The Pinocchio Pass reminds me of when we took my younger sister on her first Disney trip when she was 4 and she fell in Hollywood Studios, bloodying up her knees pretty bad. She was WAILING.
A janitorial CM was the first to see us and another CM followed on his heels. The second CM looked at her knees and saw all she needed was a wash and a couple bandaids, so she left to fetch a bottle of water, napkins, and some bandaids while the janitorial CM stayed behind and was talking to my sister to distract her and calm her down.
She was still at the hiccuping, sniveling stage of hard crying when the other CM came back and started cleaning her up. The janitorial CM then asked her, "Would some ice cream make it feel better??"
She looked up at him and hiccuped pathetically, _"Uh-huh."_
He left while the other CM finished bandaging her up, and a couple minutes later he came back with a Mickey premium bar. He unwrapped it and held it out to her. "Here you go, princess."
We filed guest compliment forms for both of them.

In 2018 my friend-family and I went to Disneyland for a big trip. One of the 5 of us had never been to Disney so we were all excited to explore and show her everything. Towards the end of one of the days we were there, we decided to get on Radiator Springs Racers. My husband and another friend had Fast passes for Guardians of the Galaxy about an hour after we got on the ride so we thought we had plenty of time to ride the Car's ride and then stroll over to Guardians for a Monsters After Dark ride. Insert ride stop here! It was going great, all 5 of us were in one car and we had another person with us in the 6th space riding with us. We got to the point where Hudson Hornet was giving us tips and a pep talk before the big race when the ride vehicle stopped. At first we thought it was just a short delay, but when Hudson stopped moving and was just staring off into space in front of us, we realized we were going to be there a while. The 6th person was nervous sitting with 5 "adults" (we're basically grown up kids) and they were on the ride alone otherwise. I don't know which one of us started it, but we started "praying" to the Hudson Hornet to please let us pass as we didn't want to miss out on Monsters After Dark. My husband, friends and I would say things like "All Hail the Hudson Hornet, Favored of the Fast Pass, Keeper of the Keys and Surveyor of the Stuck Ride Vehicles. Please permit us passage so we may get our spoop on". This was hilarious for us, but it also helped our 6th person too, because she couldn't contain her laughter and we had a great time goofing around. I was listening to the announcements too, and we were very aware that if any Cast Members had come by to evacuate us we'd listen to them. We started getting a little nervous when we were stuck there for about 45 mins and were dangerously close to missing our Fast Pass window but the ride started up again and we were off to the races! Found out when we were pulling into the station that the 6th rider with us was celebrating her birthday, so the 5 of us in truly embarrassing-family style started singing out Happy Birthday to her loudly as we pulled up. A couple cast members heard us and started clapping to celebrate too. Last thing we heard from her before departing was "This is the best end to my birthday ever. I'll never forget this. Thanks for making a stuck ride fun". This is probably one of my favorite memories of that trip, all because we got stuck on a ride and instead of panicking, worrying, or getting angry... we joked and laughed and had fun, and in doing so we made this girl's birthday too.
P.S. We got off the ride with about 5 mins until the Fast Pass window closed for Monsters After Dark. My husband and friend literally ran to Guardians and made it there just in time too. :)

after seeing this blog i think back to september 11, 2001. i was at disney at the time and stayed in disney's all star movies. the Disney crew members we encountered seemed quite calm. after we were brought back from, then still pleasure island, to the hotel, everything was done to entertain the hotel guests that day. I still find that special. two days later we would actually fly back from Orlando international airport to the Netherlands. the airport was closed to all flights so we couldn't go back. the days that we had to stay longer, we were allowed to use the hotel room. we were therefore allowed to use this four extra nights at the expense of Disney. that was very neatly arranged.

I was in a doom buggy with my best friend when the ride stopped right next to a ghoul in the graveyard that pops up from behind a headstone. we must have only been there for maybe 15-20 minutes, but that was long enough for the magic to wear a bit thin, and *whoosh- clunk* of the the ghoul's mechanism to become hilarious to a couple of 17 year-olds.

We had to be evacuated off Pirates once. It was a fun experience actually. It probably helped that we were one of the first boats unloaded. CMs came and pulled the boats to the ledge so we could hop out, took us out a back way you don't normally get to see, and gave us a super fast pass we could use on anything. I wouldn't want it to happen every trip, but it was neat to have experienced once.

Something that never gets enough discussion or coverage is why they "break." In the absence of knowledge people concoct all sorts of horrific ideas of why the ride broke. In fact nothing really "breaks". The vast majority of these so-called breaks is do sensors on the track observing an irregular distance between to ride vehicles. One went too fast or one went too slow. On the average it takes 20 minutes to reset that. The ride is not broken, the cars are not about to fly off the track, and you are not in any danger. Sadly the first thing people do is panic and speculate about the most disastrous scenario they can imagine.

this happened on my 18th birthday before my family and i had dinner at california grill (sept 2019), my family and i were on the bus going to magic kingdom before our reservation, and this older man was sitting on his scooter and he passed out, his adult daughter was screaming to call 911, his toddler grandchildren were screaming and crying and it was so scary because everyone thought he had passed away, the driver pulled over to the side of the road and ambulances came and fire trucks and another bus for everyone to take us to MK, luckily, he was just dehydrated and went to the hospital, but it was definitely traumatic for those grandchildren especially , and everyone else got a paper fast pass which i never used so i could hang it in my room since it had my 18th birthday date on it but it is something i definitely will never forget

It wasn’t a real emergency, but when my mom went with us in 2016, at age 85, she wasn’t able to step up out of the jungle ride. CMs aren’t allowed to help in that kind of situation not wanting to injure the person or themselves. So they had to call the EMT (?). While waiting fir them to arrive, they sent the boat around again. They were there when we got back to the dock. They put a harness on my mom that allowed several people help all at the same time, helped her out of the boat and all were safe and sound. They did a great job keeping everyone safe. They were very sweet to my elderly mother.

At Space Mountain at Disneyland, when they do an emergency stop, all the trains stop at pre-determined stopping points. On one of the most memorable rides ever, as we crested the last lift, the lights started coming on and our train's stopping point was near the end of the ride. So, we rode the entire ride with the lights on. It was really cool to see it "behind the scenes". Then, a CM came and manually de-braked the train and pushed us until gravity brought us back around to the load platform. FP didn't exist when this happened in 1988, so all we got was an apology, a magical memory and a story to tell in the comments on a YT video. Good times.

In January of 2018 my brother and I were on the Na’vi River Journey ride and it broke down just before we got around the corner to get off the ride at the unloading area. We sat there for about 45min - an hour and we were able to be moved up to an area at the corner to have a cast member take our hand and get us off the ride. I don’t remember being offered anything. Just an apology. Luckily we didn’t miss any reservations or anything, just time. But it was definitely annoying. The cast member was super sweet and patient with everyone and made sure the directions were clear and everyone was safe getting off of the ride. Disney does a good job of that.
That same trip we were on the haunted mansion ride where the ghosts are singing and the ride stopped and everything but the music was playing. The room went pretty dark. That was actually pretty freaky. We waited maybe 5-10 minutes and then it happened again but just for a few minutes and then the ride went on as it should. I have been to Disney twice as an adult and I haven’t experienced too many inconveniences. Cast members really try to go above and beyond to make sure everyone is safe and treated well. Especially if you have a pin on saying what you are celebrating, they will often notice it and make you feel super special!
I appreciate your videos very much, thank you for all of the hard work you and your team do to get us this info and nice footage! I have been watching a lot more of your videos as my family and I plan to go January of 2022. 😄

Transportation emergencies & evacuations can be a royal pain in the rump at times. On a trip via a Disney bus from the Wilderness Lodge to Disney's Hollywood Studios, I ended up on the micro-Tower of Terror. We arrived at DHS and because I was using an ECV, I and another woman (not part of my party) who was in a wheelchair were the last 2 to get off. I got my ECV onto the rear door platform and down it starts going. Then it gets stuck (probably about 4-5 feet off the ground, possibly a bit more, it's been several years). The bus driver reverses the mechanism and it goes up, part way, but not back to the bus floor's level. The driver then tries down again and it gets stuck around the same height. Back and forth (or should I say up & down) I go for a good 30 minutes, first with the bus driver doing it, then several other transportation cast members trying it. They break out the hand crank and try that and after several attempts, it still won't go down all the way but they ultimately crank it back up to the bus floor level. All well and good so that I can at least walk off the bus, but, my ECV is still in the air. They ended up having to have me walk off the bus with my cane... and then several CMs together lift my ECV off the platform (after they lowered it as far as it would go) and put it on the sidewalk. All in all, I probably lost close to an hour doing the Mini-TOT. They were very nice, and I truly did not get upset at them, things break, what can you do? They did give us a Beauty and the Beast VIP Seating voucher which was fine with me, I wasn't looking for compensation, though I admit, I was definitely glad to get off the "free ride" of the day!

Many years ago we were evacuated on BTM in Disneyland in the rain at night - I had 3 small kids in tow, they got us out on the steep hill & we walked a long way on very slippery stone steps. Once we got out the kids just wanted to do it all again! The other amazing event was in Disneyland as well, the fireworks were just about to start & we’d parked ourselves on a bench for several hours - best fireworks, perfect spot, and then there was a big earthquake. The top of the Astro Orbiter swayed quite a bit. Omg people were very polite but it took forever to get out of there. What a scene, cms waving lights & shouting - pretty sure they hadn’t exactly trained for that one.

We got evac'd from Haunted Mansion in 2015. We were stuck by the guy trying to get out of the coffin. We were escorted back thru all the scenes we had gone thru to get to the loading area. As we left the HM, we were given "Super Fast Passes" good for any Magic Kingdom ride which were good for a week. I landed up giving them away on our last night at the World as I walked back to Bay Lake Twr from MK.

My Family and I got stuck and had to be evacuated from the People Mover in Magic Kingdom once. It was during Micky's Very Merry Christmas Party and we missed the first part of the fireworks. We got a 3 pack of Fast passes for our trouble, because it was a special event and it was dark and our 7 year old was a little freaked out. Personally I thought it was pretty cool to see all the secret doors and stairways we got to see to get off the ride.

Ok, I have this really funny story, so basically, me and my mum had just gone on what I think is the haunted house ride? It has the dead wife and stuff etc, and it stopped during the bit where it talks about the haunted wife and me and my mum were super freaked out. After that happened and we carried on with the ride, we went over to the little mermaid ride and guess what? It stopped there too! Such a funny coincidence

My friend and I were evacuated off of splash mountain once. The cast member guided us out, but stopped at little lock box, to which they pulled fast passes out of. However they needed a pen to date the passes, I was the only one who had a pen on me in my purse, so I lent it to them, and waited till everyone got their fast passes, because of this we ended up getting extra fast passes.

I was in Disney world in October 2016 and on our magic kingdom / not to scary Halloween party day is when hurricane matthew hit . The park closed at 5 pm and alllllll the cast members were being very diligent in getting all the pumpkins off the light poles and moving things so that nothing would fly off and hit anyone . AND we did receive a full refund for the not so scary Halloween party since it didn’t happen that night due to the storm making the park close early . All in all cast members were doing terrific at making sure everyone felt safe and making sure everyone left the park in time to get to their resort safely before winds and rain got too intense .

When I was young, my mom tried to convince me I could handle riding Haunted Mansion, even though I told her I wasn't ready. We still went on. Stretch room was kind of off-putting to me but we get in our buggy. We round the first corner and are in the room the ghost plays the piano and we just stop. I ask my mom if this is normal and she said it wasn't. We sat in the ride, motionless, for about half an hour before crew members started coming around and letting us out. To do this, they also had to turn the lights on. Funny how I wasn't scared anymore when that happened! We ended up going out via the entrance. Mom felt so bad for me and took it as a sign she should've just listened to me and I got ice cream as a treat.

Here is my experience which took place at Disneyland, I finished riding it’s a small world holiday, and I wanted to go again, so I waiting in line and such, so I got on again, but when I entered the first tunnel mostly everything shut off, all the lights and animatronics turned off, but the song was playing in random areas, they had to turn on the lights which revealed lots of doll shadows and there was way less color than usual, there were some silhouettes and a row of work lights on the wall pretty much illuminated most things until they started going behind the decorations, there was some twinkling and the Italy bells were still ringing, there was also some violins if I remember correctly, and the tunnels were just playing background music like normal, it was weird, we got stuck in Italy so cast members pulled our boats to the nearest exit which was in Canada, we went through a passage in the wall, which was behind some doors, it lead to a stairway and we went through a couple areas and went into the main park. They said they lost power everywhere, this was on December 27th 2017

When it comes to safety and following the rules, I told my kids to think about these as entertaining and fun pieces of heavy equipment, on the order of big construction equipment but with safe and fun places to sit. If you follow the rules and listen to instructions, you have just about no chance of being hurt. Keep your manos, brazos, pies, y piernas inside the ride and the only thing you really have to worry about is having fun.
Visiting Disneyland Paris (my one "once in a lifetime Disney trip") we were riding their version of Big Thunder Mountain (I believe they call it "le Montagne de Sacre Bleu" but my French is awful) I was really excited because it goes underneath the equivalent of Rivers of America and comes out on what would be Tom Sawyer Island, then comes back under the water etc. etc. Anyway, just as we're heading up from under the outbound underwater portion, the ride stops. About half a minute later, the announcements start. Then cast members came along and - their words - evacuated us off of the ride.
Sad I didn't get to finish the ride, sadder still for all the people waiting in line to ride, saddest yet for my already aching feet because we walked for a long, long way. They were kind enough to say "Quel dommage, nous sommes désolés" and then whisked us off to go to another part of the park. All things considered, that was the low part of the visit, so not bad at all. The high point was giggling at the portrayal of the American Southwest overall. If I hit the lottery jackpot, I'm going to all 9 Disneys.

I've seen people who are wheelchair bound be evacuated off of Expedition Everest from very high up. Disney had these chairs that easily go down stairs and it was a safe effective way to move people with mobility issues. I cant speak to how to get people off the water rides tho.

We went to Disney World over spring break and we were super excited and wanted to do Star Wars rise of the resistance so we booked three days in Hollywood studios, the first day we didn’t get in, the second day we did and we did the ride and the two ladies behind us said the audio didn’t work but we had no clue because we’ve never done the ride before so the cast members gave us fast passes to come back anytime later that day so we went to go get some snacks and we came back and the ride was still closed because they were fixing things but a few minutes later it was back up and we did it again with the audio and the backstory and it was a lot more fun, but we still had one more day in Hollywood studios and we got into rise of the resistance again and the third time we realized we had still missed apart the first two times at the end you’re supposed to see Kylo Ren and swinging blades but the first two times that wasn’t there.

My first time riding the Haunted Mansion, I was alone, we'd just entered a section where the buggies start to rotate anddd the ride stopped. Mine was facing into the darkness, the creepy noises/music was still playing and I'm not ashamed to admit that even as a 22 year old, I was getting twitchy. Thankfully it was only about 5 minutes before it started again, but it felt like an eternity. Luckily I now know HM isn't scary at all and ride it multiple times whenever I go! (And yes, it will stop during at least one of those rides.)

I once got stripes of burned skin after riding in the canoes in cotton shorts. It was more an annoyance, but made sitting a little uncomfortable for a couple days. I stopped by the town hall to just let someone know. They had me fill out a complaint form, but that’s it. I was a bit disappointed for the lack of empathy, but I guess people are so sue-happy in the US, that they were trained not to respond with overt sympathy. I just didn’t want it to happen to someone else.
