Hope I don't regret selling the twice baked for this one!! The TB is truely a magical board!!!
both are fun to ride mate, the decision on which one is better for you is entirely personal choice. but you will definitely enjoy either one! -KS

@@peacepuffz I went from the 5'9" twice baked to the 5'8" SP. This was my second helium board which i found too boaty. It would be interesting to see if I'd like the 5'6" SP to compensate for the extra buoyancy.
I’m torn between the 6’0 and 5,10.
Will only be surfing in super week small waves.

fair enough mate. it's hard for me to direct you in the right direction volume-wise due to so many personal variables eg- age, experience etc BUT i will say in my experience they are big boards for their length that pack in a heap of volume, so (in general) if you do go the smaller option i think you'll still be covered in most small wave situations. hope this helps -KS
All the helium boards are the same construction. The new one just looks different.
gonna have to agree to disagree with you on this one mate. i've owned both and the later 2.0 Heliums seem to be softer and more prone to compression marks than the earlier ones i've ridden -KS
I have owned both and there is no difference except for a paint job. Maybe you had a defective board.
What size did you get that was too big? And what size are you?

I am 82kg and a beginner, I wanted to downsize from my 9'0" longboard. I am still getting used to it but I find it has helpful. I have the 6'2" 57 litere the only negative is forget duck diving.

What fins would you recommend? I’ve been looking into the Endorphins twin plus 2
hi mate, i can only recommend what i've tried so far. i've found that some more upright fins in front, with some smaller rears or even little nubster rears in a quad setup was a lot of fun for me. but it's totally a personal choice! but yes i reckon the Endorfin Twin plus 2 set could be great fun to try in this board! it's very similar (size and shape wise) to what i've ridden but just a 2 + 1 instead of quad, which could be nice and loose and just what you're after for sure. enjoy experimenting and have fun -KS

Very nice review. Would you recommend this surfboard to me as a beginner transitioning to an intermediate, spending a summer in Morocco where the upcoming months are expected to be small? I am quite confident with funboards of 6’6-6’8 and now looking into buying sweet potato 6’2. I weight 65kg. Thanks.
hey mate, i think it could actually work for you in that capacity, while also being capable of handling more advanced riding as you keep improving. because of the width they are pretty stable too. keep in mind that a 6'2" might feel quite large once you get dialled in, but will still be fun! thanks for the positive feedback and hope this helps -KS

Great video. I’m 178cm tall, intermediate/ advanced surfer and fluctuate between 75 to 80kg. My short boards are 30 to 32L (Already 3-5
L more to accomodate for my age and skill level). I was going to get the 5’2” 31L as a fun, extremely small wave board. You mentioned people going 6L over your performance short board. Does that mean I should be looking at the 37L model? Am I missing something? Why does it need so much extra volume? Does the board need significantly more volume to get going?
hey mate, if you already have a board or two around 30-32L i'd go for the bigger volume option if this SP is going to be just for super tiny grovelling. 35-37L could be fun, especially if you're getting older it's an investment for future sessions-"foam is your friend" as Machado says. sorry to make it confusing, it's nothing to do with the board needing more to get going (it's fast and nimble for a groveller), i just wanted to make sure you get enough foam for the tiny stuff! hope this helps -KS
Hey there. My spitfire is 31L and a great performance board, my sweet potato is the 37L (5’6”) model and it’s an absolute paddling machine and rides very nimble for its volume and is quite short at 5’6”; I’m 5’10” 190lbs (86.36Kg) for reference

What are the board's dims and what are... your own dims lol? But I'm being serious just for sizing - I had a Twice Baked before and it was too big, I was still very much a beginner beginner
hey mate, i'm 6'2" @ 80kg, board is 5'10" @45.2L, i got it for very tiny days but could've definitely gone smaller i reckon -KS
@@kookshed I'm 5.8+ (175cm) 75 kgs and I ordered a 5.4 with 34.8 L and it goes well. I might got the 5.6 with 38L but I'm happy like this.
My allrounder boards are between 26.5 - 28L

Love the videos. Especially the part about having a bad day go for a surf. I'm looking for a potato and it was nice to read that we are similar dimensions. I've got an extra 5kg, just in case I get stuck on a desert island. I've found a 5'8", would you go down that low in a sweet potato wood version?
why did you not mention the dems on the board in the vid.? did i miss something? That helps a ton when giving a board review. My apologies if u did mention the boards dems. I was dying to know. I am 6'6" 230lbs. and ride the 6'0". The 6'2" was a bit big, like you were saying about yours. They can replace a longboard.... Shoots the 6'4" (biggest model) is 57 liters!! Thanks for your time...
