The main reason why Nissan isn’t in the LMGT3 class is because they stopped being international, they pretty much race locally now except for Formula E.

Audi and Acura GT3 Programs Whose Development and Factory Financial Support Ended Audi in 2023 and Acura in 2024.
Let's face the realities, Lamborghini Huracan is outdated so it got replaced by Temerario & Audi has ended the production of the R8 making the end of V10 racing in GT3 class. When it comes to Honda/Acura & Nissan, the NSX & GTR have lost homologation after the end of the seasons in Super GT, GT World & IMSA 2024 & it explained why both of them it got replaced by the Civic & 400Z in Super GT(GT500 class), because the R35 has been around for ages & the NSX 3rd generation is under development. If Bentley is still interested in motorsports for another decades, it could've raced in WEC under both LMGT3 & hypercar class but sadly, they aren't interested anymore & VW is facing many crisis nowadays. I wish to see these cars to race in WEC one day.😢
The NSX and GT-R are still homologated for GT3 for many years, the issue is they won't spend the money to adapt the required torque sensors for the cars in WEC and IMSA. GT500 has nothing to do with worldwide GT3.
It eont make sense for Bentley, porsche , audi and lamborghini to race each other for vw itll just be a engineers ego comp. Makes more sense to rotate manufacturers to regain recognition and then switch
If you ask me, for Lamborghini's case, their WEC Hypercar program was axed partially because of the 2 car mandate, so they will focus most of their efforts in IMSA for the time being. And their LMGT3 was most likely cut to focus on development of the Temerario GT3.
Thanks FJ. If Audi and Bentley resurrect their prototype projects we could effectively see them back in GT3 with a current homologated R8 and the Continental.
Audi and Nissan don't surprise me since both of their cars are dinosaurs. They should redesign them and bring out new models. Audi is playing it too safe. Backed by Volkswagen and being one of their most profitable brands, money should not really be an issue in sustaining both F1 and WEC programmes. It should, in fact, bring in additional income. They should consider building an ICE successor to the R8 and later consider resurrecting their own HyperCar programme. Bentley should enter the HyperCar fight.
How is the Audi a dinosaur when the newest version was homologated in 2022 and will last until 2030? How is it a dinosaur when it won the Nurburgring 24h this year, the GTWCE sprint cup last year, the Gulf 12h last year, came second at Macau GT last year, came 3rd at the Spa 24h last year, won the GT open championship this year, came 3rd at the Bathurst 12h this year, and almost clinched the DTM championship this year until the last round.

While VAG has a lot of resources and money it would still be very expensive to run both F1 and WEC at the same time, especially in Hypercar class. And I believe their German factory where they used to build LMP1 cars is now redesigned for their F1 program and that Audi F1 takes a lot of time and resources to be successful, given how bad Sauber is at the moment. Audi also has won everything in sportscar racing but nothing in F1 and if they went both ways it´s likely one of those programs would fail and it wouldn´t look very viable for VAG.

McLaren got in due to their relations with United, same for Ford with Proton. Both don't need to have a Hypercar to stay in WEC, the same applies to Merc.

Bruh, calm down Peter
It's sad but Audi is expecting to make a EV supercar but then, it said that they're stop making EVs by 2030 so we expected to see a Audi R8 GT3 based on V8 car like Temerario. Honda is already no longer making the NSX & Nissan is developing a R36 GTR, so it explained why in Super GT, the car is being replaced with a Civic in GT500 class & Nissan replaced the GTR with 400Z instead of updating the facelift based on Nismo T-Spec. VW is currently facing crisis so it explained why Bentley is no longer interested in racing & Audi is having issues with F1.
NSX GT3 not using carbon fiber chassis but aluminum
Yep you are right! Thanks for the correction!
What about amg, what happened to them?
Mercedes AMG will be racing in 2025 with the Iron Lynx confirmed to run 2 cars!
Isn't the Bently Continental GT a 4wd car? That leads to the question: is the GT3 race car 4wd?
Nope rwd all gt3's are
Bentley
3:18 you mention it came 2nd in 2016 but don’t mention it famously won in 2015
Ah thanks for the correction! I appreciate that
The intent of thr WEC is you run in hypercar class you get to run in GT3 if you have a car suitable, pressure put on Aston Martin to bring the Valkyrie to keep in Gt3, pressure also on McLaren, Mercedes in 2025 no such expectation go figure.......
McLaren got in due to their relations with United, same for Ford with Proton. Both don't need to have a Hypercar to stay in WEC, the same applies to Merc.
I think the gt name get too confusing
Bentley is stupid for pulling out all these tracks suit Bentley
The forced switch to EV has taken development time and money away from GT cars unfortunately, honestly just looking at all the bullshit the Akkodis team has pulled in the last 2 years with their prehistoric Lexus I'm fine with older cars being taken off the grid.
Maybe one day we'll have a resurrection in the production of GT cars but for now we have to wait on what little Greta forces the world to do.
Will Nissan make the r36 Gt3?😂😂🤣👍
So all retired cars. Great.
"Most successful behind Toyota"?! And what about Porsche with 19 wins?🤣
I love Porsche, but that fact was for most successful brands of the WEC. Porsche is the most successful brand of Le Mans.
Hi
And Audi has now sold a majority stake to some Qataries. Their F1 program is a joke and it was at the expense of a LMDh and their entire customer racing program. Absolute joke.
Lamborghini doesn't have poor performance buddy c'mon. Don't say that. You know it has the performance. Drivers caused most of the problems. Yellow had no chance ever since they had the most garbage bronze driver in entire racing history and Frey crashed a couple of times and ruined transmission once. With in the proper hands they could win the title
Racing in Gt3 has rules, most of these cars don't follow that, for example omologation,so they Simply can't compete
that is just simply not true. all of those cars are homologated to SRO-FIA GT3
@RedBullRacingiGP Acura will lose omologation next year, Audi already Lost It and there's no support, Bentley Is outdated, Nissan isn't updating the car in ages
@@fqeagles21Audi's still homologated for a few more years
First
4 of those are dead programs, so why would be even considered?
They are not being considered to return. This video was to mention some GT3 cars that raced that haven’t competed in or won’t return to LMGT3
@FormulaJonah ok, then I missunderstood, thanks for clarification
