Hey mate, keen to see what you think about sizing the glazer, I have a 5'8 seaside, 35.4ltr, love the paddle power, but feels boaty sometimes surfing it, skips out abit, and super fast in bigger waves, hard to slow it down or turn when its big, ive oversized it mainly for paddle power.
im 70kg, intermediate. Like more drawn out turns, but want to progress more performance and releases, Thinking of a glazer for the better days, and to offer more performance progression, and using seaside in the fat slow waves. Should i go same size and volume as tge seaside , or drop down do you think? Haven't had an lft from firewire either.
    Cheers

hey mate, that's a good question! if you get a Glazer the same volume it will probably hold better in bigger or heavier stuff due to the tail and width/template etc, but you may still find it might be 'too boaty' and harder to control in the stuff you're planning to use it in. Due to your weight, if your paddle strength is good i reckon you could definitely go down a size in the Glazer and make it work and have fun for sure. another option is the new Machado/Mann 'Mashup' which at 5'9" (or even 5'8") has a little less volume and due to its template etc may have the hold and control you are seeking in more unforgiving situations while still keeping the feeling and flow of the Seaside you like. hope this helps! good luck -KS

What size are you riding? I'm considering picking one up the same size as my seaside but for when the waves are bigger/more punch and I need to control speed more.

this one's 5'8" mate. yes good idea it may help, but also check out the Mashup if you're after roughly the same feel but more control and versatility -KS

Hello, just a question, what's your weight? Because I would like to buy one but I am still hesitating about the volume, I'm 72kg 182 cm intermediate surfer.
    Thanks for your answer

hi mate, i'm 77kg and 183cm. if you are intermediate level with developed paddle strength, you could go down a size quite easily. depends what you're after really. good luck! -KS

Thanks for the review, I picked up a Glazer today and conditions are no good here so checking reviews! Great to here you say it may be a new favourite, and also glad to here you're recommending to not go too large as I went the smaller size after much deliberation. Also went the same fins as you, makes sense.. Time will tell how I like mine :)
