    My mom has a problem with her ignition switch. Your video showed me how to open the cover. I was afraid to touch it for fear of the plastic cracking until I came across this video. Thank you for taking the time to educate us, as there was no available technician available to us in the area.

    Hello, I have a brand new Pride Maxima Mobility Scooter. I am a handicapped ( not service related ) US Army Veteran
    and the scooter is my second Pride Maxima provided by the VA. My first Pride Maxima gave me no problems for the last 5 years. About 2 years ago the VA sent out their contracted maintenance company to replace the batteries in my scooter.
    I have been noticing my hoist Up/Down motor is working slower than normal.
    Well I had my new Pride Maxima for about a week. Just a few changes. The motor seems stronger than the last model
    and the tiller is different. You can move it up farther but there is more slop in it after you release the lock.
    A few days ago I went to walmart with my new scooter. It is a tight fit leaving the rest room. I gave a glancing hit to the wall
    when exiting and I lost all power. Turned off and on. Waited and tried the reset breaker. Nothing.
    Looked at manual and some videos and thought maybe a battery connector had come lose. Far as I could see the seat should just lift up. Mine does not. With my severe Osteoarthritis in both knees and Atrial Fibrillation of my heart
    I am limited in what I can do on my own. Monday I will have to call the VA and make an appt for maint tech to come look at it. Glad i still have the old cart.
    Does it sound like a loose battery connector to you?
    Your video showed guy removing seat so easy.
    Is there an trick to that?
    Bill D.

      The seat should lift straight up as long as it is not tilted at all. There could be a couple reasons, so I would advise calling the VA to have a tech look at it. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble!

      @@MobilityDirect Thanks. I called the VA today to send a work order to the contractor. I had my first Pride Maxima for 5 years with no problems at all. The VA replaced the batteries in it 2 years ago.
      I wonder if when the contractor assembled it they did not make sure the battery connectors were pushed in solidly to connect. The glancing contact with the wall when turning may have jerked it loose.
      Do you know if the seat slides back at all? I think my older model had a little more foot room.

      The seat can be moved back back but not slide. There is a plate under the seat with holes so they seat can be moved back.
      It can be hit or miss sometimes getting a good technician with the VA. I am waiting on a new Maxima from the VA for a couple of weeks and will probably wait a couple more.

    I have watched all your videos. I love Sergio, trying to talk to my husband about getting a Transformer auto fold Solax mobility scooter. OR the Ride Mobilty Go Go folding scooter.

      Awe, thanks Jane! :) If you want my advice (this is Sergio), go with the GB120 Buzzaround Carry-On. It's hand-down the best folding scooter.

    Got caught in the rain with my Pride Maxima 3 wheeled scooter and it hasn't worked since. I pulled it apart to see if i fried anything electrical. Are there fuses i cannot see located anywhere and do the batteries have to be re-connected a particular way? Should have taken pictures of it together but neglected to do so and cannot remember how the batteries are connected?

      I'm not sure, there isn't enough information for me to know exactly what you should do. I can suggest filling out a help ticket here: www.mobilityscootersdirect.com/customer-service

    I have a Pride Maxima with a status led that blinks continuosly, any suggestion as to why?

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  Год назад

      You'll want to count how many flashing it does and check the manual. Flashing led lights are designed to help you perform basic troubleshooting quickly and easily depending on how many flash codes your Pride Maxima shows. Thanks for watching our video and commenting! We appreciate the support.

      The scooter may just need some grease. Try greasing up the bearings and areas around the brakes.

      @@MobilityDirect Thanks that’s what I thought . Is that something simple to be done or do you recommend a tech to do it. ?

    • @MobilityDirect
      @MobilityDirect  Год назад

      It all depends on your tool set and experience with tools. We have videos that show you how to take it apart, if you are confident in doing so, do so with caution. Apply grease to any areas that have bearings or friction.
