Like many of you mentioned, it is definitely that vocoder sound going on with an auto tune of some sort. I been messing around with the plugins for a mix all morning. Pretty cool sounding, for anyone that mixes try throwing it on a guitar. I got some awesome sounds from it. - Alan
The screamer, Yuna, also has a few regular singing parts in some of their songs. She’s got the sweetest voice out of all them.
Oh wow! I am now in love 😍
The vocal effect is their style because their genre is mix of electronic and Hardcore. For next Passcode reaction you should react "Golden Fire" Live performance. Thanks
Ah I see. Got it down on the list. 🤘
Please, for the love of god react to more PassCode songs. It's such an underrated band.
Done! Alan wasn't sold but I was. I wanna hear more.
@@dicodec They are absolute 🔥!!! Yuna Imada's scream is worth of a Deathcore band. Clarity is an excellent album. 🤘
They have a playlist of this concert on their official channel you should check out, the crowd they pull in really gets into it and adds a lot of energy. There is also a Bring Me the Horizon cover they did that came out of nowhere lol. Thanks guys keep up the good work!
Thanks so much you really are a true MVP! Oh snap, That's badass! I'm actually a BMTH fan. We'll see what's up my dude!
Her scream stuck in ma head! 😍 shes awesomeeeee i love all of your reaction! Thankyou i got a lot new band into ma list now lol
Thank you so much! Glad you got to experience Passcode with us for the first time.
My FAVOURITE PASSCODE SONG!!!!!!!
I figured its a good one to start people on ;)
😃
My third fav group
That makes sense, I was 100% sure that they were still hitting the note regardless of if they were using autotune or not. Don't get us wrong it still sounded great just as you said we have to get used to it. Yeah I really like the band Fear and Loathing. I've heard their stuff in anime and though it was dope. Man the heavy vocalist is amazing 😍😍
@@dicodec I was gonna suggest them (to Alan?) later on (and Passcode even later) so this is.. kind of strange ahah but I guess changing from BM to Passcode is very easy.
@@dicodec YUNA! YUNA! YUNA!!! 🤘 💥🌶️
Noise my favorite alternative idol band PassCodes! They were right Golden Fire (Live) should be next! /,,/🎌✌
That's dope! Is that they type of group they're called? That's interesting. Fa show fam.
OMG thank you for react to Passcode! 🤘🏻
Like female japanese screamers? Yes? You need react to Broken By The Scream !
Welcome! 😊
We will react to them just be patient with us fam.
❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
Their best live performances: Trace (2016) and Taking you out (2018)
Alright, we will take your word for it fam. We will make sure to check out those performances.
You're not the only one calling them "Female Fear, And Loathing"
Okay cool, I was worried people would bite my head off when I said that Haha.
Nice! The start of the song instantly reminded me of Utsu P (metal vocaloid producer) but the fact that is is live makes it even better.
Right! Just something about the lives that make stuff alittle more epic.
utsu-p actually has his own idol group he produces for now called zsasz, should check them out!
Well, SU-Metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) the main singer in Babymetal is 23yo and the youngest in PassCode (Hinako) is 22yo, of course all other members in PassCode are older than Su-Metal.
Oh wow. That's pretty interesting.
Passcode are one the best alt idol groups out there. And they are one of the very few with a dedicated band for live shows. Check out more alt idol, theres not many reaction channels doing that.
They are legit for sure! Alan wasn't completely sold but I was. Drop us some names and we will add them to the list. -Eric
@@dicodec try Necronomidol, 2& (she's more pop punk but super kawaii), ladybaby (they just sadly went on a hiatus) burst girls are amazing, BiS, melon batake a gogo, Satanic Punish, or if you want to really have a scare try Hanako San 14th generation toilet ghost. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year at an idol show. She's a tiny ball of terrifying fun haha oh and if you want all female japan punk definitely check out Otoboke Beaver. They are one of my favourite bands just now. Enjoy! 🤘
Those names are all sick! I'll get on adding them to the list. Thanks for the help! 🤘
@@dicodec you are most welcome. There's an amazing band for every occasion in Japan!
It took me a while to get into PassCode but when I did I fell hard. For me, the shiny synth lines and the vocoded vocals are a perfect counterweight to the heavy riffs, monstrous breakdowns and harsh screams. This isn't one of my favourite songs but it's a decent place to start. I would recommend either ONE STEP BEYOND (live) or TRACE (live), then maybe check out their recent unexpected cover of Bring Me The Horizon's Mantra. By the way, PassCode formed in 2013, the current lineup has been together since 2015, and they are not "significantly older" than Babymetal. In fact the youngest member (Hinako) is six months younger than Su-Metal. (Edit: I realise you've been watching older BM videos. Time you checked out something more recent, like PA PA YA!!)
Exactly, all the things we really liked about them in this first listen. Alright dope, we will check those out as well. I'm a Bring Me The Horizon fan as well so we're definitely checking that one out. Oh wow they look so kuch more mature haha.
Noice Passcode. Check their song Ichikabachika. 😁
Edit: woaaah Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas mentioned!!!
For sure, I want to see more of them.
Haha yeah I like that band.
If you guys enjoyed this, check out Trace by them. Personal favorite. Yuna, the screamer is amazing. Yes, the vocal effects are part of the band. They can sing, they really can, but that's just part of what they do for some reason.
We dug it, we wanna hear more. We believe it, I think it's just an effect and it doesn't actually flex the pitch like autotune does. The screamer is amazing, I think I have a new crush 😍😍
Artist:a crowd of rebellion song:Ill
verycool
Alright, done deal. We shall react.
Wow
You're wow! 😍
Her screaming!!😳
I think it's really attractive with females can do heavy vocals 😍
Amazing react! You should react to Atlas by passcode 🙌🏻 one of their best songs and my favorite from them!!!
Alright we are down. I've already added it to the list.
I hope I'm the first one recommending this band. Kiba of Akiba (or Kiba no Akiba) it's a good band to react, their video "Oh, My Personal Computer Is Dead" it's a really cool song with a funny video of someone with a damaged computer, lol. It's kinda metalcore.
You are. I've never heard of that band before. Sound interesting for sure. Let .e add to our list.
PASSCODE
I LOVE
PLEASE REACT MORE
TAKING YOU OUT PLEASE
Done! Added and it's going down.
They have a comparable sound to DOLL$BOXX. The all girl Japanese band fronted by Fuki. The song Take my Chance is a great start. Fuki's clean vocals with screams!!! You guys said you were getting on this 😉🤘😊🤘
Oh no way? That's pretty dope. Yup yup we are just had to get some quick ones done first. We will get on them real quick.
Hi D. Was that a vocoder effect on their voices? There were some cool riffs in there but I'd liked to have heard more of their natural voices. BAND-MAID always 1st ❤. Kudos.
Yup, they use it as their style
Ah i see, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up for us. We've got more BandMaid coming up friend.
Nice reaction‼👏👏👏
from Japan🎶
request O.K.⁉️
BROKEN by the SCREAM
"七色スクランブル NANAIRO SCRAMBLE"
Live ver.🎵🎵
Thank you! We will react to Broken by the Scream for sure.
Excellent observations and comments. I have a few of their songs in my playlist but not a huge fan. I do recognize the talent so please don't hate on me haha. I call this more Jpop than Jmetal. You guys look like your having fun and enjoying it. Keep up the good work. 🤘🦊🤘. Oh btw no comparison to Babymetal or MTH 🤪.
Thank you so much! Yeah this style isn't really for everyone. I can see why people really like it though. Some aspects are really good. We really did enjoy it though. It was a really good performance.
Golden Fire is so good too
For sure! We've gotten a few votes for that song. So hopefully we can knock it out soon.
Is very unique music 😁 , react pasccode miss unlimited 🤘
For sure, they definitely caught us off guard with it haha. Just added it to the list friend.
@@dicodec thank you bro 🤘
The autotune Is their style thing.
Almost all their songs have those effects
Even live
Ah I see. It sounds dope! We didn't have a problem with it. We just weren't expecting it haha. That's cool that it's part of their sound.
@@dicodec It's called Vocoder, it's not the autotune did Cher used. More like robotic sound effect like T-pain and Steve Wonder had used. Very fitting from their futuristic/gamey style sound.
Christopher John Ferrer I am literally messing with a song right now with the vocoder. -Alan
You guys should listen to three cheers for sweet revenge encore album from ghost killer entertainment the songs are godlike
When I saw Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge I immediately though My Chemical Romance haha. Sounds intense though we will look into it.
Thanks
Bands with such heavy synth makes me miss the old days of Nintencore, like HORSE The Band or I Shot The Duck Hunt Dog. Lol
Nintencore? 😲
@@dicodec Hell yeah, Nintencore!! Dude's you gotta check out some Nintencore bands. HORSE The Band is def top dog, but I Shot The Duck Hunt Dog, Bubblegum Octopus, and WeEatPixelsForBreakfast are all sick. We Butter The Bread With Butter's first LP had some major Nintencore influence mixed in there, and it slaps so fucking hard!!
Broken by the Scream pls!!
I'm super hyped for that band. Think we might do it very soon maybe even as early as this week. 🤘
@@dicodec They're Lit Bro! BBTS! /,,/
Hell yeah!
Is this also an AMUSE product? Curious.
To the best of my knowledge PassCode have always been managed by an agency called we-B Studios, and their record label is Universal Music Japan. So no, nothing to do with Amuse.
No idea 🤷♂️
nice choice👍 Please bring the Bring Me The Horizon Mantra covered by your passcode
Down! We might not look like it but we are BMTH fans so we gotta check it out Haha.
Su and Moa are 22 and 21 now!!! Don't even try to compare them to BabyMetal 😎
We're sorry sir 😞
@@dicodec It's all good.
😃
I mean all the passcode members are also grown women too lol
timah panas band and total vandal band
Hey guys, try something from MUCC!
That's a new one. Let me add to our list fam.
@@dicodec Is a veteran band, more than 20 years, so much genres add in their style, a lot of stuff worth seeing!
If you want to see unexpected things you have to see "Eskimo Callboy - Hypa Hypa" ..
I've seen so many reactors pop up on my reccomended list reacting to that song. Is it that unexpected?
@@dicodec It definitely is.. I've never heard something like that. It's so crazy weird but somehow crazy good at the same time.. I don't want to spoil..
They're a German band and wanted to do something special to introduce their new singer. And it is very special.
Oh wow haha. Sounds sick! We will go in with high expectations.
@@dicodec oh and I forgot to say nice video. There are so many good japanese Rock/Metal Bands that are mostly unknown.
" Taking you out" from Passcode is one of my favorits. Or "Secret MAIKO lips" from BAND-MAIKO (BAND MAID but in Maiko Outfits) is special, too. Just for a few examples for Japanese Rock
Vocaloid is a style in Japan, super processed vocals. I don't like it; I prefer natural vocals, but to each their own. Solid performance.
Yea, agreed. That is what I was thinking, it was probably the style they were going for because it was very present. -Alan
bruh vocaloid is an actually computer generated voice program that isn't a human being, this is not vocaloid.
I’m not a big fan of the synth auto tune stuff. They’re good. I’m just not super into that sound.
I feel it. It's not for everyone. It still sounds dope overall though. In our opinion.
Nobody wants to play the Heavy..... Strapping Young Lad > Passcode .... Gotta call 'em as I hear 'em......
Damn, savage.....I love it haha.
First
First to give you a like.
😃
Too much autotune in this band, my ears are bleeding.
Apparently, it's called vocoder. It's really not that bad chief.
