F. Chopin - Etude in C minor No.24 (Op.25 No.12) "Ocean" Eliso Virsaladze Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory live - 1985 Elisso Wirssaladze /
This is very much in the Russian style, with an emphasis on speed and volume. I find the interpretation similar to Sokolov's. Neither is to my taste but the playing is undeniably good
Yes she is Georgian and older then Sokolov. Virsaladze was already a post-graduate, when Sokolov appeared. Both of them were, however, educated in USSR and could have the same influences of old Soviet piano school, first of all - from Professor Neuhaus..
Chopin to najpiękniejsza spuścizna dla ludzkości. Wspaniałe wykonanie, bardzo dziękuję.
Una forza della natura!
Fantastique!!!

So, what is to your taste?
@@mikedaniels3009 I like Horowitz and Cziffra, among others. They both play it quite differently
@@marksmith3947 Thanks for the reply.
She's Georgian I believe
