Love our 2015 RX350, it is not a sports car, it is made to be a luxury vehicle and a premium one at that, aside from what was pointed out in this video it will outlast every other vehicle in it's class, all but the Toyota Highlander, You can keep MB, Audi, Rover BMW. see what they sell for used? Compare that to Lexus/Toyota
This is an amazing vehicle. Highly reliable engine. Great rear cargo space, and the seats fold almost flat - great for car camping. Old school technology meaning less things to break! I still own this vehicle in 2024 and I have 18.8 mpg average.
Ask anyone that owns one of these vehicles and they will tell you that it wasn't bought to go racing around corners, it was bought because of it's sheer comfort and luxuriousness. By far one of the most comfortable vehicles to ride in.
luxuriousness? Have you sat in a mercedes volvo audi or bmw suv? Out of all 4 the lexus is last in terms of luxury by far. fake leather everywhere, extremely basic dash design, shitty copy cat i drive and yes the steering is horrible on the highway talk about lack of speed sensitive steering just from a safety point of view. this car is waaaaaay overpriced for what you call "luxury"
Shannon Suber To get a Mercedes with this level of quality and comfort you would need to pay over 100K. Anything less than that is a cheap unreliable Mercedes as they are not what they used to be. Toyota cars are just reliable they keep going and going. I have my Lexus for the last 5 years and I feel like I could keep it for another 10 easy.
bighands69 Most people lease a benz so they never have an issue I would never pay 100k for a car when I could lease it for way lease and have it covered under warranty
You can get it for $15k today thanks to depreciation. It rides softer and more plush than the 2020 RX I test drove the other day. I'll take luxury ride over sporty handling any day. I want total isolation and DO NOT want to feel the road.
I always thought this was a beautiful car and its a great car we have a 2014 rx but then in 2016 they had to go and redesign it and it just didn't perform near as good as the 3rd gen rx that's why we are turning in are 2017 rx for a mdx this time.
Their navigation system needs an overhaul, it's a real step backwards as the presenter mentioned. I enjoyed the first generation of the mouse pad, but the later ones simply lack the simplicity of the original and are outdated in the voice recognition and general layout.
When you get a Lexus, you get that Toyota reliability with splashes of luxury, can't complain. And whoever came up with the Lexus name was a marketing genius, sounds a lot better than Acura or Infinity lol 😀
Does anyone know if the 2015 Lexus RX350 has backup warning sensors with the backup camera to warn you when your getting to close to something and need to stop?
I fell in love with this car at the dealership due to the contemporary luxury styling and the color. I test drove it and it looks like the dealer had kept the tire pressure under inflated to hide the ride quality. After I bought a certified RX 350, it I cannot believe how unbearably bumpy it has been. Not at all what you would expect from a Lexus. My RX 350 came with the sport tires. I took it to multiple Lexus dealers to find what's wrong with it and they all returned it after the service stating that unfortunately this is the expected ride quality of the 2015 model. Really bad ride quality as the whole vehicle is very stiff and everything shakes over minor bumps. The steering is also very tight. I'm waiting to upgrade to the 2016 model as the newly redesigned models ride much smoother when I got them as loaners. I would not recommend the 2015 Lexus RX 350. Really disappointed with the Lexus brand at this time.
You have no idea about cars. Ask someone like me who own a lexus, and how luxurious the drive is. Unlike you, who drives a 1996 Chrysler. How would you know what luxury is? Before posting anything please compare it to your own car first.
The next generation Lexus RX should have 7 seats and be comparable to the Acura MDX, since Lexus already has the NX models as a five passenger crossover
Acura are no where near to the quality of Lexus. They are not as reliable or as comfortable. I admit an Acura is still better value than German, US and British equivalents.
Juan Ceja Acura are not as luxurious or as reliable nor is their AWD system anywhere as near to the Toyota based platform. Do not get me wrong Acura (Honda) has great reliability in terms of breakdown in that they do not break down but their drive systems are not as capable as Toyota.
Hahah The more you pay the more luxury you get. It's as simple as that. When I say luxury I also mean the luxury of not having the car sit at the maintenance shop as oppose to your drive. That counts for all of it for some.
I own 2015 now. I regret buying it. Numb steering and suspension is not that good. The acceleration is pretty lethargic. It is not particularly quiet when it ramps up the speed. Fuel economy is around 22 mpg with mixed driving. The positives are great road clearance (better view than 2020) and you rarely get repairs..so very reliable.
I owned a gx460 back in 2012. The car was perfect except for the steering. It was like driving on an ice skating rink. There was no feedback whatsoever - to the point that long distance driving was exhausting. You don’t realise how much you need that haptic feedback to constantly do micro adjustments to the steering as you drive to stay in the lane. Without it you only rely on visual, which takes a lot more energy. Looks like Lexus is still tuning their SUVs this way. What a pity.
@@topheavy7616 You are absolutely right on steering during the long distance drives. The newer cars, even the non-luxury ones, put the 5 yr old luxury cars to shame. Having said that, RX 2020+ are awesome. I get to drive them when I give my 2015 for service at Lexus service center.
The RX is a great car and the quality is excellent but the interior is a dud.. Blah. Lets hope they give the next model whatever they gave the ES series.
What works does not change. That is the reason why Lexus is the best built and best quality cars in the world. I would say ever made in terms of quality.
The 2016 Hyundai Tucson has a more attractive design and looks more modern, both in terms of exterior and interior. The Lexus RX 350 looks boring and uninspiring. I think Lexus needs to ditch its current design team.
Stefan Schmidt It's not a premium car. Premium cars start with brands no worse than BMW or Mercedes. Lexus RX is a cheap SUV for everyone and that's why RX is the best selling SUV in its category.
UltimateDriver LOL i came across a lot of lexus review and these youtube account is make the same comment chains just like this like a copy paste. like some anti lexus campaign team or something. do you guys get paid for this, cus if it is, i am ready to jump ships LOL.
My wife has an 2003 rx 300 and was very disappointed at how cheap the interior and gadgets felt in the 2015. It's like Lexus contracted with Fisher Price to do it's interior. The suspension wasn't great either , handling was non existent, drive an comparable Audi , Infinity QX70, Cadillac and you can tell a big difference. The 2015 RX350 does not look feel or drive like a luxury car. People don't buy luxury cars for reliability, they buy them for luxury. So if you want reliability then save yourself the money and get the Toyota version.
Audi is trash and unreliable now a days and is on life support (the quattro in the 80s was the last reliable gem they built), and Infiniti is owned by bankrupted ass nissan that was bought off by Renault, an unreliable scam that screwed over nissan.
Looks like the Kia Sportage. The 2016 RX 350 looks even more similar to the Kia Sportage. The RX 350 is one ugly, tacky SUV. Lexus should be compared to Hyundai, Toyota and Kia, not BMW and Mercedes.
David Bennett I live in Japan and I can tell you that 99% of rich Japanese people prefer to buy BMW and Mercedes, not Lexus. Yes, even Japanese people prefer German premium brands over their own brands.

Hands down the best suv line ever produced . Hats off to Lexus
2 years ago my 2015 RX350 cost us $500 in maintenance. My BILs 2015 Tahoe with about the same miles cost him over $7K. I'm good!

Where can you get it for $15K? I've been looking and the good ones I see are at $22K
Where?? My ride (crafted line) still selling for $22-26k.
