hotcakes actually are from England. After WW1 they had very few things that would bring people together, but the pub scene in Ireland and England, mostly Birmingham area, had communities come together and the hotcakes (pancakes here in the US) were the most popular. Due to rations though, only a certain amount could be made, but they always were used as a time signifier or a birthday celebration, and the hotcakes would be gone usually by mid-morning. Also here in the states, we used to say "Time to make the donuts" which was referencing breakfast and hotcakes from Dunkin Donuts

I've been watching Ola's videos for a long time and have never left a comment until now. I've tried to think of a way to describe how amazing his channel is, but I think the one word is - fun. He's a great player, has a wonderful sense of humor, and truly presents his content in a professional way. Everything looks and sounds great. Look at the simplicity of the framing of this video. It's like something out of a movie. If I were a tv producer in Hollywood, I'd try to get Ola as an actor in a comedy show. I could go on and on.. and I guess I did.

Heya Ola. Question for your next Faq. Have you ever listened to any movie/game soundtrack that really caught your attention. In the traditional sense rather than just a bunch of band songs attached to it. E.g. I found stuff like The Road to Perdition, Blood Diamond awesome and games such as Silent Hill 2 and Shadow of the Colossus. Greetings from New Zealand (aka 'not Australia')

Ola.... i love you, your hair is beautiful. maybe you already answered this, but what are your favourite "brand" of IR's? were you to purchase some online, and do you have an IR of your HESU cab somewhere for a DL? i really want to test it out, as i'm thinking about buying one with a poweramp to go with my Helix. i'm using the 5150, a skervesen raptor 6 with BKP juggernauts, tuned to Open Bmadd9, what would you suggest? cheers from the other side of the Kattegat sae (Denmark)
If no one else has done it yet, I can explain the hotcakes expression. A hotcake is another name for a pancake, which is basically a thin piece of fried batter usually cooked in batches on a griddle (Google it for a picture). Because the pancakes are so thin, they cool off very quickly, and taste terrible when they're cold, so people buy them or eat them as soon as they are ready to eat, and that's where the expression comes from. Hope that helps!

Hey Ola! Atm i only have 10" speakes for my guitar and other for my bass. Do you recommend go for an amp and cab or maybe a combo with 12" speaker is fine? Here in Brazil the prices are so bad :/
