I fished there as I saw that bucket too. Great minds think alike 😁 The video is from last Sunday. I didn’t see any pole holders unfortunately. There was a new fire pit so I assume someone was there on Saturday. I like that spot as I don’t have to walk to the fishing spot. If you see me out there let me know. Thanks for watching for commenting 🙏. Take care.
@@Busydad I will stop to say hi if I see u or we can get together one day and fish, my sons and I might be going out Sunday or Monday maybe with the kayaks but not sure yet
You’ll need to get some fish slime to break in the new pole 🎣 I also have to do the same with my new bait caster. I’m sure I’ll see you and your son soon.
Hi Peter, Wow! That was a great looking carp. BTW, what type of bait did you use? You didn't mention it, but I saw the cage and assumed it was some type of pack bait. Carp will take anchovies, right? I read everything on frozen bait (especially anchovies)- went to Walmart to get some and also bought some plain ole table salt. (non iodized). There are many, many videos on this topic and its really hard to do it incorrectly, its really a matter of preference on the method used. Is the verdict in on the watch? I don't think its a fluke as you have been successful with it 3 or 4 times. OK, all for now. If I think of any more question, I will contact you. Looking foreword to next video. Later... Hi George! Yes, I like the watch. It’s not perfect but seems to be working so far. Might be the best $20 I’ve spent on a gadget. Anyway, the pack bait was the regular cornflakes cereal and panko (bread crumbs) mix with can corn on the hooks. For winter months I can keep the anchovies frozen for the duration but will definitely try salting them in the summer to keep them firm. Thanks for watching always and have a great weekend!
Peter, heres another question on that fishing watch. Do you plan your fishing trips based on what the watch is telling you or do you just go fishing and its just a coincidence if the watch shows good fishing? Also, when you are fishing does the watch flip back and forth =fish or no fish or can it stay positive for long periods? Looking forward to your next video. Later... George Bonafino
I usually plan my trips more based on weather first. Then I’ll look at what the watch is saying. The indicator usually changes by the hour. If watch says it’s good time, I’ll target stripers and catfish. If there are no bites and the watch says it’s not a good time, I’ll change my target to carp. Hope this helps.
For catfish and carp, Near Hemenway Harbor all the way to Special events beach should be pretty good. Also, Boulder Harbor and Hatchery Saddle Point maybe a little easier to reach the deeper water. Hopefully the wind will subside. Good luck!
It just needed a little TLC. I cleaned it and gave some needed oil. It should sound much better thanks to you😁. Now I just need to hook up to a 20 lbs. carp that will make the reel scream! Appreciate you watching my videos and commenting. 🙏
Carp are strong fighters. They usually zig and zag. 👍✌
Fishing for carp is so fun. Not sure why more people don’t go for them but that’s ok. I love it! Thanks for watching.
Good fishing brother very good carp 👍🏻
Thank you 🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Nice job Peter! Sign me up for the next outing my friend
You got it!

Thank you for watching all the way from Indonesia 🙏. I really appreciate it. One day I would love to take a trip and visit Indonesia.
Nice double hookup right in the beginning lol I like how you use 2 l on the Carolina rig. If I may ask what size line are your leaders
I use 20 lbs. test for the leader. Thank you for watching and commenting. 🙏

Hey Peter how u doing, I was in that same exact spot on the 17th, that’s funny because I saw that bucket there
And I forgot my 2 red pole holders in the ground hahaha

Hey, nice carp! Were you anywhere near the marina? I was out there yesterday and couldn’t buy a bite!?!?
Yes, I was. Special events beach is just a few miles from the fishing pier towards Boulder beach. The video is from my outing on Sunday.
@@Busydad thx! I’ll have to get back out there soon!

What areas are good for catfish and carp at lake Mead?

Bro where did you get your watch
Got it from Amazon.

You need a new reel on that ugly stick. It hurts my soul to hear it cry when you reel in
