      I got Civic FD Hybrid 2008 Australia.
      does all the wiring is same with the one you put on the description?

    • @LevelUpMechanics

      Possibly. If your stock sound system is the basic version (vs. a premium factory sound system), then the wiring should be identical.
      However, I only have access to USDM wiring diagrams, so I do not know if there are any differences between the U.S. version and Australian version.

      @Student2024.4 You could always look into any of the Chinese "tablet style" stereo units that are floating around on Amazon / Ebay.
      They usually have wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto options & are usually compatible with your factory sound system components... the only downside is that the Chinese brands can be hit or miss (as far as quality).

    Hi! I have a question. I have fuses in the interior that are not working, I thought a replacement would fix the issue but apparently its a wiring issue. Can you help me with guidance on how to repair?

    • @LevelUpMechanics
      @LevelUpMechanics  10 месяцев назад +1

      If you have a particular fuse that keeps blowing, there are multiple possibilities as to why the fuse keeps blowing.
      For example, if you try to power multiple electronic accessories from one power outlet (usually rated around 15-20 amps), you could be overloading the circuit (drawing over 20 amps) and cause the fuse to blow.
      Other scenarios include a short-to-ground circuit, a short-to-power circuit, loose battery cables or ground wires, a wrong type of fuse (there are various types / sizes of fuses - micro, mini, etc), and so on...
      If I had a fuse that kept blowing every time I replaced it, I would suspect that there might be a short-to-ground issue in the circuit.
      I would figure out what electrical items are used for that fuse (in an owners manual, for example), and then I would look up a wiring diagram for those electrical item(s) and start testing / inspecting different parts of the circuit (usually somewhere after the fuse).
      I hope this info helps! 😁 I wish I could be a bit more specific. There are a lot of RUclips videos that show how you can test a circuit to diagnose an electrical issue... sometimes it can be an easy fix.

  • @DylanLetson
    @DylanLetson Год назад +1

    I have a 2006 lx as well but have failed to have any sounds from my speakers in 2 years. I’m stumped so there’s not any amplifier? The only speaker working is my front tweeter for the doors and ignition. I put a dual touch screen in it. I find it weird that none of the other speakers are working at all. What’s the chance of them all going at once ?

    • @LevelUpMechanics
      @LevelUpMechanics  Год назад +2

      The chances of all 4 speakers going out at the exact same time are pretty slim. It is more likely that something that controls all your speakers is the problem (like a blown fuse or your touch screen radio).

      Yes, it would work for the Si as well. The only difference would be the wiring. You would need to pick up a wire harness adapter that is compatible with your premium factory sound system.
      I believe you would need to use the Metra 70-1730 Receiver Wiring Harness and the Metra 40-HD11 Antenna Adapter...
      If you need more info, I would highly suggest checking Crutchfield's website. They do a really good job at showing everything you would need to make this Sony receiver compatible for your civic.
