When I lived in San Jose, I took 130 back there a lot. You'd be surprised how remote it gets, how quickly. I think the lake to the left is Calaveras Reservoir. Also, east of Mt. Hamilton is the San Antonio Valley. Also very sparsely populated!! The hills look very similar to down south. Fairly similar rainfall amounts. Also lived in the East Bay for ten years. From the marina in San Leandro, we'd see planes flying into OAK all the time. Good memories.
