Still Tim Burton loved it and didn't even asked to reshoot it

Her dance moves were actually really amazing to me in this scene. It felt like a very Wednesday way to dance and I appreciate Jenna so much for the performance. I also loved the psychobilly song they used with her, matched really well!
Thinking about the scene, it is obvious she know how to dance, she is an Addams after all. Morticia and Gomez always are dancing, aren’t they. Jenna was impressive, the whole scene. I can’t wait for more.
1:01 my absolute favorite part! The fact that Jenna coreographed this dance herself is insane, I though a professional dancer was behind every step of this masterpiece!! This is something only a person who truly understands the character would be able to do❤
I can do what she did in this scene, but could I have choreographed it? No. Could I have done it at age 20? An even bigger no. As someone who's been dancing in clubs for decades, I just want people to know that while this may not require a great deal of athleticism, it still requires a lot of skill. It's peak art. I'd gladly get off of the dance floor to give her room to do her thing.
The fact that she said in an interview that she made the choreography herself blows my mind... the whole dance is so impressive. She is definitely perfect for the role.
Its even better than that. Apparently she was asked if she wanted to choreograph the dance herself and she said sure. 2 Days before the shoot she completely forgot that she agreed to choreograph and so in a spur of motivation spent the next two days straight, sleeplessly researching different dance moves. O and she also had COVID during this....which is a dick move on the directors part.
Wednesday Addams has always been a dancer since the 1960s, taught leerch how to dance. The dance was weird but cool at the same time, makes me wanna learn it.
I love how Tyler looks at her during this scene. First confusion but then he just enjoys her being her and looks at her so adorably 🥺. I saw the end coming, but still… Ugh, I love them and my heart hurts.
I know that Jenna Ortega says she isn’t a dancer and she was really insecure about this scene, but she KILLED THIS. Even though it’s a weird Wednesday dance, it’s performed so well that I can’t help but be intrigued
As someone who considers himself to be a great club dancer, I think that she did a fantastic job. I'd be happy to share a dance floor with her. I'd even get off of the floor to give her more room to dance.
The fact she perfectly combined Fosse with the moves I've loved seeing pulled at goth clubs a few days before shooting this is so damn amazing. My first time seeing Jenna Ortega in anything and so excited to see where her career goes from her (hopefully several more seasons of Wednesday of course too)
With all the commercialized “art” in todays music and film industry, this scene was pretty captivating. Just a simple reminder that we can still be just as creative as we were in the 80’s and 90’s. Props to Jenna Ortega for keeping art alive and well. Good song choice as well. Felt like a breath of fresh air!

I say that because she is just doing her own thing but making eye contact one hundred percent on him while he is absolutely fascinated. Besides that, her flamenco moves is also a reference from the 90's movie where her parents passionately dance in a restaurant.
Omg yes! I've always viewed her dance as something like those fancy-looking birds that will dance to lure a mate. I know those are usually male birds, and that's not totally what she's doing- I'm not over here trying to day she was 100% initiating a mating ritual, just that this is how it comes across in my mind 😅 I don't see Wednesday doing this with anyone but someone she's completely comfortable with (and that just so happened to be a monster lol, very on-brand)
@@ina6601. Yes!!! lol a mating danceeeee!!! That's it! Y'know why I love this? Wednesday is being herself. She genuinely does not give a shit that the whole room stops to stare at her. In a room full of white, she stands out in black. In a room full of followers, she's an independent thinker. Wednesday is unique in that way, and this dance is just the same. The cool part is that you don’t think of Wednesday as someone that dances, but this is exactly how she would do it.
Wednesday danced with Lurch.
And her cousin at festers welcome home party.
This is not how she would do it. I really enjoyed the dance though. Although I do not think it fits Wednesday’s character. I really wish they’d let this be a series about Wednesday’s daughter instead. Everything in this series would work then. It would work so well. She would have similarities to Wednesday but more on the quirky side (which this new adaptation feels like) and keep the original dark, no f***s given, homicidal energy of the Christina Richie Wednesday.

Fun fact: she was not confident at all she was extremely nervous because when they were shooting the scene they did not have the fog, dark lighting, other people dancing around it was just her dancing infront of everyone and the effects and people dancing in the back were added later they were also using a over head camera that was extremely close to her face and the extras and other actors just stood by watching her dance. I can do what she did in this scene, but could I have choreographed it? No. Could I have done it at age 20? An even bigger no. As someone who's been dancing in clubs for decades, I just want people to know that while this may not require a great deal of athleticism, it still requires a lot of skill. It's peak art. This dance is already iconic. It says she decides to keep her guards down a bit for Tyler and she initiates a flirt in her way.
That's it!
