  • fencing.bekaert... - #TheFencePros demonstrate the proper way to install a brace with a twitch wire. Braces are the most important element of your fence, the strength of your fence comes from the H-brace. The wood H-brace is an assembly of three posts and bracing wire which creates a strong resistance to the lateral force of the fence.
    Our fencing products including high tensile barbed wire, fixed knot, field fence, and horse fence are American-made and produced in our Van Buren, Arkansas, USA, manufacturing facility.

    Great instructional video. This will be how I finish building out my H-brace for our hog enclosure. Thanks!

    Great detail thanks. One question, if I’m bracing my corner posts tomorrow with 12 g twitch wire, and I have the strainright ratcheting tensioners but I don’t have crimps yet, is there a safe way to tie off the wire on the other side of the ratcheting tensioner other than a crimp….? I don’t have a gripple either. Thanks :)

    What is the PSI rating of the high tensile smooth wire that you guys are using in this installation? I was thinking to purchase the 179K PSI Reddie Reel that's on your website but wasn't sure if that's what I should use or if I should use the 200K PSI smooth wire that sold as a 2000' coil. Please advise. Thank you!

    Hola ,¿cómo están? Quisiera saber si para un alambre de 7 hilos precisaría 1 o dos h brace para el anclaje . Muchas gracias y muchos saludos

    I have a 3 acre plot of land and it’s squared shape. How many h frames do I need?

    • @1313sg
      @1313sg 7 дней назад

      2 per corner. If its a square corner then they will be 90 degrees from each other in the direction of the fence.

      Good question, it's the one on the right-hand side.

    So you leave the in line strainer on each h post?! What if you have 20 h posts in your complete fence? You purchase 20 in line strainers? Wish you had made these more clear.

    • @1313sg
      @1313sg 7 дней назад

      Yes. The strainer stays attached for life of the H post. Tighten over time if necessary.

    Why is it some farms have their wood centre compression member at a diagonal angle instead of horizontal?

    • @BekaertFencing
      @BekaertFencing  7 месяцев назад +1

      There are a few different types of braces. When it is at a diagonal it's called a N brace. This is a H brace.

    How do you prevent the wire from snapping

    • @BekaertFencing
      @BekaertFencing  11 месяцев назад

      Don't tension it too much. Remember with high tensile wire, you simply need to pull it tight- do not stretch it.

  • @Keythers

    So the in-line strainer stays on when your done?

    • @BekaertFencing
      @BekaertFencing  3 года назад

      Yes! Keep it on there to hold the tension in the smooth wire.

    What gauge wire did you use?

    • @BekaertFencing

      We used 12.5 ga high tensile wire that we offer.

    Load of BS. Been a million corner or end post's made up with number 9 wire and a stick or steel rod! don't need to figure 8 just wrap around the posts, drive staples in loose and shove a stick in between the wires and twist. Put the stick in where one end will hit the horizontal so it can't release. Tore out many barbwire fences that were built like this and they lasted till the wire was rusted into.

      The boys spend a lot of money where a 1" stick works silently.
