end.
The problem with these 'best of' summaries is that they miss out the long setups that John Sullivan often wrote that resulted in a big pay-off. If you don't experience the set-up, the joke often doesn't have the same impact.
The scenes here are all good but for me the funniest bit is when they run from the police but the police are not after them, the other man who we are made to believe is a detective. It was also quite funny when Slater is finally caught at the end and driven into the trap by Hoskins, Hoskins remarks that he is not thinking but just doing his job, from Slater’s remark earlier.
I LOOK EVERY TIME WITH MY MOM AND DAD 😍😍😍😍 THE BEST PARENTS IN THE WORLD!!!!😍😍😍😍💎💎💎💎😙😙😙😙❤❤❤❤THE BEST VIDEO IN HISTORY!!!!! 😍😍😍😍BY FAR!!!!!😍😍😍😍I MUST CRY FROM LAUGHING EVERY TIME 😍😍😍😍😂😂😂😂
Throwing 15 grand out of the window was a bad move. They could have got set up nicely. Del could have bought Rodney a nice car, they could have had a good holiday abroad or they could even have spent some of the money repairing the van's engine.
Knowing that 15k was genuine when Boycie says spoils the show at the end, I think. Had it been fake, it wouldn't have mattered. Regardless of Del being a 24ct plonker after he earlier, he said he can spot real and fake cash a mile off!?
Thing I wen del says he knew that the money he took to Holland was fake wen he 1st see's it because he can spot fake bank notes a mile away, but then throws the legitimate 15k away because he reckons it was fake always confused me 😮
The actors playing the Hull folk (in the full episode) are using a generic Yorkshire accent. Not Hull at all. Hull people really don't talk like that. Hull's brogue is unique and you'll find it funny, annoying or alluring. Lager and larme, narne to farve, Hessle Rode/Rerd. Enough said 😀
The episode that transitioned OFAH from a 30 min sitcom into a national institution. Comedy, drama, story, characters. Take a bow, Mr Sullivan.

£15,000 grand 🤣
I allways cry with laughter when hes on the boat and he sees locals and he just shouts ajax to funny😂😂
😂😅😂 " a very distant cousin, but we never talk about him " 😂😅
Correction, Uncle 😊
One of my favourite episodes. Laugh every time I see it. Not just what is said but the timing and facial expressions too.
John Sullivan was a comedy genius. Watched it so many times, know every line. "Ajax!"

"Bloody foreigner!"

Xmas 85!
Watched it on a betamax video about 25 times before going back to Uni in January!

Jolly boy's outing is the best but this is a close second
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC
Great episode but how they failed to notice a 3 wheel yellow van is beyond me
Yea that confused me to
Or what about the 15 grand which never disappears off the table into Rodneys pocket!
me old April was goin like a moped 🤣
LOL!
Fantastic love this episode 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

2nd favourite episode. Jolly boys outing will never be topped
Sadly missing the chat between Rodney and Trigger in the pub at the start :)
When you watch this again, knowing the credibility of the money, Dell's face and Boyces face makes all the more sense.
Great episode
The best! 😂😂😂😂
imagine you're broke and sitting outside the flats smoking a cig and depressed and suddenly 15 k drops all around you.
