I've been following your videos on Signals and Systems and Digital Electronics for a while now, and I just wanted to say thank you for making these videos. Your teaching style is flawless and the way you take on complicated topics and break them down to provide the simplest possible explanation never ceases to amaze me, that too in such short time! Most of your videos are under 20 minutes and can be covered with ease. Seriously man, you inspire me. :)

I couldn't understand universal shift register in the class, because the other simpler ones were not taught correctly. As I watched all of the videos in this playlist, it seemed so easy. And yes it is. Now I can draw this circuit diagram without any hesitation even in half sleep. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work.

I think you understand my question, but to make it extra clear.
Let's say I just did a parallel load of 1100. The flip-flops now will contain this value. If I than switch mode to shift right, the first 4 bits coming out will be the 4 bits stored in the flip-flops. So let's say I will shift right 1010, the first 4 bits data out will than be 1100 (previous stored value of flip-flop) and giving a wrong output.
