Devils scouts have been evaluating D very well the past few years. Mukhamudulin is turning into a good player, Simon and Luke both look great, Seamus Casey is a top prospect, Vilen is coming along nicely. if they believe in Anton, I trust them.

people crack me up! one year ago every one had Fitz as GM of the year now because of a season filled with a ton of bad injury and goalie luck hes the worst ever. I know it sucks to trade holtz for a 4th liner but that's obviously all hes worth to the other gms around the league. we need more tough to play against guys, the team is too soft. also most of the trades are to clear out cap space to go get some really good UFAs. none of the players that were lost are irreplaceable just chill and wait for monday.

cool, very interesting. why did we toss holtz away for slightly more than nothing? that is what i want to know right now

Because he doesn’t play an identity that will win
We need bottom 6 players that are physical and play defense
We don’t more scorers that are slow and don’t hit or play defense
Holtz was never going to live up to the 7th overall pick, cut our losses and move on

We'll trade them right before he enters his prime for a 34-year-old bruiser that can't skate

Fitzy doesnt care about speed anymore even tho he hire a soft system coach who is about speed. ive been tried of fitzy for a year now its time to get a new GM who is a clueless idiot

4Why are we still keeping on to Foote? Nolan needs to go, im shocked he got to stay longer than Holtz and clarke. Plz get a new GM. Tell fitzy he hired a coach that system is built around speed and cotter is not even good at skating. All cotter is gonan do is hit and look lost out atleast lazar can skate. Have fun overpay for 2 Dmen and a top 6 you didnt need. Go get Duhaime in FA he can skate and is physical. 24-25 is ECF or Fitzy is gone from GM.

Tom Fitzgerald is the worst GM in the NHL. Get him out of here! As if the Palat contract & Sharangovich trade wasn't bad enough. I am so tired of this clown. Holtz was mishandled since day 1. Still scored 16 goals in limited minutes shuffled with 4th line players. You don't throw him in the garbage for a 4th line center. I hope this weekend opened some more eyes. Fitz needs to get out of town!

Holtz was never going to succeed on this team. They can't run out a soft roster like last year and expect to win in the playoffs. Theres a reason why the leafs and oilers haven't won a cup with their strictly offensive teams..

You do realize cotter will be a more valuable player then holtz will ever be on this team, we need grit someone hard on pucks, hits, blocks shots…Holtz does none of that…plus it frees us more cap space….smart move

Was Bill Zito the worst GM in the NHL when he traded away 2 key players off of the team that won the Presidents trophy for Matthew Tkachuk? Last time I checked, Florida blended speed, skill and toughness and it worked out pretty well for them. Holtz was not good enough to earn the opportunity here, as evidence by the fact that he got left off of Sweden's roster. His trade value was almost nothing. I'd be happy for the kid if it works out for him, but I highly doubt it does.
Sharangovich was a good player we gave up to get Toffoli who did exactly what he was advertised to do. Sharangovich doesn't score that many goals if he's here as he wouldn't be on the PP, or the top line. 17 of his 57 points last year were PP points to put it in perspective.
If the Palat contract is the worst one your GM signs, you're in pretty good shape.
